I called on Friday afternoon needing 25 chairs for a last minute bbq I was having the next day. they said I could pick up the chairs that same day to have it all day on Saturday then return Sunday at no extra charge. You pay for the rental items plus a deposit. You get the deposit back when you return the items. It was only chairs so I picked them up myself instead of paying extra for delivery. It was quick and easy. It was already ready for me on a cart to load up. You have to load and unload items yourself. Rented a tent for an event for $1600; had bad winds and contacted the owner to reqest that her team come out and properly ground the tent so the winds wouldn't blow it away, as it was a liability and danger to others in the area. She requested that I remove the walls of the tent (which we did); and then in the night she sent her team to remove the tent the before our event had occurred. After talking to her she, is not refunding the $1600, and says it was our fault (that there was bad weather). Currently fighting the charges with my credit card company, and will follow up with a letter from my lawyer. read more

We had a graduation party for 70+ people and had a different vendor scheduled to drop chairs off. The other vendor never showed, no call, and never responded to messages the morning of the event. After cancelling a terrible prior service provider, I contacted M & M Party Rentals on a Friday afternoon, needing a large canopy, 10 round tables, 2 rectangular tables and 60 chairs for Monday 7:30am set up since our event was at 11a. It wasn't a problem at all. Our employee who was retiring after 43 years of service, had a wonderful luncheon. Everyone from the office to the delivery/setup crew are super nice. I've come to this place for the past decade for chair and table rentals. They have black and white chair options - as well as different styles. They can range from $1 to $2 per chair. They provide big tables and cocktail tables rentals. We've always done cocktail tables which can range from $5 each to $10-$12 each rental depending on the style you choose. You can also request to rent table cloths in different colors as well, which can be at $12 each. They also ask for a security deposit when placing an order. Went to M & M Party rentals to rent out 1 table 24 chairs and 3 cloth cover up table because I already have two table of my own at home already. Each table can fix 8 chairs around... when the delivery guys called to verify the delivery. I ask him can he add 1 more table and 1 more cloth cover Because didn't realize I need another table for my guest food. So total of is 2 table, 24 chairs and 4 cloth. When delivery man arrive I only check to see if was the right amount I'd order but didn't check the inventory paper was mark wrong that said it said 3 table, 24 Chairs and 4 cloth. And sign for it. Which it's my fault for not checking. I only received 2 table, 24 chairs and 4 cloth. Due to id order an extra table I had to pay up front $14 for the extra table I ordered which right. When the guys came and pick up the tables. He ask me where the 3 table at. I keep telling him only order 2. We argue back and front smh. I had to called the store to them what the issue was. The lady on the phone also argued with me saying whatever I sign for is what I got. I told I never got an extra table. Super rude too. She had to check the camera to see how many table the delivery guys loaded. And it only show two table. She never apologize for there mistake and she extremely rude instead of fixing the problem she addressed it as is only my fault which it's also delivery guy fault for not checking neither. Table was old and ugly but i was covering it up with a Dollar Tree tablecloth and by the time all of the food and goodies were put on it, it didn't matter. The girl helped me load items into the truck and everything, I was super impressed by the experience as a whole. One star deducted for charging $2 to pay with card. Quick and painless delivery service, but customer service is failing. They are very poor at being informative & communicative. If you don't ask the questions they won't mention it. Although punctual and reliable, they just walked straight into my backyard to pick up the rentals. They didn't call during drop off either. People skills is true as other reviewers have said. Currently sitting waiting for these fools to pick up the dirty, old tables and chairs they brought to my event AN HOUR AND A HALF LATE. When they dropped them off I called and talked to two different people - not one of them apologized but instead gave me a myriad of different reasons why they weren't on time...including the fact that our event was in Torrance and their office is in Long Beach. What difference does that make to me?!? It's called TIME MANAGEMENT. Figure it out. You said you could be here...so BE HERE. Also, when they dropped off the tables and chairs they tried to get meal tickets to our event and then gave us attitude that we asked them to tour the office first. (the prerequisite for everyone else to get a meal ticket!) The time for them to pick up their crap came and went so I called and talked to someone who said they would try and get someone to me in 15 minutes if I would just get off the phone with them. What!? 15 minutes came and went so I called AGAIN and got ALLLLLL the attitude in the world. Again, their office is in Long Beach, the crew is coming from Huntington, they are in traffic...blah, blah, blah, blah. I told the gal I was talking to that we had to leave because the event ended 45 minutes ago and that they were responsible for their merchandise. She told me no, we signed a contract that said we were responsible. I said we also signed a contract that you were supposed to be here at 10am and that didn't happen. Apparently the contracts only work in their behalf. I told the last girl that I talked to that not one person had apologized, totally giving her an out to make this right and NOPE. Still no apology. Unbelievable. Bottom line - if you have all day to wait and hope they come, by all means schedule away. But if you have an event that has a definite start and end time, just RUN away now! I was happy with the initial experience of signing up for the rental, and picking up the supplies. I rented a 30 foot red carpet, stanchions, and red ropes. Everything was pre-wrapped, I didn't get to inspect it before I left. We had a pre-prom party in a hotel, and when my husband rolled out the carpet, he noticed there was a small tear in it. No big deal, it was on carpet inside, so no one tripped or anything. When I went to return the items, they rolled out the carpet, and saw the tear. I specifically told them that I had not been allowed to inspect the carpet beforehand, so there was no way I could have had them note that the tear was present. They were not very nice about it, although they didn't come right out and accuse me of tearing it, they did everything but. The lady behind the counter kept complaining that they were going to have to cut it, because it couldn't be used like that, and that they had to make sure in the future to have customers sign that the merchandise was received in perfect condition. They made me feel like I did something wrong, when I did not. I don't know if I would go there again, I would likely look for another place first. read more

When I first called and spoke with Jessica, I thought this was good company to rent from. Unfortunately it was not the case. After I was told that I paid in full by Jessica and my contract states I did. The owner named Ana called me to say I did not pay in full and that I owed $79.00. I told her I had paid everything and what was this extra charge?. Ana states that Jessica did not add everything and that I still owed for delivery. After going back and forth the Owner Ana hung up on me. I proceed to call back when Ana picked up and started to press the numbers to keep me from speaking. Then Ana stated this is what this bi*th gets, I said excuse me? And Ana goes yes this is what you get. I have never in my life been treated like this by any company before. Ana said other things and then threaten me and my company. There were many choices when I stared looking for a party rental company and called a few in the Long Beach area for our company gathering of 50 people. I needed round tables, tablecloths and chairs. M&M Party was really the BEST!! Nichole was the person who helped me and she was really friendly; they delivered & picked up on schedule and their price was the best price in town! Just used M&M Party rentals for the first and last time. I am surprised to find their customer service praised on here, as we were pretty irritated with them. My advice, if you decide to use M&M for your next event, count everything as it enters your home, even if you're busy with set up or a caterer! Make time. I thought I was too busy to bother opening the linens and counting each one before we signed the delivery slip, but it was necessary. By the time the catering staff opened them up to fold, I had guests and no time to bother with being shorted five napkins. We ended up using a few mismatched ones I had in a drawer and moved on. When they called the next day to tell me I was missing linens and would be charged for them, I explained that we returned everything we had received. Their response [which none of their paperwork states] - "... then you should have called the day of your event..." Really? As a hostess I'm expected to leave my guests and call the rental company to argue about five napkins? I think not... So not only did I pay to rent the items I never actually received but I also paid to replace them. Whatever, it is what it is. But seriously, the order was quite small... and 20/25 napkins? If a rental company can only deliver 80% of an ordered item... good luck with your 200 guest wedding. We will never use them again, as their response to their mistake was rather disappointing. BUT to be fair, [ and the only reason I went with two stars instead of one ] the delivery guys were stellar... Very polite, in and out really fast, and kind enough to set up our two tables. I can give them the benefit of the doubt , and acknowledge that my experience may be in the minority; anyone can have an off day. But what a crappy way to deal with it. The older lady that work there has horrible customer service, as I was picking up the one table I rented which was an salad bar table, she harassed me about being careful don't break it, first she said the table was $300 if I break it then she said a $1,000 if I break I asked her to please not to add stress to my happy party day and I assured her I do this very often I'm very careful with other people stuff, she then started telling my husband how to load it in his truck lol and he is a mover professionally( she sound dumb) telling me if we break it she has my debit card. If I could give a zero I would, if I had other options with a salad bar that day trust me I would left that table there for sure but indeed ex it and when I returned it un broken I told her she lost a customer, my mom nor will my sister go there again. The best party place is in Gardena they're called Octolan Party supply. Best prices and great customer service. The old lady there should get a job somewhere other than a party store party supply should only give good vibes. read more

We used M&M party rentals this past weekend for an event on the beach. The services were easy to set up, but upon arrival, the crew was relatively unhelpful and uninterested. The set-up crew only set up some of what we ordered, and left without notice. The work crew left all of the set up about 150 yards from our event, so we had to carry it all. We had to set up 150 chairs and 15 large tables by ourselves, and without instruction on how to work lights or heaters. One of the heaters we ordered ($65) did not work, and the bubble machine and volleyball set did not work either. Not to mention the large moving truck got stuck in the sand, and required attention from a state trooper. Overall added to the stress of an already stressful event. read more

always rented items from them. never had a problem until recently. rented the medium punch fountain but could not use it because right when we plugged it in, there was a very noticeable leak. my sister went to turn it in the next day and advised the lady @counter (think she was the owner's wife)- she said ok, made a note of it and smiled. shortly afterward, just a few minutes later when my husband went to turn in chafers we had rented separately, he overheard her and the 2 'helpers' making fun of her, calling her names and making fun of her looks. good thing he spoke Spanish because we don't. After the lady's husband apologized for his wife's unprofessionalism, his wife then tried to deny that she was making fun of my sister. I would think with her face rivaling a pitt bull's she'd be a bit more humble or at least STFU until she's sure there are no customers within earshot. i'll still rent from there, because you can't really beat those prices- but I've got her number from now on. read more
