This is a large thrift store that is relatively clean and has great selection. They have plenty of men's and women's clothing, as well as furniture and housewares. There is a parking lot in front so parking is not a problem. The pricing is very affordable since most items are 2 to 4 dollars..you can find lots of good deals on lightly used items. I was able to get a couple of T-shirts and a shoulder bag. The workers are helpful as well. I recommend this thrift store and will be visiting again.

One of the best thrift stores in OC! I found this great wedding keepsake box for $1.91 that I will be using for memories from my future wedding in July 2025. The vintage finds from this thrift store is amazing steal! However, be ready to look through most racks!

Posted hours at the entrance show they close at 6:45, but they lock the door before that and have a security guard standing there preventing people from entering. Why have posted hours if they aren't going to follow them? Also, they may be infested with rats. Or maybe just one sneaky rat: https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/SyU5e8PzLeHZCLg4bmFPfw?select=el2uvlpdiGhuUmDsG6MZ6w&utm_source=ashare&ref=yelp-android

No vengan. Muy mal servicio al cliente.

No air conditioning. Unbearably hot and stuffy. Some items are decent price, but most are ridiculously pricey. Used, ripped levis for $19. I can get a new pair at Burlington for way less. They also had fake chanel loafers priced at $200. Use beat up, Dr. Martin boots for $49. Books are a good price, but they mark everything with a red crayon, so very hard to remove. I won't be back

Found exactly what I was looking for! Thermal long sleeve. Only $2.92!

At first, I thought it was a really cool store. They have a nice selection of electronics, manga, designer purses, shoes, and some cute Loungefly backpacks. However, I was disappointed with the women's clothing section. Most of the clothing seemed geared toward older women, and there wasn't much for younger adults or teens. I did notice they had some anime shirts, Sanrio items, and vintage pieces, which made me think they would be interested in buying some of my clothes. Today, I brought in a large bin and bag full of vintage clothing, anime shirts, and Sanrio items that I'd been holding onto because other resale stores wouldn't take them. After they sign me in the system, I barely had time to look around for 10 minutes before my number was called. Seeing how quickly they went through my items, I already had low expectations. I was surprised because I saw the exact same Kuromi shirt that I own on their racks, along with other styles very similar to the items I brought in. In the end, they only offered me $1.50 for one shirt that I already had listed on Depop for $5 because it had a small stain. They didn't take any of my anime shirts, Sanrio items, or vintage pieces, even though they carried similar items in the store. For reference, I'm posting a picture of the exact shirt they decided to take--the only item they bought from everything I brought in. I drove 30 minutes just to be offered $1.50, which was incredibly disappointing. It honestly feels like they aren't very clear about what they're looking to buy, and I'm not sure they thoroughly went through everything I brought in. The employees and security guard were all very nice and friendly, so I appreciate that. My main issue is with the buying process and the lack of clarity on what clothing they actually accept. I think it would help if they explained their buying guidelines better on their website or social media. Overall, Eco Town is fun to browse, but my selling experience was very disappointing, and I wish I had listened to the previous reviews before making the drive.

Since then, I never gave Plato's Closet another chance. Today, I happened to be down the road from another resale store and thought, "Why not? Let's see if they'll take anything this time." When I walked in, a very nice employee asked me to place my items on the counter. She checked if I had sold there before, and even though it had been years, I was still in their system. I even joked and told her, "You guys probably won't be able to take anything, but that's okay. I've been trying to sell this bag of clothes for a while, and other resale stores haven't taken any of it." She told me there were three people ahead of me and that she'd send me a text when they were finished. I spent some time looking around the store while I waited. Personally, I didn't find much for myself because I don't think they have a huge selection in the large to XXL sizes, but I stayed inside since it was pretty warm outside. When I got the text that my buy was finished, I accidentally got in the wrong line, but the employees kindly pointed me in the right direction. Then the girl who had gone through my items called me over and said, "I'm surprised you told me we wouldn't take anything because we took 27 of your items!" I was honestly shocked and so happy. I explained that I'd been trying to get rid of these clothes at different resale stores and nobody wanted them. She told me I had some really good pieces, which made me feel even better. They showed me everything they took, and I asked if I could take a quick picture since some of the items were also listed on my Depop. She was super nice and said, "Of course!" In the end, they offered me $97.50 for 27 items, and I happily accepted. I only left with three items still in my bag, which is amazing considering how full it was when I walked in. Now that I know they accept some vintage pieces, trendy items, and more inclusive sizes, I'll definitely be coming back. I didn't get the employee's name, but she was incredibly kind and made the whole experience enjoyable. Overall, this trip completely changed my opinion of Plato's Closet.
