Great staff. Very quick to offer assistance and suggestions. Might be misunderstood as being a bit pushy, but I thought they were actually genuinely interested in helping. A HUGE variety of offerings in scrubs, scrub caps, shoes and all things medical uniform; even the little buttons and pins by the register. The one thing I thought was lacking in their stock was the white coat selection. But they can order items you pick out from their catalog. Same is true if you want a different color or hard to find size. A little pricey but not extravagantly so. And a lot more affordable if you use the 30% discount to UT Health team members. Only better prices I've seen are if you buy the Grays Anatomy scrubs from Costco online (started July 2024). We ended up buying 3-4 pairs of scrubs (in different colors) and a white coat. Most items were in stock but we had to order 2 scrub tops and wait for free delivery. Items came in 1 week later and were as expected. A positive experience overall. Update: 3 years later this place still has best selection of scrubs with super friendly staff! You're still able to order petite/tall with delivery within 1-2 weeks. This place is awesome! Friendly staff, tons of scrubs (even plus and petite sizes) in stock and accessories. They have the Methodist Navy and Baptist Galaxy in stock in plenty of options! Fitting rooms available to try on scrubs. If they don't have your size you can order them with text message reminders. Orders usually back in 1-2 weeks. Please do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else to buy scrubs. Sunshine makes returning simple items/orders a nightmare! I had an order I was attempting to return and Sunshine fought me every step of the way, even though I had never even physically touched the order. Sunshine even attempted to lie and say it was a "speciality order" even though it wasn't, in an attempt to avoid having to accept the return. Diana also gave me the run around and attempted to make excuses as to why the return couldn't be honored. When I would call the store, they would tell me they would need to call me back because "other customers were in the store". I finally just went in person so they couldn't avoid me anymore. I will not be returning to this store and I highly suggest you go elsewhere. As a healthcare provider, you deserve a company who values their customers and at the very least, upholds standard polices. read more

The staff is nice and the place is kept well, unfortunately the selection is relatively small and most of the items even before embroidery are on the pricey end of the spectrum as compared to the other stores I've shopped at. (They only offer one style under 20$/piece) Also be careful before purchasing as they don't offer refunds at all even on NWT unembroidered items that I purchased off their rack with a receipt (they do offer store credit on these items though) If your looking for custom hospital logo scrubs for your job most hospitals only offer them through here. but if you just need plain scrub bottoms or tops I would look for a larger medical supply type place with more discounted selections. read more

ZERO STARS ----- SHOP ELSEWHERE I went in a few weeks ago and got help ordering new uniforms for a new job. The staff assist me in selecting and trying on uniforms for fit. When we were finished, they filled out the order form for me to sign. Yesterday when I got my order in, I took them home and tried them all on. one of the pants did not fit. I returned today to exchange the pants for the correct size, they said they could not. They had not been altered in any way. I showed them that I had not washed them or removed any tags and that they could literally hang them on a rack and sell them and just hand me the correct size. She said they would not. She said I signed the order form approving all quantities and sizes. I reminder her she helped me and filled it out. She said she would not refund or exchange anything. I had just selected an additional uniform to purchase and placed it back on the rack and thanked her, but told her I would no longer do business with her. With policies like this, I would suggest you do business at a different company that is more understanding and helpful. read more

They seem so frustrated with you when you keep on trying different scubs. I got that feeling from this store I just left and brought my $350 purchase at Scrubs and Beyond. And guess what? I ordered a lab coat from this store and was told it would be ready in 2 weeks. It has now been over 3 weeks and I cannot even get them to tell me if they have it or not. I've called twice and the person that answers just says they will call me back and then they don't. If you need something on a deadline don't go here! I took a scrub top to be embroidered here, and they told me they have a pretty quick turnaround time. But it took the full 10 business days, and parts of the embroidery look frayed. When I called to check at the week mark they seem annoyed that I was calling to ask about my order. Also, it was about $11, which is a little pricey for just one top, I called another scrub place and they only charge $6.50. Overall, I wouldn't come here if you're needing something quick and at a decent price. read more

Well after almost 8 years of coming to Sunshine I figured it was time to finally write a review and give them the credit they deserve! I have worked for UTHSCSA for almost 8 years and when I first started with UTHSCSA they only used Sunshine for our scrubs though the employees that worked in clinic did not have a choice of the color scrubs or logo that embroidered onto our scrub we did have a choice or string pants or elastic pants haha. But no in all seriousness Sunshine has been amazing especially the manager Nicky. She has always been upfront and honest about pricing and arrival of any products I have had ordered either for myself through work or for my doctors. Sunshine has done embroidery on white coats for our doctors and on scrubs I used to wear for work and they have always arrived as excepted and looked great with no peeling, threading coming out, etc. I recently had a jacket bought through work that needed to have embroidery with our UT logo, name and department. I took my jacket in on a afternoon and I will say they do get a little busy they have plenty of employees there to assist everyone. Nicky quoted me that my jacket would take 10 days and sure enough 10 days later it was ready. I'm so glad that UT uses a company that sticks to their word about your product and has some of the best customer service in town. And for those who buy scrubs for work or any other reason they do sell Grey's Anatomy line as I have heard lots of customers asking for those scrubs. I like their selection and had shopped previous before but not sure I'll return after this last purchase. I ordered a pair of scrub pants in nov and I am still waiting for them to arrive. I've called the last 3 weeks and I get told " oh we are still unloading the shipment truck. We will text you at the end of the week." How many weeks does it take to unload a truck? I've been coming here since I started nursing school in 2013, and I've now been a nurse for 4 years. I've tried a few other places for location purposes, but I always come back to Sunshine - they're worth the drive! They're not the largest uniform shop but they can order things for you. They offer student discounts, military discounts, and discounts with your work badge (I work at University and always bring my badge for the discount). They never pressure you to buy anything and will let you try on as many scrubs and shoes until you find the right fit - and again, they STILL don't pressure you to buy them! This past visit, Nicky helped me try shoe after shoe after shoe until I found the perfect fit, and she insisted that if I didn't feel 100% comfortable with the purchase I shouldn't buy them. Let me begin by saying if I could leave no stars I would. I have had the misfortune of having to come here for my uniforms for years and every single time I have had issues. Rather than give details of my experiences I will give some advice for those that need to come here for their uniforms. First, do not pay for the express embroidery it will take just as long as the regular wait and when when you call for updates on your order the first question you will be asked was "did we text you your order was ready" ( a mantra they seem to live by). Second, expect to pay double for embroidery if your uniform requires something on each side of your scrubs than if those same two logos were on the same side. Third, if your scrubs are on back order do not expect to be told about it. When you have waited longer than the 2 week window they give you, and you call to see if your order is ready, again do not expect them to tell you they are on back order. Instead expect them to tell you they will text you once they're ready with no expected date other than "sometime by the end of the month". Fourth if they make a mistake on their end do not expect them to eat the cost they will hold your scrubs and not give them to you until you pay for their error. Finally, if after all this you have given up and want to go somewhere else for your scrubs, do not expect to get your money back since due to COVID they are not accepting exchanges or returns ON AN ORDER YOU HAVEN'T RECEIVED YET. This place has the absolute worst customer service I have experienced anywhere and I would highly encourage anyone to go another place to get their scrubs. read more

I bought a uniform bottom that they had to order, the lady told me I could exchange it if I didn't like it. Went in to pick it up and asked to exchange it to a different color because I changed jobs. Mind you it's brand new unopened bag. The lady was not there and the guy refused to do it because it wasn't a color that sold easy and they would have to pay a restocking fee to return it. I order all of my work scrubs from here. I have been shopping here for almost 2 years and always have a great experience! The employees are always helpful and around when you need assistance. They are very hands on with helping you find what you need as soon as you walk in the door. They always know what to do, what they have in stock and where to get it and if they aren't sure, they know how to find out. Every time I have had to order something it always comes in earlier then expected. It's nice to be able to shop somewhere that is easy and enjoyable. My only complaint would be their hours for night shift workers. It's so hard to get in there to order stuff sometimes before/after a shift. If they were open until 7pm that would be ideal for night shift! I need to update my review after they moving to their new location. I've visited a couple of times, and they have definitely upgraded. They store is much bigger now with more dressing rooms, and they carry pretty much all of the major brands including Grey's Anatomy, Urbane, Med Couture, Cherokee, Jockey, Landau, etc. Their Grey's and Cherokee selection is especially large. You'll most likely find something in your size to try on, and as I've mentioned before, if they don't have it in the right color/size combo, you can order it, even if it's a style they don't carry in the store. I like how organized the store is as well, making for easy shopping. Don't forget the 30% UTHSCSA discount! I never hesitated to buy my scrubs here because I knew I could get what I wanted at the best price.
