Patty appeared to be 1/4 lb and premade but pretty good; decent pickle, red onion, and hand sliced tomato. The fun part is you get to press a button and they buzz you in. Then you walk down these stairs and enter into a cute little, intimate space. I was totally blown away by how friendly the staff are. The staff was very helpful and I felt welcomed and at ease. We also came in quite late but they were still able to accommodate a charcuterie board request after their kitchen closed. Overall I would definitely recommend this place if you're ever in the area. The drinks were interesting and quite strong to say the least. And Omgggg you must order the charcuterie board. We were staying at the Midland RR Hotel and wanted to try the restaurant as well. The room has a very historic look and feel. Due to its location in the basement and the lack of modern acoustics, it was a little on the noisy side. I was thrilled that the chef's daily special was Shepherds Pie. My Irish ancestory kicked in and I had the special. The Sample Room's take on Shepherd's Pie was excellent. I also had an appetizer of Gizapaco (their take on gazpacho) which was also quite good. My wife had the Reuben with fries which was also great. The service was good, the decor and atmosphere was historic and we had a great time. Would definitely stop here again.
