Took a full week of me calling every single day to get them out to the house. Job was okay. We had to point out things to fix and corners they cut. I would have expected more for the money. It's been over a year since they replaced the siding on my house. I noticed that small patches of paint were falling off one of the walls in my bedroom. The nails that were used to attach the siding hit the sheetrock and caused the paint to fall off. Additionally, one of the areas that they fixed due to the wood warping, was just patched, not fixed. After going through last summer, fall and winter, the wood is warped again. It was not fixed correctly. The foreman overseeing the job never showed up again because he caught COVID. He never came by after the project was finished to make sure the work was done correctly. I questioned the caulking that was being done to the siding along the corners and was told that it wasn't necessary and it was also too pricey. Lastly, I was misled about the "interest free" financing. I learned my lesson - if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. read more

This company contacted me after the recent hailstorm and offered to give me a quote. They said they would work with the insurance company. A guy came out and said I definitely need a new roof and he would work with the insurance. The insurance adjuster came out and approved the work, but the guy from M&M didn't show up. I messaged him and he said is on a medical leave (fair) and he would have someone contact me. No one contacted me. I ended up calling them asking for the estimate that should have already been completed, so I just need the numbers sent to me. No one could figure out where the estimate was, so the guy on the phone said he would try to figure it out and send it to me. Oh but I needed to wait a week because the entire company is at a retreat? As of now I still have not been contacted. I think it is ridiculous I am begging a roofing company for an estimate with all the work going on. If it's this hard to get an estimate I can only imagine how difficult it will be to get the actual job done. Moving on. read more

M & M Roofing installed a new roof on my house in East Austin back in 2017. Overall, they did a great job but because of a small installation issue at the time, siding on the edge of the roof's overhang separated past the drip edge, which caused water to seep into and damage the wood in the overhang. I contacted Dan Trevino with M & M who came over immediately. He acknowledged the issue was indeed the result of an incorrect installation and quickly organized a crew to fix it. He was very professional and the problem was fixed within a matter of days. Dan was very respectful and took responsibility right away - something that feels rare these days. I chose M&M thinking they'd be a professional, responsible, caring, and thorough company. Unfortunately, I was wrong. After spending 30,000 on a new roof it began to leak. It took them more than a week to come out and fix it and once "fixed", it began leaking in other places. They are extremely difficult to get ahold of and after 3 months, not only is it still leaking, but it is causing more damage. We got our roof done in December by M&M. And it's been a nightmare ever since. Everytime it rains, our house leaks. I wish I was exaggerating. I have to put down towels and buckets to protect our wood floors. Not to mention the water damage to our drywall from the leaks. I wish we would of read reviews on this company before paying them nearly 10K for the new roof. Not only did they do a terrible job on the roof, but there is places where the nail gun went through the actual ceiling and left holes. (1 above our shower and 1 in our bedroom). It's been so disheartening. We have had extensive water damage done to our walls because of the leaking roof. They even had the audacity to tell us that it was squirrels that made the damage to the roof which caused the leaks. Seriously?! Squirrels ate through the flashing on our roof!? My husband has had to climb up on our roof during storms to cover places with a tarp. It's that bad. I've waited to write a review, in hopes that they would come through for us, but it's not looking like it. It's been less than a year and we have had to call them about a half dozen times to get our roof repaired. I am at my wit's end. They don't seem to care one bit about hurting a family or their home. I was one of the victims of the hail storm over a year ago in 2009. I had roofers all over the place and they still are, trying to get the job and promising to save you money (for less quality work). I liked their sales pitch from the beginning, about how they use a different kind of starter row (rather than just turn a shingle upside down) and about the felt they use and matching roof jack paint. I waiting about a year and finally had the work done. I was very impressed and was not pressured by the sales person. The crews and supervisor were friendly and professional. They are not the cheapest and did not offer any sort of "short cuts" to save my deductible but I wasn't looking for a shortcut. I just wanted the roof done right and I was impressed. read more

It's the Friday mid-night on Jun/16 and I am writing review on yelp, now you will believe me how much I love this company. My roof was replaced by M&M on 2009, after that my master bedroom started to leak from time to time. I do not remember how many time I have called them, the same spot under the chimney just keep leaking again and again. I have repaired/painted my dry wall twice, all at my own cost of course. Last episode started May/22/2017, deja vu, raining heavily and the dry wall started to bubble. On May/25, one of their contractor came and said he would need a helper to do the water testing and he left. May/30, he came by by himself again, did something but left without telling us what's been done. I called the boss, who suggested me to cut the dry wall open and wait for the next rain since their new policy does not allow water testing anymore. Yes, a hole in my master bedroom and wait for next rain! As an engineer, I built myself a water leak detector and insert into the wall. On Jun/5, my leak alarm beep like crazy, I were happy that my invention works but it also proofed that the May/30 fix did not help at all. After two no-shown on Jun/7 and Jun/8, as usual no call to info me and no apology, the contractor finally came back on Jun/10 with his helper, water tested and told me it's the chimney cap cause the leak, which is not part of the roof and suggested me to talk to the M&M manager. I texted/left voice message to the M&M manager many times and asking what's the next steps, got a text back 5 days later said he is out of town and cannot take care of it until next week. During the period, I thought about seeking the second option from a different roofing company. Today, the pictures are back and I am really upset after seeing the professional assessment from the another roofing company: " Many of these photos show cracked and broken hip and ridge cap shingles, some with previous repair attempts and smeared with caulking, exposed nails, vents with exposed fasteners, storm collars at metal pipes that need re-sealing, wood damage at chimney, and a few other minor issues." "There are fasteners driven into the wall counter flashing that are low / too close to cricket surface, which will allow water to wick in during sustained, heavy rains. The cricket has fasteners that are driven into the body of cricket and have been sealed over with silicone, but as happens with sealant, it will not be a long term solution. The soldered corners were probably broken during the re-roofing, which would explain why someone would smear roof cement all over the corners and entire cricket. This is very improper and is actually violating the normal functioning of the cricket. Roof cement is not a long term solution and will eventually dry out and crack with expansion and contraction. Avoid this business. They installed a new roof for my home in April 2016. Of course, they were eager to work with me as we were able to file a hail damage claim for the work. About 2 years later, someone was cleaning my gutters and flagged the flashing and shingles around my chimney as rotted, along with the wood around my chimney. I reached out to M&M; they said it was not the roof or construction, but issues with the wood around the chimney and I could not prove otherwise at the time so I called a different roofing company to pull out and replace the wood around the chimney. We were fine for about a year but then, 2019, I notice leaking around the chimney and siding, which got worse over time. Fast forward to summer 2021, I call M&M to look at the rotting siding, and they continue to maintain that it is not a roofing / flashing issue. I recently sold the house and as the new owner is remodeling. Same problem, new owner. She reached out to let me know that her contractor identified rotting inside the chimney as they pulled out the interior tiles, due to leaking from improper flashing and placement of the felt underlay with the roof. Her contractor noted, "the drip edge was only installed in places that could be photographed, meaning it was not installed on the entire perimeter." Their refusal to address this before it created mold into the chimney, with severe damage to the siding around the chimney, is unconscionable. I am working with the new owner to address this and will get it resolved, but not by M&M. Shoddy work, no accountability or sense of "make it right" when their work is subpar. Stay away. read more

After 76 days of waiting for our repairs to be completed, we fired M&M Roofing because of shoddy workmanship, broken promises regarding workers showing up, and lack of supervision. Instead of lining up roof tiles properly to fill in existing gaps, they filled in some of the gaps with mortar. They installed a metal cricket to divert water around the chimney, but left a crease in the metal allowing water to pool instead of leaving the roof. They overlooked or poorly repaired roof vents coming through roof tiles, and they missed repairing flashing that is out of place. I'm not a roofer, but I ended up being the supervisor by having to continuously point out areas of the roof that are supposed to be repaired. Wilson Roofing repaired the tile roof next door to ours while M&M Roofing was attempting to repair ours, and after a few days Wilson Roofing was done. Our neighbor's roof tiles fit together like a puzzle as they're supposed to, and I cannot see any gaps that might allow moisture or animals from entering their home. This is what we are still trying to achieve. I was having to travel back & forth from out of town to check on the repair progress, and made the mistake of paying Audie in full after he promised to complete the job that week (day 35 of 76). No one showed up to work. After three promises & three no-shows to finish the job, and learning that some of the completed work was shoddy, I felt I had no option but to fire them. I received a bid from Wilson Roofing to properly complete the repairs, but M&M Roofing is not interested in refunding part of my money to do so. After asking, Audie pointed out additional terms & conditions that I was not given when I signed the contract that allows them the right to "cure" their work that is unacceptable. How can I let them finish the repairs when they obviously don't have my best interest at heart? Hopefully M&M Roofing will do the right thing and refund a portion of my money to complete the repairs after I publish this review and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I'll update this review if a positive outcome is achieved. read more

Our roof leaked after they put a brand new one. Flashing was not properly secured and dismantled. Eaves started to detach from the beams. I had to call them at many occasions - sometimes they would not bother to come. We had to redo some of the work. Never an apology or even recognizing their poor craftsmanship. Replaced 23 double hung windows. Two are crooked with difficulty closing. Terrible paint job. When they painted inside trim, painted the wallpaper in between windows not realizing it. Can replace wallpaper so had to redo entire room. Offered to paint two rooms for free but why would we do that!? Also got paint on outsidebrick and mortar which can't be fixed. Experience started out great. Audie, the area representative arrived on time and was nice, pleasant, and informative. He stated that I would receive a written estimate in about 7-10 business days. I waited over four weeks to give ample time for the estimate. I never received it. Called some other companies for additional quotes in the interim of waiting. Three months later, not a word or written estimate. Called the office to inquire about it and was told that someone would contact me immediately. To date, six months later, never a word from this company. They probably do good work, but I will never know, so I can't rate that. However, their customer service is severely lacking, and that is what I am rating. read more

They replaced our shingles, vents and pipe boots, no leaks. Once they started the work they were done in the same day. An employee came out a couple of days later to inspect the work and fix anything we were concerned about. I am happy with them. After the last storm some shingles blew off but they came right out and replaced them. It was free because of the warranty for the type of shingle. I don't have any experience with roofs other than the work they did but I am happy with it. read more

I had a relatively small project: paint a deck, replace a fascia, and do some sealing on the siding and roof, which I was told would take a "full day" to complete when M&M was bidding on the job in 2015. Sounded great, so I decided to go with them. M&M first said they'd do the job sometime b/w July 8-10, but never showed up or contacted me to let me know what happened. I reached out to them, and they sent subcontractors out on Jul 18. The contractors they sent did not have the right supplies, which they could not arrange with the headquarters, which resulted in an initial delay of a few days. Credit to M&M, they agreed to reduce the cost by about 10% after I asked them on July 20 (this is at least 10 days after the job was supposed to be done, but was not, due to delays caused by them and their contractors). The contractors did shoddy work and did not come close to finishing the job, which was supposed to take 1 full day. For example, they used foam instead of mortar (the work order stipulated mortar), and they ended up getting spray paint on various things in my backyard in addition to the deck, like windows, decorative rocks, walls, plants, etc. Then, the contractors just stopped showing up when they said they would (multiple broken promised work days, with no notification or anything from them or M&M, and my having to bug everyone to respond and re-arrange the dates). On July 24th, again after I reached out to M&M a few times, they agreed to send new contractors, who seemed much better and seemingly (at the time) finished the job, but the final inspection took place on August 12 (this is almost 1 month after the job that was supposed to take 1 day commenced). During the final inspection, most everything requested initially was finished, except one penetration on the roof was not sealed, a minor detail. The M&M manager said he'd send someone out very soon to take care of this, and asked for the payment, which I gave, since the job was 99% done at that point. Nobody came to do this, despite my reaching out to M&M on August 18 and Sept 8. I received a phone call from (I think) one of the owners to ask me about my satisfaction, and I told him that there is still one thing to finish. He assured me this would get done, but as of mid-December, nobody has come to finish the job. And I now have spray paint on a bunch of things in my backyard, which they did try to clean a bit, but did not come close to getting all of it. Bottom line: The job took way, way longer than advertised, required me to hound M&M to make progress, had unintended side effects of spray painting random stuff in my backyard, and is still technically unfinished. read more

I was very pleased and gratified with the results. The workers were all pleasant and hard working. They cleaned up everyday behind themselves and never left my property unkempt. I was hard on these guys with my initial review, but I have to be completely honest and say over the past few years we've had a couple of issues and each time they came out and resolved the issue, no questions asked. I recently had a small bit of mold which may, or may not have had anything to do with my roof, but none the less, our sales rep, Audie Brower, came out and gave me several options as to how to resolve it. Today, they came out and completely replaced an area that may have been the cause. Here's why I'm writing this review. To me the most important part of choosing a supplier/contractor is 'will they follow-up' when things don't work out. The answer is 100% yes they will. They work hard and have outstanding customer service after the fact. Now, having 'gone thru the trenches with this company', I'd whole heartedly recommend them to you. I'm sold.
