In what was an extremely stressful situation Pat (the owner) quickly answered every phone call with my endless questions in the shortest of time frames. I committed to him doing all the work Tuesday night and he told me his goal was to have my gas back on the following evening and he did - less than 24 hours!!! I did have another issue with my hot water tank (a manufacturing defect) and he showed up again to resolve that issue too!! His work ethic is top notch. His entire crew (Justin, Wes, and Callum) literally worked their asses off in pouring rain, cold and wind, up a hill, thru tree roots - hand digging - they didn't stop all day. Maybe a 10 minute lunch break. I felt so bad and they all were so pleasant and respectful. Elissa in the office was the first person I had contact with and she was so easy and compassionate to work with. She offered to drive to my house with anything I needed while my gas was off!! Impressed doesn't even begin to cover how I feel about this experience. The entire team exceeded my expectations. I don't have a single complaint besides wishing I had known about them before this issue even happened. 10/10 I can't recommend them enough!! We are always quick to complain about a company who screws us over, but this company deserves all the praise and good word of mouth!!

When the appointment day came, no one said what time they were coming, no one answered the phone during business hours, home warranty could not get in contact with anyone, and when I had to switch the provider, they finally called at 5:00 and said no one answered the phone because "we're too busy" and he would be there in 30 minutes. By this time, the provider was already switched and nothing could be done. Would not recommend anything done by this company because they're probably way too busy to even answer the phone at the office. Stay far away. This is not a company looking for new customers.

I texted him the address to the property where I was having a garbage disposal issue. We met there on time. Michael was able to clear the problem and show me what I could do in the future should a similar problem arise. The following week I called on Michael again. This time it was at another property to diagnose and clear all plumbing drains in a bathroom. The charge for services was not cheap but they were fair, came out right away, and the attention and care to the problem were worth it. I will most definitely use Michael/Samuel Bales Plumbing again. You all led me to this small, local business and you were spot-on, so I am paying it forward by adding my review! My family had our pipes freeze in the winter storm this Christmas. Friday, it was the cold water pipe, which took seven hours of work to unfreeze. We thought we were in the clear and counted our blessings as we kept the cold water running overnight Friday -- only to discover Saturday around noon that the hot water pipe was now frozen solid. Twelve straight hours of effort with hair dryers, space heaters, boiling water pots, heating pad wraps and everything else we could think of did not work and we went to sleep Christmas Eve defeated, wondering how we were hosting the rest of my family on Christmas with no hot water, dishwasher, etc. (Our efforts did eventually pay off with the hot water coming on at 8 a.m. Christmas morning and no pipes bursting. So grateful.) During this nightmare I called a number of plumbers who list themselves as emergency 24/7 plumbers, but only Gary from Brickhaas called back. He called during the span of time that I thought everything was under control, but I asked if we could be booked for later in the week to unclog a bathroom drain I've had a problem with lately. Glad I booked them as, after the pipes thawed, the under sink drain was leaking slightly so Dominic was able to take a look at both of these things today. He called with a 20-minute heads up on his arrival, efficiently took care of the clogged sink and an aerator that was limiting water flow, installed a new kitchen sink trap assembly (which he said I could honestly take or leave; I appreciated the honesty but opted to replace for my own peace of mind), and offered solid advice about what we might do if plans to better insulate those water pipes in the future didn't work out re: rerouting the pipes from their current, poor location. He was highly knowledgeable, didn't hard sell anything and I absolutely got his card as I'll be calling them for future plumbing needs. Yelp comes through, as usual!
