My wife and I absolutely love this little meat shop and have been stopping here frequently throughout our 15 years in Montana. We are retired and often pass through the area on our travels. They have some of the most incredible jerky and sausages! They even have dog snacks! The prices have gone up, but it is important to keep in mind during the cooking process the meat shrinks. The reason I am not giving this business 5 stars is because of the employees. In the past couple years I have not been impressed by the choice of employees. On my last visit I was very unhappy with how my Wife and I were treated as customers. There was a girl working, about 16. My wife had a question and proceeded to try to get the girls attention. She was extremely focused on her cellphone, and would barely look up to speak with my wife. My wife was becoming unhappy and asked the girl for her name in hopes of reaching out to management to correct the issue. The girl told us her name was Mackenzie. She had a very bad attitude, and had little to no interest in using any kind of proper customer service skills. We left very unhappy with our experience and were not able to make the purchases we originally had wished for. A few days later we called the store hoping to reach out to some kind of management and another very unhelpful woman answered the phone. I was born and raised In Polson. A few years ago I moved to California. I try to come visit as often as possible, but typically neglect stopping at M&S due to simply not having time. My last visit was this Summer. My parents and I stayed at Rollins Rv Park and Restaurant, so of course we had to stock up on our all time favors M&S Buffalo jerky. We stayed here about a week, so we took the pleasure of making multiple trips since the . The jerky is phenomenal. I brought my girlfriend some in California and she loved it! She said it was the best she's ever had. This place is awesome. Throughout our trip we encountered multiple employees; most being extremely friendly and helpful. There was one particular employee encounter that gave my family and I a traumatizing experience. When my dad and I entered, we were the only costumers. A thin cloud of fruit scented smoke filled my nostrils. Two women were working, one was plumper with collar bone tattoos and long blonde hair. The other was a younger unkept girl with long brown hair and bright makeup; she appeared tired or hungover, and a slight odor of alcohol came from her breath. SCAM WARNING - AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS I made a one-time purchase from M&S Meats and immediately regretted it. The jerky is not as good as they advertise -- completely overrated. But even worse, this company is a complete scam. Without my knowledge or consent, they enrolled me into a subscription and began charging me monthly and shipping more jerky. I never agreed to this, and there was no clear way to cancel. They have no direct phone number, and no customer support email -- only a vague contact request form on their website that they ignore. I contacted them through the phone number I found on my American Express statement after being charged again. When I asked for a refund and explained I had already tried canceling and even returned the last shipment, they refused. They told me I would need to return the product again -- at my own expense -- even though it was their mistake, not mine. I've now paid twice, spent time and money returning their product, and they still won't take accountability. This is one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. DO NOT BUY from M&S Meats. You'll end up getting charged without your permission and they'll make it nearly impossible to cancel or get your money back. Total scam. read more

I been coming here for 10 or so years. I love good jerky and that is hard to find for a reasonable price around here. M&S rates WERE good and the jerky better. Now under this new ownership, it is unfortunate to say things have crumbled. The store itself is unsanitary. From the quality and price of the jerky, to the taste, even the employees are not kept to high standards. The employee kept giving us the wrong change and grew angry when I corrected her. She is was not talkative and didn't care to make conversation or answer my questions about the meats. She was txting While I was trying to get help. She touched her face and hair a lot throughout my time in the store I noticed. All in all, extremely disappointed. So I tried to contact management and was essentially met with a "take it or leave it" response. I used to love this shop, and the previous owners did amazing. I am from California and this is only the second time I am been through MT. We stopped here to grab and quick bite at the restaurant and my kids wanted to look at the jerky and souvenir shop. This was our first time here and it was very new to us. We sampled some jerky and decided to buy a pack. My husband opened it in the car and found a lot of very fatty and inedible pieces so we decided to go back and try to request a new pack. The girl working was very reluctant and rude to help us. She acted snotty and rude toward us and we felt very unhappy by her response. I think her name was makayla or mackenzie. She was about 18 with long hair and very elaborate makeup. The samples and the man who helped us before were great. we never did get a new pack, but would consider coming back and trying something new. read more

After ordering from about ten other companies that promised Jersey that was like back in the 50-60-70-80 only to realize that I gave it to someone a lot younger than me that really don't mind that kind of snack and I ordered from M&S Meats in Montana which claimed they made jerky just like the old days so I took a chance and ordered some peppered Beef jerky once I got it I tried it and immediately decided then that I will never order from any other place but from M&S meats again I would recommend their jerky to everyone that wants jerky from back in the day read more
