I have always loved M.Fredric, the hip casual clothing, the colorful inviting layout of the store - but Lisa at their Studio City CA location has boosted my rave review tenfold. Talk about going the extra mile. We used to live near an M.Fredric years ago, had moved out of state, and I'd kept a few local gift cards and store scrip from CA with me. Now back in Los Angeles, we drove 27 miles to meet up with friends for my husband's birthday dinner, which I remembered was near one of my favorite M.Fredric's. So I brought that envelope with me although I knew it was a long shot any return receipt would be honored. Lisa, already beyond helpful and friendly as a salesperson, pieced through the crumpled receipts and coupons from, wait for it, as far back as 2013, and found a salvageable receipt for $50. Sadly, she conveyed, the return receipt for $180 (my husband had bought me a beautiful jacket that was the wrong size) was just too ancient. I thanked her and confessed that, tried and true for most shoppers, had a mission to buy a mother of the groom dress so of course was enjoying shopping in a store that did not have formal wear. Again helpful, Lisa gave it some thought and recommended a formal wear store. She asked me if I wanted her to throw out the old receipts that were no good and I said sure, but before she did, she said she'd make some calls to M.Fredric's admin and see what might happen. Well, Lisa miraculously got them to honor the $180 receipt. And now my rehearsal dinner outfit will be by virtue of Lisa and M.Fredric. Every retail store, let alone the world, should have people as generous, helpful, thorough, competent, and gracious as Lisa in it. read more

Thought I would have a great experience at this store but when I went to try on clothing I was not allowed to use their dressing rooms because the clothing I had was on sale! They stated if I wanted to try on the FULL priced Items I can, but I'm not allowed to try on sale items and it would be final sale. So just because I don't spend a pretty penny on a T-shirt in there store I'm not welcomed to use the fitting rooms like everyone else. That immediately made me put down my full priced items and not want to spend a dime in that store. I've never been to a store with that policy. read more

Super disappointed with one of my favorite stores. Maybe I haven't been there in a while, but they had a whole parking lot of clothes on sale racks, and a sign in the window that reads "All Sale Items, buy 2 get one free". What a great deal! WRONG. It only applies to the 2 tiny racks just inside the door. Spent a lot of time selecting 9 sale items I was going to get on the buy 2 get one free deal, only to find out it didn't apply to anything I had picked out. The sales associate was polite but not remotely apologetic for how FREAKIN misleading that is. She was more than happy to help me find 3 things on the "real" deal rack though , but I literally couldn't find even 3 things in total for myself or as gifts. False advertising. M.Fredric - Women's Clothing Near Me - Studio City, California

M. Fredric is one of those places I wish I didn't like shopping at, but I do. It's *way* too expensive for my pocketbook, but when I find myself needing some "California Cool" (in the words of my designer friend from NYC), this is the spot. $200 premium denim: check. $110 metal studded tank tops: check. $85 Ed Hardy Sweat Shorts: check. I'll admit that it's all a bit ridiculous, but it's actually the coupons that keep me coming back. Whoever thought up M. Fredric's marketing plan is a genius. (Note to self: When taking over world, hire said genius.) Whenever you make a purchase, they give you a coupon for 10% of that day's sales total, which can be redeemed the following month. So, for instance, when you buy an insanely expensive pair of True Religion jeans, you end up with a $25 store credit. (Of course, there isn't actually anything in the store that costs $25, so you'll always end up shelling out a new wad for another obnoxiously priced something or other.) The *true* genius though is that they call you the following month to remind you to use your coupon. I'm a total sucker for this kind of "customer service" and, thus, keep going back. I've tried for years to make it a point to stop buying cheapo clothing from the mall and actually make high quality purchases even though spending the money is like being kicked in the crotch. I was introduced to M. Fredric in Studio City by a friend and literally fell in love. Not only did they help me in choosing items ( I normally hate this and want the sales employees to get away from me ), but their choices were exactly what I was looking for. The manager, Angela, is AMAZING and so helpful. I've gone back several times and am always so happy when I leave. I don't feel like I'm throwing money down the toilet - I feel like I'm actually transforming my closet, little by little. They also give you a coupon (gift card) for 10% of your purchase that can be used the next month. It's free money and it keeps me coming back! read more

Whadda surprise! Yup! All the women have written reviews on M Fredrics everywhere, but not 1 single guy has reviewed 1 for men? Hmmm.... This could possible mean 2 things. 1. Guys on Yelp.com do not shop at M Fredric 2. Guys on Yelp.com do not have fashion sense I hope your reasoning isn't one of financial excuses, because instead of lurking the pages of this website, you should be out makin that cheesecake to buy nice rags. Well I love this place & I hate it at the same time. First my loves are the wide array of the latest in fashion. They carry one of my fave shirt designers, 7 Diamonds, along with numerous other shirt designers that are right up alley. And some of their stuff isn't overboard expensive. I've seen some nice shirts for $75. And I mean nice shirts that will get you noticed. I mean, fellas we want to stand out in this world where the fish are plenty and the waters are crowded. They also sell some awesome jeans for men here. If you aren't wearing some nice jeans in this town, you are not going to be noticed ma man. What you look like defines you in many ways, and I'm not trying to be shallow. But what you wear represents you, and wearing Calvin Klein & Guess jeans no longer cuts it anywhere outside the Midwest perhaps (what do I know). Yes I know some jeans are ridiculously expensive and no I do not expect anyone to pay over $250 for a pair, but there are many jeans under $150 that are sweet. The nice part of shopping here is you will get 10% back on your next purchase for every dollar you spend. For example I spend $300 this time, I can come back next month and receive $30 of my next purchase. I think that's incentive enough to look sharp and up to date throughout the year. SO all in all, this is a must visit for any guy who wants to look his best. Yes some things here are ridiculously overpriced ($180 Ed Hardy Tshirts?!?! Ewww!). On the back of the men's section you'll find the kids section. It's easily accessed through the rear lot. They have quite a selection of nice and not your regular kind children's clothing. They carry my personal favorite (for my son to wear that is), Kingsley. Their items do have a wide range from the inexpensive to expensive. They have very nice salespeople. read more

Cute kid clothes - but expensive and staff is too hovering. They have a nice selection or edgy and stylish clothes. But expect most things to be $50-100 each for tiny clothes. You will walk away with lovely things, but your bank account will feel it! The staff's attitude is so, so. They seem pleasant, but there is a real disconnect, and they don't leave you alone to browse. The last time we were in there, they were sort of following us around making unsolicited comments on the clothes we were considering. It was very uncomfortable. read more

I stopped in here after driving by repeatedly and picked up a few crowd pleasers. Got a really unique jacket that looks super pricey but wasn't. People to this day are still asking me where I got it. These people are really great. I met a nice SA named Madeline, and she was enthusiastic and helpful with my purchase. The store itself has a nice selection of bohemian like clothing, and ranges from affordable to somewhat expensive (depending on the material and the style of what you picked up).
