When I told her where I was from she started talking about politics and abortion in that area. Little did she know I work as a pro life advocate. Very unpleasant and not relaxing for me. For the appointment." Then came the next surprise. The Groupon was for a chair massage and reflexology, but she said she didn't even have a chair. For the chair massage she was advertising on Groupon?? Instead, both masseuses were just sitting there, totally available, and instead of honoring the Groupon they advertised, they wanted us to pay $160 out of pocket ($80 each). Apparently the Groupon was just there for decoration. Did I just get punked? Lady do you know much gas is?! As someone who suffers from chronic neck pain, I really need someone who can get in the muscle deep. So when I say I need a deep tissue massage, I mean I need DEEP. Most of the time, I have to direct my masseuse what to focus on and what I need in terms of pressure and most of the time they listen. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. I was paired up with a female masseuse who was sweet enough in manner but didn't seem to speak much English so when I asked her to only focus on my neck or when I kept asking for deeper pressure, she was respond in agreement but then would proceed to continue doing what I asked her not to do. I specifically asked her to only focus on my upper back/neck area and not to do my whole body. She did work on my upper area but then proceeded to do the rest of my body when I asked her not to. I know they are trained to do full body massages but the purpose of getting a massage for a lot folks is to get some relief from pain or tight muscles with specific attention to problem areas. If I'm going to pay an inordinate amount of money for an hour massage, I'd rather not have it wasted on parts of my body I don't need worked on. Needless to say, I realized I can't get what I really need here, so while I appreciated the good service overall, I will continue my journey for a great masseuse elsewhere.
