I was here for the Championship trophy siting and grabbed some gear. It is in the mix of downtown and parking can be scarce. I did manage to find a spot. I did notice that the store had been expanded. It had 2 floors with a variety of merchandise. The space made this occasion great because the line was all inside for seeing and taking a picture with the trophy. It wrapped through the store and not outside. There is gear all around. Stopped by to pick up some baby clothes to send overseas... spent about 30 mini shopping for what I needed. Maybe it's the perception but I feel like this place has more items than the store at the mall. Staff were friendly, easy to find what you need, all your U of M apparels under one roof. Street parking or the structure. They do have some products that are cheap, but depending on what you get, expect to spend some money. read more

Hard to beat if needing gear, from specific dept and sport appellations to panoramic shots of various games (like the epic OSU defeat!), the place is the place to go for all that is UM branded. Quality is better than some of the less well constructed stuff, and expect the clothing to last one long time. But why take the chance - just get more stuff for the onward generations of UM alums and fans in your family! I ordered things on January 12 knowing my stuff wouldn't ship until January 26.I called on the 26th to confirm and a woman told me the rest of my order was in. Two days later I get an email saying that they couldn't meet the deadline after I was told my stuff was there. They tried saying 7-10 days more to wait for another shipment but couldn't guarantee. I ordered something from a competitor and got my stuff in 2 days!! Don't know who dropped the ball but I'm not very happy!!!! Not sure if I will buy from them again. Came here on move in day and it was packed! In spite of hundreds in the store the line moved quickly and employees took time for our questions. The best M-Den with the best selection. One example, we bought a bean-bag chair for our son and the employee carried this heavy box down the street to the parking garage to our car and loaded it for us; he was polite, helpful, cheerful the entire time. Just a disclaimer up front - I don't care about the University of Michigan, or their football team, or any other college's football team, either. I am, in a word, unaffiliated, as far as college sports go. That said, nothing succeeds like excess, and here's your proof. So many different types of things branded with the UM logo. Hyper-consumerism, focused like a laser on those folks who must have a UM deck of playing cards, UM golf balls, UM shoes, UM shirts, UM mobile phone covers, etc. I can appreciate this sort of targeted marketing. And this sort of capitalistic effort. And, I can also appreciate this sort of genuine fanaticism, even if I don't participate in it. So, I was agog at all the choices for the UM fan in this store. Your one-stop-shop for all things Michigan! Though I often mourn the demise of Steve and Barry's, the M-Den moved in to this spot on Main St. in Ann Arbor and is making killing! This store literally has everything to meet your Michigan needs including clothing, accessories, housewares and furniture (yes, Michigan lounge chairs). The prices are reasonable and there is even a "discount section" upstairs where all shirts are under $10. I bought my "Allez les bleues" t-shirt here, which is awesome (they have Spanish, Korean, Hebrew, French, etc.). Stop in if you haven't yet - what are you waiting for? read more

This is a great store and I think the Main Street location is the best one to go to. It is always clean, the employees are friendly, and they have a great selection of clothing. There are lots of other little shops around town but I think that the M-Den has the best selection of clothing and gifts. It is a must stop for any UM fan and it is in a convenient location. Lots of good stores and restaurants in this area and I recommend it to all out-of-towners, alumni, and fans. read more

ordered online before Christmas was told the order wouldn't be here till after Christmas. fine but I to find out we're my order was it got lost in transit. so I call the store and the manager excuses himself from responsibility by putting blame on the warehouse. The warehouse blames UPS, UPS says only the MDen can do an investigation into where my package is and Mden says again it'sa warehouse inside too bad. I recently visited the M Den in Downtown Ann Arbor. I was simple blown away. The variety of merchandise is second to none. Anyone looking for anything Maize and Blue this is the spot. The only thing more outstanding than the choice in merchandise was the staff. They were just fabulous. Literally all questions were answered. Wow!!! This store is huge and has a massive selection, there's almost too much crammed in here!!! Lots to see and the store has 2 floors, you could seriously get lost in here. The folks here were kind and helpful and bless their hearts, they decided to donate a print of Michigan Stadium to a local charity organization.
