I couldn't be happier with M & M roofing! After having several quotes from other companies their quote was by far the best! They kept me informed through out the process and performed quickly. My house is a 140 year old restoration with a metal roof and several domes and turets. They treated the home with utmost respect and detail. They also redid the yankee gutters which other companies wouldn't touch. If I could leave more stars I would. I plan on recommending M & M to all of my clients and friends. Job well done!

We signed the contract and put a deposit for half the entire amount. After we signed the contract and put in our half deposit, we were informed that 2 of our windows are arched and Andersen 100 doesn't make arched windows. They said we could replace our front of the house windows with Andersen 400 or Simonton. Simonton is supposedly a less expensive window than Andersen's 100 series. But, they quoted us a higher price to replace the front windows with Simonton than we were quoted for the same windows in Andersen 100. We ended up ordering Simonton Windows with grids for our entire house. We had already paid ($15,000) from our original contract and we were locked in with JP Exteriors. On window installation day, we noticed that there was one window at the front of the house missing a horizontal grid. They let us know that they could get us a "great price" to replace the window that we had already paid for with the proper grid. They also left several small projects unfinished including painting the trim around 2 windows, filling interiors holes around 3 windows, fixing an interior window sill that was damaged during window installation. Ultimately, the window that was missing a horizontal grid was replaced at no additional cost to us and the remaining unfinished items were all competed in a satisfactory manner. However the replaced window that was missing a horizontal grid has now been replaced and the vertical grids on the top window are not lined up with the vertical grids on the bottom windows (See photos below.) It looks terrible and is at the front of our house. We wanted to love JP Exteriors based on their 5 star reviews, but unfortunately, we have had a 1 star experience. Update: They have said that they will fix the window so that the grids line up. If this happens, that will be good.

Along the way, we also discovered that we needed to have the roof replaced, and so put that in the mix for a bid as well. We contacted six different companies, each of which brought a particular set of strengths and challenges. We chose Austin Pro based on a combination of factors: personalized attention to our project, comprehensive estimate and explanation of each line item, and ability to get the project done on a timeline that worked for us. We chose to have the house re-sided with Hardie Plank, painted with Sherwin-Williams paint, and re-shingled the roof with GAF shingles. It's easy to get overwhelmed by the process of basically re-doing the entire house, especially when insurance companies come into play. To that end, everyone at Austin Pro was first rate. Before we even settled on a contractor, Paul, our project manager, walked me through the intricacies of the process, and spent probably more time than he wanted explaining how things would go, and what options we had. The bid was competitive, and the line-by-line items on the original bid made it easy to see what was going to be done, and what materials were going to be used. He was patient and courteous and flexible, and was also able to speak to us in a way that didn't make things even more confusing. Kevin was the siding project lead, and though we never met in person, I felt comfortable that he had our best interests at heart as he got the crew on site, working fast and efficiently to remove and replace the siding. He even called in the middle of the siding job to tell us that we didn't need something we thought we would, saving us money that we could then use for add-ons we didn't originally budget for. The siding install and siding paint was done beyond our initial expectations, with nice touches like window framing and utility box framing that I didn't even know we needed but now look perfect. We had the back door repainted as well as our front balcony and pillars, and the end result is fantastic. It really was done to the point where it looks like a brand new house, and not one built in the early 1990s. Paul was back on site for the roofing job, and the roofers did a great job removing and replacing the shingles and skylight with new materials, on a roof that is exceptionally steep and challenging. They had the entire project done in only two days, and it looks fantastic. Finally, Garrett came by to do the final walk-through and punch list check-off, and was a real pleasure to interact with. He fulfilled all the items on the list, at least the ones he could do on his own, and did so in a friendly, courteous, and extremely efficient manner. All in all, Austin Pro lived up to their name and to their reputation. It is possible to find a company that can do your big jobs for less, but I am not sure you could find one that could do it better. They stand by their work with a quality assurance guarantee, and while I don't intend to need it, it's great that it's there.

After they finished painting my house, a few weeks later after heavy rains I noticed a stain on the ceiling of a guest bedroom. I knew immediately it was the long nagging problem of the "dead valley" along my roof. The house was designed and built according to the architect's drawings to have the roof of the first floor bedroom run into the siding of the house. It was a short "run" and rainfall should go quickly into the gutters. But, this was built under a big, old oak tree and for many years, I've had leaves and twigs built up, damming up the water. If I can remember it, I have to get up on a ladder with a rake and rake the leaves away from where the shingles meet the siding. After one major hailstorm, I had the roof replaced and when they replacing it, I asked them to build something to reduce the leave/branch damming. They did build it, but apparently not big enough. It lasted probably 14-15 years until this recent Spring. Since I had a good experience with 21st Century, I called them out to give me a bid on repairing what was probably rotted trim and exposed flashing and other rot elsewhere. And while they were at it, I asked them to build me a better diverter away from the siding. They came out and took care of it in a day. The guy was there from 8:30 to 5:00, taking a break for lunch, but got it done. Since they were also the painters, they asked me for the leftover paint they left for me (for touch-up) that came in handy as they had to replace the rotten trim and as it turned out a section of the roof decking. Attached are the pictures they took for the bid and then afterwards when they were complete. They were detailed enough to ask me first, "hey, this diversion we're putting in is a lighter grey then your shingles. Are you okay with that? We can go back and get darker materials". I said that was fine. No one can see that part of the roof and so it was trivial to me. The only negative thing from the painting and the roofing experience is so minor it's not worth taking away a star is that there will be a gap between when you sign and return the contract and they contact you about scheduling the actual work. In both cases, I had to drop them a line to remind them I was in the queue. Being a service that can't work when it's raining, I can understand that they have days where scheduled work is delayed and that causes a snowball effect of delays.

I started inspecting weapon specs circuit boards at Texas Instruments in 1978. After that was heart valves at Medtronic's Global Healthcare, qualifying high purity gas lines at Motorola, aircraft fasteners at Honeywell Aircraft, and lastly at the Construction Division of Texas Department of Transportation. The point being is that I have seen a great deal of manufacturing during my career. My wife and I spent months researching/interviewing contractors for the major over haul on the multilevel deck on our house. Only one contractor stood out, JASB. In my thirty seven years of inspecting products, this company was deeply impressive. The owner, Audie, was very fast on his feet with revision changes. The construction was performed by craftsmen. Craftsmen are as rare as hen's teeth. Carpenters are bumping into each other. I watched this crew for thirty days from the windows and many times outside. They habitually checked plumb and square with a carpenter's level. They would 'dry fit' parts before attaching them. At the beginning and end of each day the lead man would ask me if I had any questions. The quality of work was astonishing. When the job was complete I watched them leave from inside the house and Renato stopped the truck in the street and walked back onto the driveway to pick up loose nails and screws. I would not hesitate to refer this company to family members or very close friends!

It was faded, rotting in places, pulling away, and honestly just looked tired and sad. We got quotes from two major siding contractors in Austin, and Allied Siding not only came in with the best price, they also gave us a timeline that was dramatically faster than the competition. The siding crew made quick work of removing the old siding and repairing any problem areas they found along the way. They sealed the windows, installed a new moisture barrier, and had the entire home re-sided in just three days. The transformation was remarkable. Our house went from a dated 1980s look to something that feels fresh, clean, and worthy of 2026. After a short weather delay, the paint crew came in and finished the entire job in another three days. In total, the project took only nine days, and that included two door replacements, all exterior doors, and the garage doors being included in the paint job. One of the other companies we considered was about $10,000 more and estimated the project would take around four weeks. We are extremely glad we chose Allied Siding instead. Diego, our on-site foreman, did an outstanding job communicating with us throughout the project and making sure we were completely happy with the final result.
