They are a larger sized store with a nice variety. Lots to enjoy. Come find some new treasures and reminisce on some vintage memories. They have a lot of friendly, helpful people too.

This place packed a whole antique market, thrift shop, and curio cabinet into one unit. I do not know whether to attempt to describe the few vintage things this store does not stock or the complete horde of objects that it does. The answer to the question of where one would put everything if they had it is definitely Above Face Oddities. The owner, Melanie, worked wonders with this storefront. Were there crates of records? Yes. Were there racks and racks of band shirts. Oui. What about dope patches and pins. Si. Lunch boxes with chill art on them.? Why not. This does not have original art by lady artists? Turns out it does. But with all that inventory, I doubt Above Face sells Halloween costumes, right? Wrong. This store belongs in the sequel to Ghost World. The kind of store Enid and Rebecca would have opened once they completely quit caring about what anyone else thinks. I could see Ripley's Believe It or Not buying this place out. One could pass most, if not all, of a day just mulling over the sheer merch here. There was even a can of Manic Mallow from The Simpsons. Where else would it be? I could on and on about the jeans, the hats, the pins, the belts, the jewelry, the art, the posters, the make-up, the wigs, the risque framed cartoons, but I will leave some of it up to the imagination. Stay in your lane, normcore folk. This store is for the odd.

They went over everything super clearly and really quickly sorted through all I had - which was a lot! They were very fair in pricing and throughtful about what they could use or not and why. They even gave advice on what to do with what they can't take. This is a heaven for plus size in vintage and fun quirky prints. They really know what they are doing with what they curate in the shop. At Sheepfold I also purchased the same brand also new w tags for 9 bux. They had a Kate Spade coat here for 150. I bought a retro necklace here for 35 which is way over what I usually pay. Books are a good deal here when they are on sale for .50. Mens used shirts with hawaiian prints was 20 or 25 bux. Clothes are expensive here. And now that parking is not free I don't stop by as much. Some of the volunteers here esp the older ladies are overzealous in watching customers, thinking they are going to steal? The student volunteers are polite and helpful.

I said the sign reads "Tenant Parking Only." He said that refers to the apartments adjacent to their building. He said I could park in the back so I went to move my car and when I went to park in the back, the area leading to the back was completely blocked off and I had no way to get back there so figuring that this place is not really place any value on facilitating parking for their customers I decided to take my business elsewhere.

I noticed a bunch of wedding dresses (that I do not see at other Assistance Leagues), in addition to the usual clothes for women and men. Babies and small children's clothes are folded in small bins. When I was there, the special was linens at 50% off. The women who volunteer there are very nice and helpful. Limited hours from 11 to 3, and Wed to Sat.

The employees are always friendly and accommodating and are hard workers. It takes a lot to run a place like this one with donations always coming in, but they really do manage to keep the store clean and organized. Check out the big white board behind the registers to see what special pricing they have for the day. I was shocked to find $2 jeans/pants sales on the day I visited and scored a pair of Levi's 501's for $2!
