Wayyy better than most trending thrift stores like buffalo or 2nd street. Don't knock 'em till you've stepped foot inside and it's quite small but for the treasures you may find most def worth it. Holla at yo boy.

Daily deals and they offer local teacher's (teehee) discounts. You are not poor? You wish to donate? "No problem they take donations almost everyday." Just call them, as it's truly, a blessing to see them sell goods for cheap. Out of nowhere a true ma' n pa' operation. I have found goods from gardening to tire chains. They are really random and again this is no chain no fake deals just straight up GOOD OLD FASHION "Osito" deals. That is a slang term that I have used to say dirt poor. Staff is ultra nice even with those that appear lost and confused. Do not get me wrong it is a small venue so be kind. As they have offered the community a new beginning of sharing the wealth. If yet you are dying to get ready for the any special occasion. Please call before you are arrive as this establishment is a grassroots operation. I only wish them to see them thrive as they have always never have let me down. Really kind souls and please give the cashiers my very best. If you need more room in your home or you would like to share the wealth please donate to this wonderful Indie Thrift. I have seen all the local highschool kids even from NewPort Beach grabbing their goods and taking off on fancy cars. No one cares except to find a good deal or give away your trash and give it to those in needs. Ask for Gabby as she and her son and the two younger woman are all gracious. I am proud to call CALLE CUATRO (Fourth Street) my Vanilla Sky (DTSA) especially this new hole ma' n pa'. ps. I have seen many of my students buy good toys for almost nothing. I wish them the best of luck and if you are a hoarder. Teehee You wish to clean up your act? They will help you and perhaps pickup your junk. p.s.s. Everyday they have sales. OMG! SO RAD! Finally Indie Thrift Store. Okay I think you can tell I love them. pss Teachers get a discount especially for SAUSD. Just be Nice!

The jewelry is limited but carefully selected, as well as home and kitchen decor, vinyl recs, and stationary on the left of the store. They have a nice selection of kids and baby clothes in the back. The clothing racks were organized and color coordinated which I really appreciate as thrift shopping could be overwhelming at times. I adored Sundance Thrift shop, and the service was very welcoming!

Cameron was the only staff member from what i could tell & the entire time she was organizing & putting items back. as another reviewer mentioned there is a decent amount of target brand but if you take the time to look you can find a gem for sure! they have a small room w kids items (clothes, toys, games, shoes) & it was nice to know where my daughter was while i shopped. they also have fitting rooms!! major bonus. apologies to Cameron as my daughter & myself left the store at 5:59 but she still gave me a Loyalty Card after i inquired. lovely little thrift store, i will be back!

At first, I thought it was a really cool store. They have a nice selection of electronics, manga, designer purses, shoes, and some cute Loungefly backpacks. However, I was disappointed with the women's clothing section. Most of the clothing seemed geared toward older women, and there wasn't much for younger adults or teens. I did notice they had some anime shirts, Sanrio items, and vintage pieces, which made me think they would be interested in buying some of my clothes. Today, I brought in a large bin and bag full of vintage clothing, anime shirts, and Sanrio items that I'd been holding onto because other resale stores wouldn't take them. After they sign me in the system, I barely had time to look around for 10 minutes before my number was called. Seeing how quickly they went through my items, I already had low expectations. I was surprised because I saw the exact same Kuromi shirt that I own on their racks, along with other styles very similar to the items I brought in. In the end, they only offered me $1.50 for one shirt that I already had listed on Depop for $5 because it had a small stain. They didn't take any of my anime shirts, Sanrio items, or vintage pieces, even though they carried similar items in the store. For reference, I'm posting a picture of the exact shirt they decided to take--the only item they bought from everything I brought in. I drove 30 minutes just to be offered $1.50, which was incredibly disappointing. It honestly feels like they aren't very clear about what they're looking to buy, and I'm not sure they thoroughly went through everything I brought in. The employees and security guard were all very nice and friendly, so I appreciate that. My main issue is with the buying process and the lack of clarity on what clothing they actually accept. I think it would help if they explained their buying guidelines better on their website or social media. Overall, Eco Town is fun to browse, but my selling experience was very disappointing, and I wish I had listened to the previous reviews before making the drive.

Since then, I never gave Plato's Closet another chance. Today, I happened to be down the road from another resale store and thought, "Why not? Let's see if they'll take anything this time." When I walked in, a very nice employee asked me to place my items on the counter. She checked if I had sold there before, and even though it had been years, I was still in their system. I even joked and told her, "You guys probably won't be able to take anything, but that's okay. I've been trying to sell this bag of clothes for a while, and other resale stores haven't taken any of it." She told me there were three people ahead of me and that she'd send me a text when they were finished. I spent some time looking around the store while I waited. Personally, I didn't find much for myself because I don't think they have a huge selection in the large to XXL sizes, but I stayed inside since it was pretty warm outside. When I got the text that my buy was finished, I accidentally got in the wrong line, but the employees kindly pointed me in the right direction. Then the girl who had gone through my items called me over and said, "I'm surprised you told me we wouldn't take anything because we took 27 of your items!" I was honestly shocked and so happy. I explained that I'd been trying to get rid of these clothes at different resale stores and nobody wanted them. She told me I had some really good pieces, which made me feel even better. They showed me everything they took, and I asked if I could take a quick picture since some of the items were also listed on my Depop. She was super nice and said, "Of course!" In the end, they offered me $97.50 for 27 items, and I happily accepted. I only left with three items still in my bag, which is amazing considering how full it was when I walked in. Now that I know they accept some vintage pieces, trendy items, and more inclusive sizes, I'll definitely be coming back. I didn't get the employee's name, but she was incredibly kind and made the whole experience enjoyable. Overall, this trip completely changed my opinion of Plato's Closet. My first experience wasn't great, but this visit was pleasant from start to finish.

The store is organized by type of clothing (e.g. menswear, jackets, formal or evening wear) and color. Shoes, kids' books, and home decor can be found in the back and there's even a sweet little treasure chest where your little ones can pick out a toy for free! Full Circle also offers promotions depending on what day you pop by, like "color of the week Wednesdays" and "frame and art Fridays." There's usually only one associate in the store, but I've had good experiences from different people the times I've gone. I love the messaging and giving back to the community! There is free coffee at the door and a table where you can anonymously write prayer requests. Just another reason to keep coming back!
