Hot fudge holy moly! At 8am sharp, this place is bustling like NYC. I came to get change so I could deposit a certain amount at the neighboring citibank in this plaza, but was enticed by the look of the plump and perfectly colored doughnut holes. The glaze on these doughnuts is immaculate. I also decided to try my luck at a lotto scratcher. I hope this isn't a sign of an addiction forming! Lol. Anyhow, I had my eye on buying a single glazed doughnut hole because I came to get change, and I'm not really the biggest doughnut fan (sad, I know). The woman just before me ordered all that were left, and my heart sunk a bit. I didnt even have time to take a picture of them before they were all gone and bagged. *le sigh When it was my turn to order, I found myself dilly dallying-asking questions to stall as I tried to make up my mind. I could hear a groan from the front of the store and realized there was a long line of people waiting. Whoops, my bad. I ended up going with a classic glazed twist. Their entire stock of them looked like they just came out. As I took my first bite, I thought of a krispie kreme doughnut, but not as heavy feeling. This was the perfect balance of fried dough, sweetness, and lightness I look for (but can never find)! What a find, and on national doughnut day! P.S. A woman outside told me that the doughnut holes sell out very quickly! She said usually around 6am I guess I was lucky to get a glimpse of them -.- #nomsohard

The cinnamon swirl fresh out the oven taste GREAT!.

They told me I couldn't use the 20% off coupon for checking in and they charged me to use my credit card.

Cafe Dulce is in the Japanese Village Plaza in Little Tokyo. They have a pretty wide range of…read morethings on their menu, including baked goods, coffee drinks, matcha drinks and food. I'm from the Bay Area but I've been to Cafe Dulce several times. My wife and I really like their Hong Kong Tea Latte and their Matcha drink, as well as their various donuts and baked goods. In the morning rush they can be a little busy but the staff work hard. On a recent visit I saw people eating their steak breakfast burritos, so I ordered one for myself and a coworker. The burritos were reasonable size, the steak was seasoned well, and the breakfast burrito had potatoes in it (I only like breakfast burritos that have potatoes/hash browns/tots in it). Keep supporting the classics, not just because they've been around for a while, but because they have strong products and service.

I've passed by this place so many times but haven't tried it out until recently! I really do like…read morethe pastries. So much variety here so there's definitely something for everyone. Mochi Twist ($5)-- Nice and dense mochi texture? I guess it's hard to describe but it's not hollow and airy like a typical donut. There's some chew to it. And it's not too sweet! Blueberry Roti ($4)-- Flaky crumble on top and blueberry jam?? YES YESSSS. I liked this so much I'd definitely go back for it. Blueberry jam is so underrated and it's rare to find it in a pastry! Makes for a good sweet lil treat. Hot latte ($5)-- Perfect!! No complaints. Not too milky, not too light. Good ratio. I was actually kind of worried ordering a latte because not every place does it right but it's good here! Iced blueberry matcha ($6?)-- I see lots of good things about this drink on here but ooooooof... it missed the mark and by a LOOOT too. It was green sweet cereal milk. Where's the matcha? Where's the blueberry? It was so confusing because I see the green and I know I ordered matcha... but it's just sweet milk! And it's not even blueberry flavored milk. Did they forget the blueberry jam? Syrup? Whatever they use? Because it just tastes like the milk after a bowl of Frosted Flakes or something like that. Very sad, very disappointing. Ended up tossing after a couple sips. ANDDD for those matcha purists this is NOOOT the place for you! They have it pre mixed in a milk gallon. So we just saw green milk coming out of a gallon into this cup like yeppppp ok expectations immediately lowered. Anyways, hot latte is good and the 2 pastries I got were good! Steer clear of the matcha!!!

It's light and fresh, not like the fake, overly sweet crap you get at most bakeries here in the US. I think I've ordered from them 6 times in the last two weeks, which probably says it all. The strawberry cream donuts especially remind me of the cream donuts back in NZ. So worth it that I genuinely don't give a shit about the calories lol.

Flour Fresh Creme Donut has been around for three years now, so that says a lot about how much people like what they have to offer. I naively went in looking for a traditional ring donut. You won't find anything like that here. They primarily have the Korean-style fresh cream donuts. Again, I was looking for a traditional donut, and the closest thing I saw was the flour twist donut. It was nothing like a glazed twist donut; the only similarity was that it was twisted. It seemed to be baked, not fried. It was very good quality, but I really messed up by not getting a creme-filled donut instead. My friend had a pecan roll and loved it. The quality of the product here is top tier for sure. The prices are premium, but the quality matches the price. They also sell sandwiches as well as coffee and tea drinks. I will certainly go back and try one of the many creme-filled donuts.
