Excellent service yesterday by our waitress Melissa! Couldn't have asked for better! We did AYCE and we weren't rushed in any way. The sushi chefs did a great job as did the hostess. And, as anyone knows me, iykyk....I am a clean freak! The restaurant was immaculately spotless. You could smell the cleanliness as well as see it. Furthermore, the hostess was wiping surfaces down when she wasn't tending to customers. I really cannot wrap my head around the lower star ratings left by other customers. The food quality, taste and presentation were superb for the value! Coming to Trappers has always been our treat in the Pacific Northwest. And after living in Las Vegas for the past three years, we are so happy to hear that there has been expansion with two openings in Arizona. Please consider Vegas...you all would make money hand over fist there.

My husband and I decided to come to Trappers on a Monday night for a date (because weekends are extremely busy and im too old for that.) We sat at the AYCE sushi bar and was taken care of buy Chef Corey (red coat). First off, this man and his crew were swamped. They were making rolls left and right. The amount of professionalism portayed that evening was fantastic. I decided to have a leap of faith and let the Chef choose 3 out of 4 of my rolls and my husband did the opposite, but nonetheless they were ALL amazing. There was NOT one roll I didn't like. My most favorites though had to be the Thrill, 'Tis The Salmon, and Trump. Will I come back? Of course!

Wow! My fiancé has traveled through every U.S. state and has never found a better roll than what Jake created for him. He offered to make custom rolls based on preferences and did not disappoint. The look on my fiancé's face when he took a bite of the "Titan" was pure astonishment. This creation was second only to what he had in Japan. He was too full from his previous rolls to finish it, but he couldn't wait to write down what was in it so that he could order it next time. We have been coming here for years, but will keep coming back just to see what Jake has up his sleeve next!

Miso Soup was barely lukewarm and tasted watered down. My Wife's Salmon was dry, and the spicy tuna sushi had a bad rice-to-tuna ratio. The "spicy" tuna sushi tasted mostly like too much horseradish from the wasabi they used. My Sushi was kinda just okay. Everything tasted a little plain. 3/10. Service was fine, they were busy but the inside looked nice.

These rolls were awesome! Shin was a great sushi chef! Kite a great server' and we got very full on the all you can eat! Great value!

Good happy hour pricing. This is more of a roll place rather than traditional sushi restaurant.

Unfortunately, it took a very long time for all of us to get our food. Our group of 14 overwhelmed the restaurant. They did add 18% gratuity because of our large group, which is understandable. The bento box entree was impressive. I ordered the sukiyaki, but I wished that I ordered the bento box instead. Other dishes that looked good included the chicken with beans. The meat for the kalbi was tough. The sushi was good. Not spectacular. I would come back in a smaller group the next time. And I'll order for our family, the teriyaki chicken bento, basil green bean with pork, chirashi, and Shanghai beef noodle.

When my kids were growing up, we'd go because their non-sushi food, including Chinese style, is very good, too, so there was something for everyone. My younger son (now 29) and I have been going there since he was a little kid. We have both had sushi and Sashimi in many places. He lives in NY City, I have had sushi in Amsterdam, NY, California, etc. I have never had any BETTER, or fresher fish anywhere. The prices are reasonable, the place is very down-to-earth, but it's about the food and good company, and I have never, never left unsatisfied.

My mom is originally from Japan so she is very picky when it comes to Japanese food. She was so happy with everything we ordered, she wants to come back next time she visits. We ordered the geso (fried squid legs), grilled squid, ahi tataki (seared ahi special), katsu don, shishito peppers, yakitori combo, variety meat combo, udon, and Kalbi. Everything was cooked perfectly and was so tasty! My mom is still raving about the katsu don! I can honestly say this is the best and most authentic Japanese restaurant in Kitsap County. Thank you Oishi Kitchen for being soooo oishi!! We will be back soon!

Definitely worth a try! I ordered the karaage chicken bowl. There was a lot of chicken pieces and a heavy serving of "egg fried rice" underneath. Very filling, and very delicious. The chicken is fried, and it comes with green onion which breaks up the creamy richness from the egg and fried chicken flavors. It was so much food, I had leftovers to take home for lunch the next day. The entrees come with miso soup before the meal arrives at your table, so we were happy with the fried chicken skin appetizer and miso soup starter, then to finish it off with our entrees. Everything tasted good, hot and fresh. The staff were friendly, fast, and attentive. It's located in a shopping strip next to a gas station. It's a great spot for a hearty, quick bite to eat.

I expected more since there were plenty of good reviews, but I think we should've spent some more time searching. For context, we wanted a good sushi dinner - willing to spend a little more on special rolls, etc. I would maybe consider this spot again if you were to just come for some appetizers or regular rolls, but don't come here expecting phenomenal sushi. We got the pork belly lettuce wraps and the sweet coconut shrimp. The lettuce wraps were a highlight/our favorite and honestly I would come back for just these. The coconut shrimp was OK, but not anything to write home about. For sushi, we got the Black Widow and X-File special rolls, the chu-toro sashimi, and one yamagobo maki. The most expensive part, the chu-toro, was not as good as I'd expect it to be for the price point. I've had much better (cheaper) toro so this was the biggest let-down. The special rolls were good, but again, not great. I definitely favored the Black Widow roll, as the soft-shell crab was very yummy. Service was also lacking a bit. It was not busy but our waiter wasn't super attentive. Waters sat empty for a while at one point, and in general it just took a while in between visits.
