After putting our apartment in the City on the market, my husband and I moved to Yonkers to an apartment double the size of the one in the City. I now had my own office which I also wanted as a guest room. I needed assistance designing the office and finding a queen sofa bed that would fit in the space along with a desk and bookcases. After work one night, I searched on the internet for NYC/Westchester design firms that may be able to assist. I found that most firms wanted $2000 just to create a design for me. I am so glad I discovered Bark. I put my requirements in and found MCollection & Design through Bark. Michelle called me the next day (the MOST pleasant, friendly and responsive person ever!) and she explained that they could help me design the space for $500 and also help in the search for the sofabed, rugs, desks, bookcases etc. I would just purchase the bulk of the items from her firm. This was perfect for me because I have a very demanding job and didn't want to spend hours on my own looking for items and then purchase them and find out that what I bought didn't fit in the space-- thus wasting money. I gave Michelle my budget, my color scheme and sent her some examples of couches and desk styles that I liked. The next day I got emails of sourced items that she thought I would like! Just great response time! I liked many of the items that she found and those which I didn't, Michelle was happy to give me more choices. In addition, MCollection was able to take my floorplan and electronically show me different scenarios for the furniture layouts. The furniture was conveniently sent to my apartment and MCollection also connected me to a handyman who put my desk and bookcases together. He even hung my artwork. (I had had a difficult time finding someone who had a COI which my building requires). Furthermore, during the process, I was also assigned a designer, Shawn (also the most pleasant responsive person), who came to my apartment to check on the progress of the project. They were able to find a queen sized sofa bed that fit beautifully in the space along with the desk and bookcases I wanted. Within approximately 30 days, I had my office set up! I am so glad that Bark led me to MCollection. It saved me hours in searching for a design firm that would fit my needs. I got professionals who helped me design and source my office/guest room just the way I wanted it. The process was very collaborative and fast! I happened to call M Collection as I saw they were an authorized retailer of Gus Modern furniture. I was buying a chair as a second owner and was looking to find out how to best clean the chairs, as I couldn't locate any tags. Michelle was amazing -- even though I wasn't purchasing directly from M Collection, she contacted Gus Modern to sleuth out the make of the fabric and the cleaning methods that would be safe to try, and she kindly kept me updated on status along the way. We recently used M Collection and Home Design to help us with the interior design for the living room in our new South Carolina home. Since we were out of state, we had to handle everything 100% remotely. Our designer Shawn made the process seamless! I was initially skeptical because the designer hadn't visited our home to see the space in person. I went to M Collection in search of new furniture, because I recently moved into a studio, and I could not be happier with my experience!! They have so many incredible options, and the staff were attentive and helpful without being overbearing. I was a little overwhelmed because I'm such an indecisive person, but the staff helped me pick out items that would look great in the space and make sense for my situation. I got the Flipside Sofabed, and I'm OBSESSED. It's so easy to switch from the sofa to the bed (which is perfect because I use it daily), and I love that it includes a washable top sheet since I know my cat's hair will soon be all over it. Not to mention, it's the comfiest sofa I've had yet! Juhi was a dream to work with. She's so sweet and so attentive. We walked in casually browsing the store for dining chairs and Juhi was just so helpful. I told her what I wanted and she listened. Took down my contact information and actually kept in touch. She was able to work with us on the price and next thing I knew, I was already giving her my credit card number over the phone. She told us she can hold the items in the warehouse for us until we are ready to move. She also took the time to answer our questions over email about the height of the chairs and how it would look against a marble dining table at 30 inches. I have had some hiccups over my experience with M Collection, as it ended up taking a few months to get everything sorted out. However, in the face of a tough situation, Paul, the manager, did everything in his power to solve the issue, and did so in a very pleasant manner (which is not always the case when there are issues.) I understand that people make mistakes, and thus I appreciate M Collection owning up to those they made, and fixing every last issue that I had. I love the couch I purchased and after all is said and done would consider returning to M Collection with the knowledge that if anything goes wrong, Paul is always there to come in and save the day. read more
