I am so glad I listened to her recommendation! My hair is shiny and beautiful and not dried out at all. At the end of the appointment Lana even took me outside with the mirror to show me how beautiful the color looks in the sun. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left I received a 5 start treatment. To top it off...the prices are beyond reasonable! Can't wait to go back this weekend for a blow-out! I've had it from a box which was dirty blonde, or rather a darker blonde but blonde. She mixed everything up and you know to do the dying of my hair from whatever she had. I kept telling her dirty blonde you know what blonde hair but a little darker blonde that's all but it's blonde. I made it very clear to her what it was, she made my hair, dark brown with caramel she said dark brown without asking for permission to change what I told her I wanted she did what she wanted to do and ruined my hair color people. I love the haircut. I told her I love the haircut. I did not tell her I love the color. I said I never had this color before. I don't know. I mean it looks good, but it's not what I wanted. I wanted dirty blonde hair so I called immediately afterwards to tell her I needed her to lighten it up. It was wrong but she didn't answer nobody was answering so then I sent an email and I complained about it and I said it has to be lighter and I didn't get a response so I wrote again to today which is days later I had already gone to my old Hairdresser were they had to do a full head of a blonde highlights to take out the heavy the dark brown that she had put in they couldn't put a color on top of it because it would damage my hero. I was told so they had to put highlights hopefully head. It was a lot of money and they already paid a lot of money to her and I gave her huge tip which she shouldn't have gotten because she's the owner owners are not supposed to be tipped but she's welcoming. She's welcome tips. I read somewhere before that. She had done this to someone else and she did it to me that she got someone else's color was all off. I don't think she's a licensed colorist and when I said that to her tonight, she was oh no no but she didn't. She didn't prove she was licensed. I believe she's not a licensed colorist and she's doing color and people's hair today. She was coloring somebody's hair black my friend had her haircut there and she said she was putting black on someone's hair and but it was the one with dark hair so it wasn't someone who had lighter hair, but the quality of the dye is good because my hair was still soft. I didn't smell peroxide nothing like that but she doesn't follow the customers requests. Well she doesn't know what she's doing. Somebody should investigate if she in fact has a colorist on staff to do color or if she has a license and training to do color I'll never go back there again. I really should get my money back and everybody who saw it didn't like it. I thought it made me look younger, but it wasn't what I wanted and then I thought what am I gonna do about the Rutsch? It's gonna be dark Rutsch now and that means I have to keep going back. I don't want. I don't want to care. It's not me. I never had dark hair. I wanted the dirty blonde. Why couldn't you give me what I asked for? She knew that's what color I had some of it was still in my hair from Cvs so anyway that's my complaint that she is probably operating as a colorist without training and without a license and that she will not give you what you ask for and that as Owner she's not supposed to be taking big tips and she takes big tips cause I gave her big tip and so did my friend, but my friend didn't have her hair color there so she's only good for haircuts and she's usually late for appointments. It seems she has trouble getting there. She's coming from a distance. today instead of accepting she made a mistake. She argued with me and she tried to put words in my mouth saying I said I love the hair color. I did not say I love the hair color now she has no witness because nobody was there at that moment. I love the haircut that's what I was saying I loved. I told her I wanted dirty blonde hair and she said I don't like dirty. That's what she said to me. She didn't like the word dirty. Maybe she didn't have the right color in stock? Maybe she just didn't know how to get it to the right color? My friend was giving a give me a morning appointment and she was very late to arrive and my friend was sitting in a car for the longest time. Then when the woman finally shows up, she said oh no, that's not the appointment that I have I don't have that eye crossed that off that's that I don't come at that hour, but in fact, she did have an appointment at an early hour. Her daughter had made the appointment so it's just lies. She's not able to be honest. She's not able to tell the truth. She argues instead thinking she'll bully a person to be quiet. I told her I'm never going back to her again. I'm going to my Hairdresser. The one I used to go to the other ones who gave me the hairstyle that I told her to copy now I'm just going to go to the original.

The appointment was at 11, she was only able to take me at 11:30. She double booked her appointments. I asked for Hollywood waves. As Anna was teasing my hair she kept ripping it off ignoring my screams and begging to be careful. 3 days later after the hair style my hair still continues to break and to fall off from pulling. The waves only held for one hour so by the time I got to the wedding my hair was completely straight ($120 down the drain) . In addition, she was sneezing and sniffling right over my head. I called a few places prior to trying Luminous and they charge you for a cut and a blow out is additional! I'm sorry but I think it's ridiculous to charge for a blow out after someone is already paying for a service. But anyway!!! Not the case at luminous, my cut and blow was included with my cut and I found that business practice to be extremely fair! I just asked for a touch up and trim and I walked out of that salon feeling so great about my hair. They really paid attention to my hair and what I wanted and executed it with care and precision. I struggled with writing this review for a couple of months…read more 1) Yelp has this notification or message to please accommodate businesses during COVID. 2) Yelp also sends another message to look at and like/ acknowledge other reviews by other consumers for the same establishment. I did not read the 3 recent Yelp reviews from other customers who had really bad experiences with this Salon. Deepika - " poor and rude customer service", chasing down a nine month pregnant woman. Shreya " ruined, destroyed". Jaswinder " sheer waste of money" These are words from their reviews. My mother knows the owners for 40 years and meets them on a regular basis at parties, lunches, card games and get togethers. My mother is blind in her right eye. Her vision and perception are hence hindered. I drove her to the salon for her cut n color appointment with the owner Nina L. Nina had her daughter Evina handle it. The other owner/partner Vineet's father, manager and front desk counter person Mr Darshan ( goes by Deekay) N was very polite and welcoming. I was told to come back after 90 minutes which I did. He told me not to forget her winter cap as it was really cold. Very considerate. It took about two hours. I paid the $94 in cash ( Yelp 10 percent discount so $105 total minus the $11, plus a $33 cash tip plus a box of Lindt truffles that I had picked up in Switzerland). Got home and then actually looked at her head carefully. She had been butchered. ( see both photos). Her scalp was showing.The hair was cut way too short. The color was lighter than she requested and normally got. I took photos. I went back with the photos 2 days later. When I mentioned the issues, the really nice Manager Mr N ( owner Vineet's father) snapped, I mean yelled at me" What are you showing me this for ? I am not the aesthetician.". I politely asked for Nina L. She got flustered and denied everything. " Her hair was already like this". " This is what your mother wanted" etc. It took every ounce, every fiber of self control in my being not to say anything, not to react! I waited and stood there and she eventually did say, " I am sorry!". I responded " Is that it?" She then stated " Oh ok, I will fix it!", then turned and walked away. I counted to ten, smiled, waved and walked out. We did not go back, even for the free fix it.
