If you've never been here before, Lolo is a shop in the Olmos Park area that specializes in high-quality products from Mexico. They work with artisans and make sure they get paid accordingly for their work to ensure a fair trade. Overall, I think is wonderful that they want to make sure that their art and work is being recognized outside of Mexico, and that they can depend on this partnership to succeed and have financial security. The store has everything you can imagine from clothing, to home decor, and other stuff. They have a nice variety of artists from all over the country and the prices are reasonable for the quality of work. Please note that these are high quality products and not the cheap stuff you find at other store during Fiesta. All of their products are unique pieces and it will reflect in the prices. Two piece sets and gorgeous flowy skirts for vacation trips at very reasonable prices. I found a cute black dress with ladies in sunglasses stitched to it. They had leather purses like Coach, Patricia Nash, BCBG and rhinestone purses too. I was obsessed with their lounge wear rack. Loungewear as in pajamas and robes, not work out clothes. They had vintage silk sets and robes on one rack. I can't wait to go back and get some. They also had antique nick nacks like porcelain ballerinas, silver candle stick holders, retro glass drink sets with gold detailing, cute pieces of jewelry and sunglasses. I was fine but I felt so bad for the ladies that worked there. Speaking of which the people that work there are so friendly and helpful. They were getting in some of their fall clothes in so their summer stuff was on the outs but I'll definitely be going back there for their fall collection. And if it doesn't fit, he has a sewing room in the back(where all the magic happens) where he can hem items for you. Today, I purchased a beautiful yellow blazer ("you're definitely a warm tone", says Anthony) and a white semi-cropped white knit top ("you love neutrals", he also says). He knows me! I was hesitant to purchase the cropped top due to my insecurities about my body. But Mr. Couleur Blinde' assured me that it's all in my head. So I'm stepping out in it without trying anything on. Today is his grand opening at his new location on Broadway next to Paloma Blanca. He's open until 9pm tonight so go check it out! The prices are reasonable and he has a couple of 50% off racks. You'll definitely find something you like even if it's the wine and chocolate-covered cranberries. And you won't be disappointed!

The store was super quiet and both staff members (including a young girl that brushed by me and a man cuddling with a tiny, rat-like dog) didn't say hello to us. The dog proceeded to run over to me for some affection (no wonder considering how emotionally chilly that place was!).
