They came out and after pulling the pump and the attached wiring, showed me how the original installer had done an inefficient installation which was the primary cause of the failure in the first place. Keep in mind, the original installer not only installed it when the house was built but had done a subsequent repair within ten years or so after installation and even during their repair job they did not take proper steps to rectify the situation for the long term. However, Affordable Heating Cooling & Plumbing came in and did an outstanding installation and communicated with me and my wife every step of the way so that we could be knowledgeable after the job was finished. It wasn't cheap but well worth it and a lot less expensive than the phone quotes we had gotten from other area contractors prior to calling them. The technicians were prompt, thorough, and very transparent relative to the work that was being performed. Excellent customer service, excellent repair performance!

He then said he did a visual leak check and didn't find any signs of oil anywhere. He also did states he did not hear any odd noises. Fast forward to Friday June 19th I called the office again this time my unit completely quit, tech comes out at 4:50 pm after checking the Freon level he says it is empty. Did the tech remove the panel to revel any issues no he did not. I had another Tech come out from a fairly small business and he found the problem in less than a minute of looking at my system. There was a small hole in the pipe that I could have put my pink nail into, the tech said now how hard was that to spot. I told him not hard at all I said a blind person could have seen that. I paid a fee in May of $163.33 and a fee on the June visit which was the service fee $80.06. The payment from the Friday visit I put a stop payment on I am not paying for incompetence. I this was done to me I am sure it was done to other people as well. If you have to get your AC checked or repaired don't go to Performance they do not do what they say they are there to do so unless you go the time to stand there and watch what they do and ask questions on did you check this did you check that you are not going to know unless you are standing right there.

Unfortunately, their business model has changed from "honest and hardworking" to "opaque and manipulative." The Technical Issues: In 2020, Santa Air installed my trane system but failed to properly connect the emergency heat strips. I spent five winters wondering why my house wouldn't stay warm below 30°F. They missed this mistake during every subsequent maintenance visit over the 5 years. Recently, they tried to charge me $1,700 for repairs I didn't need. A second opinion confirmed their diagnosis was wrong; that technician fixed Santa Air's original installation mistake and the actual sensor issue for a total of $575. The Billing Issues: Their current pricing "tiers" (Bronze, Silver, Gold) are incredibly over-inflated compared to other local HVAC companies. And if you only need a repair included in the Gold tier, you have to pay for all the things you don't need in the tiers below it. When I realized the invoice was vague and the work wasn't needed, I cancelled. The Ethics Issue: The most disappointing part was the office's response. They tried to emotionally guilt-trip me. They held my refund hostage, telling me they would only return my money if I removed my negative reviews.
