She is THE BEST hairdresser I've ever gone to and I've been to so many. As a blonde, it's really hard to find someone that knows what they're doing and will not damage your processed hair. She really knows what she's doing with color and styling and most of the time you don't come across someone that can do both. How is it my fault she said I insist to be blonde yes I did but the colors didn't match so I had to walk outside like that. You can see my real hair where it is and then you see the extensions so I had to spend more money to tone it, which that wasn't my problem. If I order extensions, the owner should've got the right color, but I look like an idiot walking like that with two colors. What really got me is that you can see in the hair my ponytail it looks really stupid. You can tell when my real hair is atI had to walk around like that. When I told her I wanted to put more extensions. She told me she thinks it's gonna show If she add more extensions because my hair i have thick hair and she's afraid it's going to show . So now I had to go to another hair salon spend more money$450 to fix my hair and there wasn't any issue any problems doing my hair it came out perfect . The whole point is from the beginning with my hair. She made me walk out like that. How can I walk outside like that with half of my hair short the bottom is long it was a really stupid job She knew I wasn't happy when i told her. My extensions was a lighter blonde which that's what I wanted but no, she put the color in without telling me to a dark blonde how it was gonna turn out. All she did was put 40 pieces of hair extensions in my hair, which was only the bottom that was it. Nothing on top. My hair was horrible. The first time I got it done you seen the picture. It's way too blonde in the bottom so she knew I wasn't happy so of course She had to tow it to match my hair on top. I didn't want the color from the beginning. I told her I wanted to be more blonde my whole head. Now she doesn't Want to get my refund back which I think I have a right to it! The last picture with the dark hair blonde basically that's how she made me look. That's sad.

I arrived on time to my appointment, after driving 20 minutes from home and paying for parking only to be seated and looked over by the female stylist several times sighing and going back and forth between saying she could and could not cut my hair. She gave no particular reason, just kept touching it and looking at and repeatedly went back and forth until after ten minutes of being prodded like a zoo animal decided enough was enough. I was able to book a last minute appointment at M Salon in Eastchester and they gave me EXACTLY the shoulder length cut and style I wanted in less than an hour with only a picture and a few words for direction. Very DISAPPOINTED in Salon Shige as my 3-year old son had a great haircut experience with the owner a few months back that prompted me to try them for my own hair. I've had my hair cut and styled almost exclusively in the past ten years by Japanese salons in NYC, so I really can't figure out why this one salon found my hair difficult to work with. Looking at the pictures of the other customers, my hair is similar to many of their past customers. Oh well. My son won't be returning either.

The location is off the main road with convenient parking, and when you enter the salon, you feel like you're in a NYC specialty salon. There's always a pleasant smile there to welcome you and it's always busy so you know the word is out. I'm always greeted with a cup of coffee and some sort of sweet delicious snack that makes the experience a true destination. The services are great...from hair care to nail care to even skin care and they continue to expand. I've never been disappointed and can always rely on their quality stylists. I'd recommend making an appointment, but they've always been accommodating to walk-ins as well. Roseann has always been my favorite stylist--she's young, hip, and knows exactly what to do to my hair to bring out my best features. And she really listens to you. There's someone for everyone there. My only negative is that it's a 45 minute drive for me from Stamford...but it's well worth the trip! I found out about Salon Atelier through a friend and have been going there for about 2 years now, so I probably get the special treatment...but if you're looking for some special treatment of your own, make sure to check it out.

The salon is nice enough, and the staff seemed well intentioned and polite. But as the "stylist" began working on me, I could see she had no idea what she was doing. She was very obviously a shampoo girl who they assigned to me because I was a walk-in. GREED I suppose, but I was horrified with the fuzzy horrid results and said so. It was my first time coming to Glambar and found it via Yelp. Luckily they were able to get me an appointment within a week of them reopening. Joelle was my stylist but all the staff here are super friendly. I had to wear a mask per CDC guidelines as did everyone else but it did not take away from the experience. I've never had hair service that felt like a warm hug. So here's my salon background: nowhere near this, I can tell you that. I've been going to the same little shop in Chinatown in the city since I was a broke college kid for ten years. Paying $30 plus tip just to get the job done, just for a semblance of put together hair. Well... I'm a grown up now and it's time for an upgrade, time for new things to try. And comparing Hair Saloon and my little reliable shop... the phrase I would use is you get what you pay for. The quality Brianna and Danielle exposed to me to is something I would never turn my back on now that I've had a taste of it. When I walked into the salon, which shares a little building with a nail salon next door, my nervous little self was greeted with warm smiles and welcomes. I was given a little tour of the cafe/bar side, and then the section where the actual magic begins. Seeing as how they've open during the height of COVID, they're still very infection control friendly! The chairs in the cutting/stying section are more than generously six feet apart, and the chairs by the washing station are separated by clear screens. 10/10 for cleanliness because you see these other businesses and since late 2021, you know hygiene has definitely been thrown out the window. You know you're dishing out a little more $ when there's massage chairs during the hair wash. In my head I was just wow'd because Chinatown could never lol. Brianna was great during the wash. One thing I have to commend them for is the communication step-by-step. She asked me my preferences in shampoo, and I usually opt for products that offer volume, so she introduced me to R&Co, which was pretty much *the* brand that was used on me throughout my appointment. I really appreciated how she explained the different types of shampoo they used and who would benefit from what. The shampoo, the hair serum, and hair spray I'm pretty sold on because I'm that person who's always looking for the next best thing when it comes to hair and face products. Now Danielle. You are the GOAT. Thank you for showing me what it's like to be well taken care of as a client. There is something in that customer service of yours that feels so warm and it's like, of course the business would be 5 stars on here! You're like the big sister of hair, telling me what works and what doesn't. I told you this during the service, but you are absolutely absolutely absolutely the master of your craft! :) Dear future customers, the way Danielle can utilize and manipulate round brushes?
