What really impressed me happened after I left. I had mentioned we were heading across the street for lunch, and after we left I realized an expensive spool of fishing line that I'd already paid for had been left behind. Instead of waiting for me to figure it out, they called the restaurants across the street until they found us so I could come back and pick it up. That level of customer service is incredibly rare. They truly went above and beyond, and they've absolutely earned a customer for life!

They also have a specialty course designed for women's self-defense that I do hope and intend to take my daughter to when she's of age. These gentlemen are incredibly respectful, kind, and are willing to help you out. No judgments, and are willing to give you the insight that they've learn learned through years of technical training, local/state LE, and military experience. As a woman, I do understand how daunting it may seem to decide on where to go, what kind of weaponry to choose in this day and age. The staff at CQT make it an easy choice for me. I took my CPL re-certification course out here with Dutch, and also had some pretty awesome insights from both Brian and Brandon. This range is a big business chain prioritizing profit over people.

Behind the counter you'll find a mixture of inexpensive pocket autos, old guns, and the owner, Griz, who dispenses some of the most outrageous BS you'll ever hear in a gun shop. I've heard him go on about AKs, saying he spoke at length with Mikhail Kaliishnakov at the US distributor's warehouse. Nice try, but Kalishnakov never worked for a US distributor and didn't speak English. The last time I was there he was explaining that the ammunition shortage was due to the government buying up all the ammunition made and shipping it overseas. The younger guys who work there are pretty reasonable, and I'm told that Griz is in the process of selling the business to his son in law, so perhaps things will improve. If you're in the neighborhood it's worth a visit just to see the old collectables, but generally I purchase my ammunition and supplies elsewhere. Update: The last half dozen times I've driven by the store has been closed and locked up. Are they still in business? No idea.

Knowing the high price they charge to shoot Sporting Clays there, a group of us shot their Ridge Sporting Clays course expecting a top notch experience. The course itself was laid out as expected with nothing special. The targets were all the same size and had only decent arrangement. We kept waiting for the good stuff. Sad to say that never happened. As anyone knows the throwers will malfunction at any course. With one expected "no bird" when the button was depressed on 5 of 14 of the stations, this was acceptable to us. Until we went to pay. They charged us over .50 per extra count. They literally give you ZERO extra birds or no-throws on the 100 machines. With other ranges giving 40 per 100, we didn't expect to pay for 22 over. It's not the cost per se, it's the audacity. This place is way overpriced and very underwhelming. My group of shooters will not be back there.
