I've been frequenting M Street Cleaners for about 9 years, and I've heard good and bad reviews. In the recent years I can honestly say it has changed for the WORSE! It's the sad truth. Ms. Young the only lady that works there has a huge sign in the window that says "same day alterations" and when I ask her for same day alterations, she says "we no do ah same day alterations anymore because of Covid" I don't know how that makes sense. I went to go pickup my items and one of my pants alterations she forgot to due and blamed it on her famous nonexistent "brother" that's never around, and told me to comeback the next day, and refuses to compensate me for the inconvenience. That was the first mess up I had with M Street Cleaners. Saturday 10/4/25 I got to drop off two pairs of pants, and a hoodie, everything needs to be dry cleaned, and one pair of pants needs to stitch up for a hole in the pocket. I tell Ms. Young I'm going out of town this week, when will it be ready. Ms.Young says "it will be ready for pickup on Monday after 5pm" which my ticket shows. Today is Monday 10/6/25, I go to pickup my clothes and I'm missing a pair of pants, the one that needs to be stitched...Ms. Young who's has multiple sewing machines around the cleaners says "I send to my brother after stitching, comeback tomorrow", I reminded her that I was going out of town and that she put on my ticket pickup for Monday after 5pm...she says "I no perfect, I make mistakes" and neglects the fact that the customer has a schedule and life, totally inconveniencing to the customer. She also refuses to refund or compensate a customer and looks at a customer with blank face like she just arrived here. The said part is she makes you pay up front so she has my money and offers bad services. I had to walk out with 2 out of 3 of my items. I never thought I'd be writing a review about M Street Cleaners because I use to walk there when I live at M Street Lofts and love it! However it is no longer the same service, she blames everything on her brother who no one has ever seen, I asked for his information/business she couldn't provide it. Just visited M Street to get an alteration on my wedding suit. Many of my friends have recommended M Street to me for the longest if I ever needed an alteration. The Parking: The parking is pretty convenient considering the location. It's directly in front of an apartment complex, since M Street is on the corner. There are about 4 parking spots on the side strictly for M Street guests. There's also street parking, if it's available and if it's even necessary. The Process: When I arrived, I was asked if I needed an alteration or dry cleaning. Once I confirmed the alteration, she told me to try it on in the fitting room. The fitting room had a seat, as well as a platform to step on so she can pin you up. The lady is super sweet and somehow knew my fit perfectly. The cost of the pants alteration was $22, which I feel is relatively good pricing. Overall, I'm completely satisfied with this experience and look forward coming back for future alterations. read more

I'm new to Georgia and just needed to find a new spot to dry clean my heavy blankets and jeans hemmed. The owner was extremely helpful and considering she's the only one holding it down, let's give her a round of applause. It's located near a lot of the hot spots but considering there are probably a lot of students here it's a great place to go if you need things done affordable. $10 for hemming bottom of my jeans and dry cleaning a huge thick blanket was around $20. I recommend them to any of my friends who need jeans hemmed because $10 is a steal. read more

I had a decent experience with this cleaner for the first few times I dropped off my clothes but had a recent horrible experience that I think should be noted. I really wished I would have read these negative reviews before I took my clothes in and I would have never used them. The issue I had was that a belt that was attached to my shirt went missing. I stopped by to see if they had the belt and the woman owner first told me I didn't drop it off. I reminded her that I was concerned it would get lost (even though it was physically attached to the shirt). Once she accused me of losing it, she then blamed the company that actually cleans all of their clothes. THEY OUTSOURCE the cleaning. Nothing is cleaned at M-Street Cleaners. She continued to blame the other company and then told me to leave. Her exact words were..."Not my problem, your problem. Now leave!" It's unfortunate that she lost the belt b/c I can't wear the $125 shirt without it. I understand that accidents happen but she became aggressive, threw the outsourcer under the bus and then asked me to leave. Really? DON'T take your clothes here. It may be convenient but ultimately something will happen and you will wind up frustrated and out of money like I did and other people that have reviewed this place. read more

I have been a customer at M Street over 2 years. I just picked out my silk print Elie Tahari dress to pack for a business trip only to discover that the prints faded. There are two purple stain on my white dress. One is big and in the middle of the top of the dress. I don't see how they didn't notice this error and failed to mention at pickup that they made the mistake without notifying me. Instead it was steamed pressed and placed nicely in the bag between all my other dresses. This dress was well over $250 and I've had it for years without any issue. It's not like the dress is replaceable since it's past season. It's not so much the mess up, but the lack of communication and honesty to attempt to resolve the problem. Recently I went to M Street Cleaners for alterations. I wanted to have my pants hemmed. When I received my pants, I noticed the pants were not hemmed, but glued at the bottom pant leg(s). I asked what the glue was and how to get it out. The woman, one of the owners, seemed offended and said it was there when I gave it to her (which is not correct). Not "same-day" ... not organized ... not nice. Dropped off clothes at 8am and was assured of their same-day cleaning services, "between 5-7pm." Attempt #1: Clothes were actually not ready at 6pm, and I was told to come back the next day at 4:30pm. Attempt #2: When I said I needed my clothes by 8am because that's why I chose them in the first place -- for their "same day service" -- they said that 8am was too early and that I could return at 10am, even if someone else picked up the order for me. Fine. Attempt #3: Boyfriend picked up the order, but they were unsure if they mixed-up my order with someone else's and were mad that he couldn't ID every item. (But, they said someone else could pick it up...) No discount offered for not following same-day service listed on the receipt. Two trips to pick up, plus unneeded stress as a customer. Will definitely go elsewhere, and you should do the same! read more

I do not recommend this place and would give zero stars if possible. This review is a little long, but will give you a good idea of why you should not do business at this place even if it is convenient for you. I had brought several clothes in, including two suits with one that needed zipper replacement on the pant. The cleaner cleaned the items, but forgot to repair the zipper that I paid for. I brought it in with my receipt after calling her; she said that I was 'confused', that it was the second suit I brought in that she fixed (fyi, that zipper was fine). I entertained her and offered to go ahead and bring the second suit (as well as ALL the items from that order) later that day while she fixed the zipper, even thought it was out of my way, to 'prove' to her what I was talking about. When I brought the items from the receipt in later that day, she begin yelling and called me a liar and said that I had brought "another" suit in. I only have two suits that I wear and that I brought for cleaning, and I brought my entire dry cleaning order, including all my laundered shirts to appease the now irate owner. I explained that there is no 'other' suit; she yelled at me saying that I was lying and that no one has only two suits that they wear! Sure they do - if they don't have to wear one to work that day and only to weddings or interviews every year or two. Whatever that was just a diversion for the owner that she went off on. The owner then threw my receipt on the floor, called me a liar and said I had to pay for a new zipper and proceeded to give me a death stare. I tried to calm her down and explain that I'm not upset about failure to fix the zipper, I just shouldn't have to pay again for services that were not performed the first time. She refused to give back my pant without recharging me. I paid the $12 overcharge so I could have my suit pants back, and told her with such poor customer service, you can't retain customers and I won't do business with her again. She said she doesn't care and doesn't want my services. As I was paying to overcharge, she berated me in front of another customer who was Korean like she is, and I strongly believe she was putting me down as she yelled about me in her native tongue. It was demeaning, unprofessional, and unnecessary, and I let her know that as calm as I could. Instead of responding appropriately, she inferred that I was a lying again about the zipper. After I left, I was still bothered by the whole experience. Maybe she was having a bad day, so I waited and called her 45 minutes later that day to make amends, inquire why she became aggressive, and talk about it after maybe she had calmed down. Instead she repeated that I was 'confused' and that I was lying (?) and slammed the phone on me. This is beyond bad service, it is inhumane. I filed my first complaint ever with the BBB requesting a resolution: mainly an apology and a refund of $12 for the double charges. I don't care about the money, what I want is an apology. The business eventually responded via BBB and simply wrote "We will issue a store credit". I refused, as I will never enter foot in that store again. If an apology and refund are not issued by the end of this week, I will submit a complaint with my credit card company for fraudulent behavior. If you want to avoid similar bad experiences, I advise avoiding this place. There are plenty of other dry cleaners out there that charge better prices and offer better service. Hopefully one day the owner will eventually realize that they cannot treat customers like garbage. read more

I stumbled across this cleaners as I was rolling down Marietta street anxiously seeking out a cleaners that did same day service. Luckily as I drove by on there window it said same day service...and i screamed JACKPOT.......i actually had an interview the next day so it was IMPERATIVE that I had my clothes that day after 5. I must say parking is a bit slim......thats my only issue.....but i walked in and was greeted by this wonderful lady. She was soooo nice...i'll probably go back just for the simple fact that she has the best customer service ever! I had like 5 items and it only came up to 23.00 so the price was a plus also. Will never take my clothing here again and I used to be a repeat customer. I took a bridesmaid dress here to be altered, all I needed was a few inches taken off the hem. She charged me $48 for that because it was supposedly 3 layers she had to altered and she wanted to press it. I questioned it before I paid and told her I don't need the dress pressed because I will be folding it down to travel with it. She took $10 off (originally tried to charge me $58). She said the dress was wide which added to the price (it's a chiffon dress that flares out) Again I said I just need it hemmed not taken in. I paid the $48 and was told it would be ready in a week in a half which it wasn't. I checked on it and she said it wasn't ready then called me the day after it was scheduled for pick up and claimed it would be ready for picked up that evening. When I did go get it, she didn't like that I wanted to try it on before I walked out with it and seemed very annoyed. I did so anyway after reading reviews of people taking items home and when they call to complain about a mistake, they won't own up to it. I counted the layers when I tried it on and it was only 2 she had to alter. I also noticed she pressed it and it looks shades lighter then when I brought it in. I questioned her before leaving and she acted like she didn't understand me. I told her she didn't need to press it like we talked about beforehand and asked for breakdown of the pricing. She started to get upset while I was calm with her and said that what the price is. I ended up leaving shaking my head and praying my dress will blend in with the rest of the bridal party because I don't have time to order a new one. If you need anything altered, don't go here! This place left an oxidation stain on my blue suit jacket. I took it back and asked the lady what she could do to fix the issue she denied having any ties to the oxidation stain saying they do not use chemicals. I asked how did they dry clean without chemicals she just repeated that they do not use chemicals and asked me to leave. The worst customer service and the worst dry cleaning experience. I was dumbfounded and left vowing to never return. The least she could've done was take responsibility for it and offered some compensation but she was upset that I questioned her. Mom and pop type feel in the middle of midtown. Quick service and quality work. They have a wash and fold service that I have never tried personally but have heard lots of positive comments about. If you drop off before 9am, you may pick it up on the same day. read more

I've been coming to this cleaner for four years, with no issues until today. The woman who runs this location and is always here said she couldn't clean one of my shirts. When I asked her why, she said she couldn't clean it, no explanation (it's a new shirt). It's a 100% cotton shirt, no different than so many of my shirts and exactly the same as another shirt she just agreed to clean. I told her I just wanted to know why she couldn't clean this one, do that I didn't get this kind of shirt again. She had no idea what I was asking and told me to find another cleaner. I think she just doesn't speak English well enough to understand what I was asking, which I guess is fine, but not sure how I'm supposed to do business when we can't communicate. It's a shame, but I'll just take her advice and go to one of the billion other cleaners in the area. I suggest you do the same. read more

Absolutely terrible. I gave them two white button down shirts I just needed pressed straight and when I picked them up they were filthy. I spoke with a Ms. Young and her manager Mr. Sok. They insisted it was all my fault and they never make mistakes. My shirts are now ruined (both inside and outside and the collar). I will never do business with them again. read more

Ran in for some alterations and saw a couple of guys from the AUC getting suits tailored. They said they were told to come here by others from their school. Price is great and service is on time. I took their word and have been very happy. As for the previous comments I applaud Ms. Jen, I too wanted to applaud your statement of even joking it is racist. The first time that we took his clothes, everything was fine; therefore, we decided use them a second time and dropped off 15 dress shirts. We picked them up a few days after dropping them off, took them home, and hung them still in the plastic. Two days ago, my husband took one of his shirts out to wear and we noticed 2 rips on the front of his shirt. We immediately took the shirt back, but the female owner became short, defensive, and rude. She was nice and all smiles before, but quickly turned into a monster. Her husband was leaving everything up to her and she refused to even try to come to a happy medium. NEVER AGAIN! We will take our business elsewhere. I recently went there and it was under new management. I went because it's convenient being right in the apartment complex. I needed an alteration done on the same day so I can wear it to the party and they got it done. The alteration lady is always there and the quality of the alteration was good too. I am borrowing a dress for a special event, so I can't have it altered. I wanted to see if I could have someone simply pin the straps securely enough to make it for the one night of wear. The lady was apparently offended by my request to pay her for this request. She told me no and turned and walked away. I noticed this cleaners because of the $1.00 wash-and-fold sign outside the store front. Upon entering the store, the owner spent most of her time having a personal phone conversation and didn't acknowledge me other than to motion for me to hurriedly place my bags on the scale for weighing while she continued her phone conversation. My clothing weighed in at 67 lbs. I also brought in 5 pieces of clothing for dry cleaning. She finally hung up her call and went to the register to print my ticket for the laundry service and gave me a separate ticket for the dry cleaning, which was itemized by garment. I realized I accidentally left a small bag of clothing at home and told her that I only lived a block away so I'd be back in less than 5 minutes. Upon my return to the store, she again motioned for me to put bag on the scale. She then informed me that the minimum amount for wash-and-fold is 10 pounds. I showed her my ticket and explained to her that I literally just dropped of 67 lbs of clothes and left a bag by mistake. She then pretended like to not understand what I was saying and told me I had to pay for the 10 lbs. I paid $10 for my 6 lb bag so I could be done with her. When I picked up my clothes 2 days later, they were very neatly folded in large plastic bags. After I got home and unpacked the bags, I noticed a LOT of my stuff was missing. I drove back to the store and the owner acted insulted that I told her I was missing items. She began speaking loudly in her native tongue, went to the back of the store and came back with another bag with my clothing in it offering a very nonchalent "sorry" as she handed me the bag. I returned back home only to discover I was STILL missing 4-5 items. I called the store and the owner again pretended like she didn't understand what I was saying and hinted that I was lying about items still being missing. I tried to find another wash-and-fold in my area, but M Street seemed to be the only one around so I decided to give them another try. THIS time, I itemized my items. I walked in the store and informed the woman that I took inventory of my clothing since there was stuff missing from my previous visit. Again, she feigned insult and appeared to look very nervous, literally screaming "NO" at me over and over. I explained to her that this was no different than when she itemized my dry cleaning by garment. At this point she screamed at me that laundry was totally different and to GET OUT. She literally screamed at a paying customer to get out because I told her I itemized my laundry because she both misplaced and lost some of my items. I am a college student who is very interested in the skinny / Slim fitting way of dressing. I have been going to M-Street Cleaners for about 1 year now and I have never had any issues with any items. She always tailors my pants exactly how i like them done and the pricing is very good, and she finishes it very quickly so you will have it as soon as you need it. read more

I used to live in M-Street and used these guys once. They used Clorox on one of my shirts and ruined it. Not going back.
