Went to M&T Cafe & Bar in Silverdale for lunch today for the first time. We ordered the Hot Stone Pho Special, Bun Bo Hue, and Saigon Wings. I tried them all and they all are delicious and feel authentic to the Vietnamese culture. The Hot Stone Pho special broth was clear and flavorful and the noodles were just right. Not to soft or chewy. The Bun Bo Hue was delicious and very flavorful. The broth could be a little more spider but it was still delicious with the different cuts of meat and udon noodles. The Saigon Wings were really delicious and crispy. The right amount of fish sauce on them. The server was very nice to us and had a great experience here. They talked to us a lot , which made us like the place even more! Overall the service was excellent! The ambiance of the place was really nice. I loved the wooden theme of the inside and very open. They also had tables and chairs for people to sit outside but it was kind of raining the time I went so I want. Able to sit outside but good to know they have outside seating. My overall experiment is a 5/5. I would definitely come back here again. read more

Began my morning with a caramel latte and Mochi Donuts- what a pleasant experience. I haven't been to M&T for a very long time and I obviously have been missing something special. The latte was so smooth and well balanced flavors, absolutely the best latte I have had in long time. Then I tried the donuts and they were very good. I haven't eaten donuts from bakeries near and far but never had Mochi variety. They are made using rice flour that gives the donut an elastic characteristic and chewy but very good. I had three different flavors - strawberry, raspberry, and chocolate. While I still would say I am a cake donut lover, I would always be willing to eat one of these mochi flavors. Glad to find out there was a Vietnamese restaurant out here in Silverdale. The menu was quite large so it was hard to decide what to get so we just went with a few classics that not disappoint. So many vegan options!! I got the vegan bahn mi and it was so good, large portion, tasty bread. The jalapeños definitely had a kick! My friends got the non-vegan bahn mi and were happy to know there's a place in Silverdale that they can reliably count on for tasty, big, and cheap bahn mi. I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS PLACE. I have yet to be disappointed by something I've ordered here. The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is really cool both outdoor and indoor. As an out-of-towner, I was completely dependent upon Yelp search results to help me find a great Boba shop in Silverdale, Washington. With several positive reviews and so many beautiful pictures, I really thought M+T was just what I was looking for. It wasn't. I don't think I've ever been more disappointed in a Thai tea purchase. The server was friendly and helpful, the ambiance is great, parking is a dream, but my Thai tea lacked flavor. I always ask establishments if they brew their own tea, and create their own Thai tea mixture from scratch. The server claimed M+T does, but I can't imagine that's true. What I was served tasted like soapy water, with a bland reminiscence of something tasting like tea. I sat with my drink, dumbfounded, for 5-10 minutes contemplating what I should say it was just so bad. Not wanting to sound arrogant or angry, I collected my thoughts and got the server's attention. I explained how bad it tasted and she seemed visibly empathetic, but offered no solution. I simply couldn't leave it at that, so I suggested that she perhaps add more of the tea mixture to the drink. She agreed, and returned with a Dixie cup full of tea for me to combine with my existing drink. It did nothing... it was like adding soapy water to soapy water; what you get is nothing but more soapy water. My six and nine year old nieces seemed to enjoy their orders, but let's remember they also enjoy drinking from bottles shaped as Disney characters. What do they know? I'm so done with this place. Their food might be outstanding, the ambiance might be top-rate, but if you ruin my Thai Tea there's no going back! read more

I'd admit I was a bit nervous about food taste when I saw two nonVietnamese employees staff the restaurant. The interior is beautiful, very homely. I ordered bun thit nuong (pork vermicelli) with egg rolls; the sauce is not the typical fish sauce flavor I expected but none the less, flavorful. Meat was tender and flavorful. Egg rolls were ok, less flavor (less savory) than some places I've tried. Staff are attentive, place is modern and clean. So here's the issue, we decided to try the drive through on our way home from some errands. We LOVE corn dogs of all stripes so K Dogs seemed like a logical choice. We couldn't find said dogs in the posted menu, mentioned to the young person taking our order as such and were met with silence. Finally, they told us that they were posted on a sandwich board at the front of the drive through . . . WHICH HAD FALLEN DOWN! Could we see it? No. Could we read it? Also no. We weren't given any help other than a less than kind, "man are these people stupid" attitude. Not an awesome feeling. We ordered some classic, some mozzarella, all with the same coating because we couldn't see the list of options so we just went with the first thing she said that we could remember. The service to the car was super friendly and efficient, though. Well done on that. That said, the dogs were tasty. I might avoid the drive through next time because I don't need to be treated like I am a huge bother. read more

This fully STOCKED Drive Thru you don't want to miss if you're on your way outdoors on the Olympic Peninsula or in town running errands from the Upper Left. The Korean Hot Dogs are EXCELLENT with that crisp- refer to video. And the grilled Banh Mi was on that EXTRA level of hell yes. From the baguette being just the right bite amount of soft bread and crisp with perfectly grilled seasoned pork and daikon peppers with side salad- you can take this to-go for lunch or with you out fishing on a hike. I can't wait to come back for the Bon Bo Hue. Service is A+ with a smile. They have everything from mochi donuts, Vietnamese coffee, boba, vermicelli noodles, just all of it. In the area on a roadtrip, needed something other than fast food, and missing our Pho from the DC area. This was a great fix to cover our need for Pho. Good location, plenty parking, friendly staff, and clean seating area. Really friendly waitress & hostess, not busy so seated right away (inside) - outside seating is available. Ordered some Spring Rolls to start, they were not fried (my wife's usual) but she & I really enjoyed these with the dipping sauce. We both enjoyed our Pho, meat was a little tougher than what we are use to, but not too bad. Plenty of Pho, in fact took some to go, and ate next day - still good. One thing that surprised me was one of the waiters was catching a quick vape as he brought out the food to us- threw me off. They also have drive-thru which is cool. We've been here twice now and the service has been great both times. Once we did outdoor patio dining which was relent nice in a sunny day, and once indoors which is also nice! The chicken wings are nice and crunchy, they are a fish sauce flavor, so if you don't like that, these aren't for you, but they are for me! Hehe. We've ordered a chicken banh mi twice now. The first time the bread was a little stale but the second time the bread was amazingly warm and fresh! If you're someone who orders jalapeños on your banh mi, ask for extra, they chop them up small and we didn't feel like it was enough. The chicken rice plate is also crazy good, an amazing mix of flavors and a hearty portion. I only wish they had it in lemongrass! But overall, loved it. We got the beef chow mein and honestly wasn't expecting much, especially because they are thinner noodles than most chow mein (from what I've noticed this is normal I'm the PNW, but not anywhere else I've lived), but omg it was great! . The steak was perfectly marinated and tender and the whole thing was so nice and garlicky. I loved it. I also ordered a passionate fruit bubble tea. Their tapioca are fresh and warm and they definitely use real passion fruit or real passion fruit purée in the smoothies because the seeds are in it, and the seeds are the best part of the passion fruit! I really appreciate that there is a local drive up where you can actually get Vietnamese food. That's such a great concept. One can actually get some real food that's not typical fast food burgers, tacos, and chicken. The service was quick. I did not wait long at the drive-up window. The person at the window was very sweet. She was patient with me as I perused the menu. I ordered a vermicelli bowl and a Bahn Mi sandwich. They were both okay. I ate the vermicelli bowl for lunch, and the sandwich for dinner. They weren't the best I've ever eaten but they satisfied the cravings for Vietnamese food that I had. So I know this is a coffee and drinks specialty place. Since I'm not into coffee or other beverages other than water, it was a real treat to be able to drive through and get Vietnamese food. They have indoor dining which type of haven't tried nor will I. I have been through the drive thru and dine in. Drive thru is always pretty fast. It's a quick fix for boba cravings, since there are no other places that serve authentic ones around. The ladies that work in the drive thru are very sweet. The intercom needs a bit of work because I sat there for a few minutes once with no response. I have had their banh mi three times and it has always been a hit or miss. The first time, it hit the spot for me, second time it was way too salty, third time I would rather stick to the bbq pork. I wish they would make cold pork banh mi that would be fantastic. Did the dine in experience and the servers were very attentive, I hope that doesn't change. I enjoyed the vermicelli noodles. I enjoy the boba drinks, but it would be nice if they asked how sweet I would like it. When my boba came to the table, it was not sweet at all and I had to ask to get it sweetened. I can only rate my experience going through the drive through and ordered drinks. This is one of my favorite places to order smoothies. I've actually never tried any of their food as of yet. My kids love their smoothies. My son prefers the Thai ice tea smoothie, and my daughter loves the passion fruit smoothie, both with boba! My go to's are Taro Oreo Shortcake smoothie and Strawberry shortcake smoothie. I will say, that sometimes ordering drinks, they are a bit inconsistent. I've ordered puff cream to be added to other smoothies I wanted to try, and once it was never added (I didn't realize until I had left) and another time, it was added to the wrong drink! At my last visit, my Strawberry shortcake smoothie had an off taste. Almost as though there was too much fruit base (or whatever they use?) it made the drink way too sweet and syrupy and just hard for me to finish! And normally, when made correctly, I can suckle that drink down! Other than that, when drinks are made correctly, I love to stop by here! read more

I discovered M & T when they opened their naval st location. They have a full kitchen there as well however, they are slim on staff so they are only selling drinks out of that location at this time. What I love about M & T is the quality and freshness of their food. It has never been short of amazing. They also have endless drink options between spritzers, energy drinks, teas and coffees. Might I add that the Naval location was the first time I tried their Pho and I am not a fan of Pho because of how much of a foodie I am. It disappoints me when the side sauces ARE the flavor and most of the broths don't have any. M & T was the first quick-made pho that I almost didn't need to add any sauces because the flavor was so rich. The staff at any location are always friendly and willing to offer recommendations. The cool thing about M & T is that you can order their food at their drive-thru window so you can get fresh, full meals without having to get out of your car. They make things to order so you'll have to wait in a pick-up stall but it's not much of a wait at all for the quality food that you get. I highly recommend you give them a try. read more

My family (myself, my husband, and 4 kids) came in here for a bite to eat. Great service. Great food. My husband and I shared the spring rolls (had shrimp and barbecue pork) and also shared pho with steak. Both very delicious. We also ordered a couple of Taro milk teas with tapioca boba. Yum! My kids had the breakfast bagel sandwich and the others had the breakfast burrito. They devoured them! One of my kids got the egg rolls, and really enjoyed them. Today we went in and ordered pork spring roll, pork ban mi and chicken chowmein. The chowmein was horrible, served on cast-iron tasted like rust and way to much fish and oyster sauce!! The springroll and BahnMi were good but the chicken chowmein made my partner really sick! When I told them they gave me 2.00 off of a 14.00 grossest food ever. This used to be my go to place for coffee and food. I went here for group gatherings, to-go after running errands in the area but now I've had enough mess ups on my orders in a row. Coffee I asked for it blended, it wasn't; or it wasn't the right drink at all. Boba drinks gotten it with straws that aren't even big enough for the boba. Asked for a specific type of fried rice and received it in a spring roll that was really warm... That in instelf warrants for food safety issues.. it's been multiple trips where we've asked for food items just to get home to only realize they've given us something that was wrong and cheaper on the menu. It's not difficult to get things right. Obviously repeating them twice to the customer doesn't help. read more

Went there for lunch today with a friend who recommended this place. Ordered the teriyaki chicken with rice and it comes with salad. YUMMO! My friend ordered shrimp fried rice with spring rolls, looked wonderful and will try next time. We both ordered iced coffee, better than Starbucks. Place is beautiful and very clean. I've been to M&T twice now and each time really enjoyed it. The food is awesome (I've tried one of the rice plates, as well as the fried rice) and the boba is great. Plus the service is wonderful. I haven't tried the pho yet, but that's definitely next on the list. The interior of the restaurant is also really nice, it's clean with a modern vibe.
