I came to Flora Nails on 9/2 for the first time after seeing that they had powder dip gel manicures. I was a bit late to my appointment, as the traffic from the hurricane really messed up my drive, and I was thankful they were still able to take me. I believe the owner was the technician who did both my powder dip manicure and regular pedicure, and she was so sweet the entire time. Powder dip gel is supposed to last 2-3 weeks, and every time I've gotten it at other salons, it has stayed perfect throughout that time. I'm writing this review as after 1 day, the manicure I got done at Flora has already cracked on 4 nails. read more

It's not easy to find a nail salon where the owner values quality over quantity and visibly shows or verbalizes thanks for your patronage. The team of ladies today were extremely warm and welcoming, open to conversation and confident with their abilities. English language speaking and comprehension abilities ranged from highly proficient to completely fluent (mother tongue: Mandarin). I think the pricing is a bit higher than other salons in Scarsdale, but after a rude and unpleasant experience at a salon on Garth, I was happy to accommodate the pricing. I believe there are three or four other nail salons in Scarsdale, alone. Flora is right off the Bronx River. It is small, but quiet, free of chemical smells, and very clean. Credit/debit cards are accepted, including your tip (nevertheless, cash is always preferred for gratuity). It is clear that clientele are completely loyal regulars, even if they do not live in Scarsdale. Costumers took out their digital and/or paper calendars after settling the tab and made sure to set up the next appointment. All three women made sure to introduce themselves and truly ask my name (with the intention of remembering it). The powder manicure I received was meticulous despite the disaster I dealt them. Every effort and extensive time were spent cleaning up my cuticles which were soaked in molten black metallic interior house paint (bad choice all around). Hand massage and a quick, but lovely, back massage were also included as part of the service, as well as an incentive program ($30 pedi on-the-house) for returning patrons (10 powder manis). It certainly never escaped the owner's intuitive nature regarding how many Americans view this time in their day, as not only "me" time, but a moment in their week to let a little lose, spill the beans, and feel a part of a community before reentering the stresses of tristate daily life. Think "Legally Blond" Reese Witherspoon in the hilarious nail salon scenes where cosmetology turns into therapy sessions. Go visit YaYa and Judy. Enjoy. read more

I just moved to Scarsdale a month ago and this salon was recommended to me. I have had acrylic nails for years, but when I went into the salon I was told that they do not do acrylic manicures, so I tried something new. I had my first SNS powder nail manicure and it was the Best manicure I have ever had. As promised, it lasted three weeks!!! I just had it redone yesterday and again it is Fabulous!!! I also had a Rose Spa Pedicure on both occasions. It is heavenly!! The salon is very relaxing and the women are so sweet. I will be going back there regularly. Had a great experience here at Flora. The ladies were really sweet and the manicure was great. However, I got a dip polish and it did not last. By 1.5 weeks it started chipping and before 2 weeks I had lost two completely off the nail. The salon itself was clean and updated. read more

They do the BEST powder gel manicures and have the largest selection of colors I've ever seen! The salon is clean and quiet. The ladies are professional and focused. My nails have become so much healthier since I've been a customer here. My usual has quickly become an SNS powder gel manicure & a rose spa pedicure. This is offered as a special for $100. The pedicure is always incredible and leaves my feet feeling baby soft and beautiful. The ladies are also wonderful about helping clients pick colors and styles. Flora Nail has a wonderful, friendly staff that is always consistent with their quality of work. I have gotten a manicure, pedicure, SNS, and a massage here. I had a 10am appointment for a pedicure this morning (I called and booked it yesterday afternoon). I arrived ten minutes early to find that the lights were off and the door was locked. No answer when I called the phone number on the website (I called around 11am then again later in the afternoon). They just lost a customer. read more
