My local Urban Outfitters in the city of Studio City near the intersection of Laurel Canyon & Ventura Boulevard. It's a fun wide layout from front to back with entrances from the back parking lot as well as from Ventura. Stocked with clothes, accessories and a unique assortment of products that might surprise you... I mean I got my favorite karaoke microphone here as well as some plant pots of all things.... even some bedding. I typically stop in to browse items and clothing as I wear larger sizes than some they carry in store, however their website usually has additional in the XL XXL and plus sizes for all genders. Good customer service and friendly security. They do get busy in here, but even then they keep the line moving. You can find street parking in front (metered) or in the share spacious back parking lot next to the CVS on the south side of Ventura Blvd. read more

This location is pretty stocked and they have a pretty big sale section that is constantly being filled. Service is OK. It's retail so you're not going to find a young adult here that is thrilled to help you find whatever it is that you're looking for. I have been shopping at this Urban Outfitters on and off during the years. Sometimes I like the style of their clothes, sometimes it's not for me. The store is big and sometimes they have pretty good sales. Decent fitting rooms and parking behind. Great location, close to me and near other stores and restaurants, great walking area. This place is an option for me, prices are a tad on the higher side and I don't always gel with the style. But it's worth checking it out! read more

The manager is the most rude person I've had to deal with in my life. They don't pick up the phone. I drove a half hour here to exchange something and their electricity was out and I said all I want is an exchange they sell the same item I wanted a different color. She refused to do it for me refused to help me in any shape or form and basically threw me out of the store. read more

I brought an online order to this store to return it and the process was easy. Parking in the back was a bit of a pain (very busy) but once I snagged a spot I walked in with my item to return and I was helped right away. The cashier was able to locate my receipt for the onliine order using my email address which was super helpful. Once my return was completed (only took a few minutes) I wandered around the store for a bit. This is a big store and they have a good selection. I didn't buy anything but I will probably come back. They have really cute home decor items and I'm happy to know they can process online returns as well. read more

Have only been to a few UOs but this is the best. But that's what happens when you are located on one of the 'trendiest' streets in LA. Basically losing a star because I think the clothes are over-priced. They are cute, but not that much better than competitors that are significantly cheaper. I went on a Sunday afternoon so it was a bit crowded but most people browsing seem to know exactly what they want and don't want so they move out of your way fairly quickly. The employees were helpful and very patient with me. They asked me my name and checked in on me and asked if I needed anything. It was nice. I ended up making a few trips the dressing rooms. I got lucky because on of the times I left my dressing room there was a line of people waiting but all the times I needed a room I got right in! But I'm also assuming people are just quick in the dressing rooms too since they know what they like and don't like. I had a gift certificate for $100 from my bday and for anyone planning on giving a gift card for a bday, if you choose this place I wouldn't go below 50, and even with that your friend will still end up paying at least 10 more bucks for a top, provided it is not on sale. Speaking of which, there was a nice sale section and I was very happy with the top I found marked from $29.99 to $19.99. So then I was able to feel better about the $60 lacy tank top I really liked! A surplus store indeed! For all fans of Urban Outfitters, you will enjoy the quantities and styles of fashion that this store holds. However, unlike outlet stores which I mistakenly took this for, there is no price difference. I see a sweater here, marked $39.99, that I purchased for $9 at another location. Don't hold this to be true about all items though! The building itself has a warehouse feel without the burden of purchase that other locations have. You can even enjoy some arcade games and a ping pong table for your less patient family members. (we won't point fingers...) P.S. Fitting rooms are plentiful! read more

Sweet Deals!!! This UO location has GREAT sales. 3 weeks ago I bought a beautiful hat that was orginally $38 but on sale for $10. When I got to the register the cashier said," it was then an additional %50 off because of a special sale @ this location!!!" $5 dollar hat?! Score on this 1920's 'Changeling' style hat. A classic. So the cashier suggested I look around and I did and came across a pair of gorgeous Frye chocolate leather boots. No idea UO carrried top quality boots like Frye. These boots retailed $398 marked down @ $230 then marked at $100. I walked out of the store yelling like the IKEA lady "Start the car! Start the car..." The boots were $49.99!!! I love these boots so much and already wore them for a couple of weeks on my Aunt's horse ranch. I will have them for a lifetime. Today, again window shopping I found this great hand cremes love & toast by Margot Elena on sale.(gin blossom & paper flower) Orginally, $10 they were only $1.99. Also, prickly pear and cherry lemonade lip balm only $1.99 orgianlly $9. Lavendar perfume roll on's $1.99 too* UO markdowns are great. So, I bought a ton for B-day gifts. There always plenty of sales people @ this location who are exceptionally friendly. This store is always organized including the clearance areas. What I like best is the dressing room area which is spacious and comfortable. Kudos to the store manager and staff @ this store! The Studio City location is now my fav shopping location. read more

Very horrible and rude staff. The security guard assumed that my boyfriend and I were stealing. He tried on a flannel and wanted to find a mirror to see how it looked. Keep in mind there were no workers around to help so he had to find one on his own and the security guard started following us all around the store along with 3 other employees. They even asked other people if they needed help and completely ignored us even though it was obvious we needed help. They made us feel uncomfortable and unwanted. This whole experience made our experience at Urban Outfitters very unpleasant to the point where we just left. read more

They had these great basic T-shirts for years, then they fired the vendor and I guess tried to make the shirts themselves. The new fabric is too thick, the silhouette is wrong. They were a open, almost swooping crewneck before, but now the fit is just terrible; the T-shirts are hot and uncomfortable as the New Jersey is almost like a crappy concert T. They are selling these shirts as the same product which they are not. When I went to get a refund they refused. I will not be shopping there anymore. read more

I Like the location of the store but not the personnel working. I came in to shop for myself and was not treated or ask for help as I searched for a specific shirt that I love. Their sale section is a good size however it is messy and very disorganized. The most disappointing part was the cashier who was way to busy in conversation with her coworker to notice me at the line. Neither one of them really moved or said anything until I said I was ready. She then rings me up without saying a word or if I successfully found what I was looking for(Which I did). She then started conversing with the customer behind me!! Gave me my receipt and I left disgruntled and annoyed. I get home and find she CHARGED ME FOR THE WRONG ITEMS!! She charged me for a pair of socks I didn't even buy!! Ummmmmm not okay! I absolutely love Urban! Definitely one of my favorite stores by far. And love this studio city location! Free parking in the back is great and such a plus. Whenever another store seems to be out of what I'm looking for I always find it here. And the team is great and always helpful, the manager, cashiers, and floor staff are amazing and they can always help you out. As mentioned by another yelper previously, I like the location of the store by not the personnel. I came in with my daughter to the Studio City UO store to exchange a pant that was given to her as a gift. It was loose on her, so she looked around and picked another pant that cost the same $59.00 along with a couple tops. At the register, we were told the pant we were exchanging was $39. My daughter said to the cashier the same pant was on the UO website at $69. The cashier then told us that this was the store price and since we did not have the receipt we would only receive the current store price. Fair enough! We went ahead and paid the difference of $20 and bought the other top as well. When heading out, I noticed a rack with the same pants we just exchanged listed as $59. So I asked a sales rep if the pants were on sale; to which he responded "No, it's the price marked on the label". So I went ahead and took the pant to the register and asked Diego (another sales person) to check the price for the me. I mentioned to him, that I just got refunded $39 for the same pant that is being sold currently at $59. To which Diego responded $39 must the price it rings up as. Confused, I asked him to recheck. The same cashier who had completed my transaction earlier was also the the register and said "the pants you are exchanging have a different skew number". I was surprised as it was identical to the pant on the rack. Realizing something was amiss, I asked to speak with the store manager. Either the cashier was lying blatantly or just simply inept. The store manager said she would credit me for the current store price and asked the cashier who had helped me initially to complete the transaction. The cashier went ahead with the transaction but did not even have the courtesy of apologizing. WILL NOT BE SHOPPING AT THAT STORE AGAIN! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! MMMMM, Urban. One of my best friends works here, so naturally i'm here all of the time. I usually pick out what i want and she gets it for me for 40% off heheh :] Anyway, if you can stand all of the snotty rich people who shop here and think they're the shit, then it's awesome. I absolutely love urban, but i hate all of the chicks who think that they're "different" when they're SHOPPING AT URBAN! hahah, c'mon, really? I have no problem buying cute clothes here at all, because they always have something cute. Practically my whole wardrobe is Urban. But i i am never surprised when i go out and see someone else with the same shirt. It just makes me laugh cuz i bet they were so disappointed that they weren't the only person in the world who owns it hahaha, booo hooo!! Anyway, this Urban isn't the biggest, but it's the most organized, and they manage to fit alotttttttttt of stuff into that store. It's your typical Urban Outfitters, but I feel like this specific locations attracts the most weird people of them all. Especially since it's Studio City, and just over the hill from Hollywood. This specific location seems to only carry the stuff that someone who is a size "00" would wear, and nothing bigger than a size small. Staff is rude and unhelpful. I just about wet my pantalones a month or two ago when I saw the COMING SOON URBAN OUTFITTERS sign covering what used to be the Pier One Imports, but today, I drove by and there it was, shinning like a scenester star in the night. All the same cool stuff you'd find at any other Urban, but not super crowded(always nice) and there is a big lot behind it for parking. This brand-new Urban is lovely! Everything is fresh and new and the staff is super friendly. I came here looking for some living room decor and came away with a picture for under $20 on sale and a window panel for under $10. Not bad! I usually wait for the sales and was happily surprised they had a few items with the bright orange (means sale!) stickers. Not as much as the Urban on San Fernando, though. This is a great location. Parking out behind the store is great (unless is the Holiday season). Believe it or not, I usually come here for the accessories, not the clothes. I love my Stila Lip Gloss I got here. They had it in packages of 10 colors, for $24. Totally awesome. They have great headbands, scarves, jewelery - I even got an awesome pair of Wesc purple and gold headphones here, on sale for $30. How cool is that?! And yes, I use them every day at work - and sometimes at the gym, when I really want to block everyone out, LOL. They have an amazing sale section here too. I always find a great deal on something. I needed to do an exchange on a hat that was no longer in stock at this store location and the cashier named Lily went above and beyond by offering to call other store locations to check their stock and had them hold the item for me (without me asking). Lily was very attentive, supportive, and extremely helpful and friendly. Definitely happy to meet people who enjoy doing their job. Pay her more or do whatever to keep more employees like her around. This is by far my favorite Urban Outfitters store. It has a home section and the quantity of inventory seems more than other stores I've visited. They have a huge section of denim! My only setback is the prices so I find myself in the sales rack rather than purchasing regular priced items. It's so hard to find a deal as my size is usually sold out by the time I get there. The quality and style of the clothing, shoes, and jewelry are appealing to me. I never get out of this store either putting things on my wish list or buying something. I also like how Free People is two stores down and across the street are banana republic and gap. As far as restaurants go there's umami burger, mexicali, and the counter across the street too. You can make it a half day of shopping and eating! read more

Urban Outfitters is my choice of casual/non work apparel. I love their colors their selections, their sizes, their individuality. I hope they don't lose that. This location in particular is very accessible with parking. It is one story so you don't get COMPLETELY lost like the one in Pasadena. They had my size in everything I wanted and that is a PLUS. Most organized Urban location by far. Staff is not stuck up as they can be at other locations *ahem* Santa Monica. Staff is nice, not necessarily overly helpful, but definitely not brooding (thank god) and it's a nice sized location with some pretty good deals early on a weekday. read more
