Mabuhay Oriental Market is the only oriental market in Kalispell. Despite its small size and being tucked into a strip mall, it has a wide variety of food, condiments, produce, and more. They sell freshly made kimchi, egg rolls, and spring rolls....all of which are delicious! Willie is very helpful in helping you find the ingredients you need. He is very pleasant and was a joy to talk to. He went out of his way to make sure I had everything I needed. Unfortunately Missoula doesn't have an Asian market, so I end up having to order most products online, unless I decide to make the 3 hour drive to Spokane, Washington or Kalispell. I will be coming here from now on to help support this wonderful small business. I wish I had taken pictures while I was inside, but didn't even think of it. The store is kept very clean and organized, and you are hit with the inviting smell of all the spices when you walk in. What a treat this little shop is. This store has almost all of the items needed for your Asian dishes. The store is very clean and spacious and don't smell like many of the other Asian markets I've shopped at previously. This is the closest Asian market to where I live, 150 miles away. Aside from distance, this is the better market to attend. read more

Ate Glenda has a mass stock of items ranging from Korea, Japan, Philippines with frozen foods that are pretty hard to come by. Plus if there's anything else you'd want that they are able to get for you. I love being able to call or text them if they're headed out to Seattle to ask for extra goodies hehe they offer amazing products and services. Gotta check them out!! read more

Fantastic Asian market in Kalispell! The store is filled with authentic spices, sauces, and ingredients. I felt like I was in Disneyland! The Flathead Valley's only Oriental market is tucked away in a strip mall on the west side of town. I suppose since it's right next door to a Chinese restaurant, Chinatown, this could be considered Kalispell's "Chinatown". LOL. Fresh rice noodles, fish roe for sushi (frozen), curry paste, rice paper, Asian noodles of all kinds, raw peanuts, all sorts of authentic sauces for stir fry's, Thai, Japanese, Korean....it's surprising all of the selections that this little store has. Staff are always friendly and helpful and if there's something that isn't in the store you can ask them and they will put it on their list for the next time they do their Seattle shopping trip. Glad to find a source for authentic Asian ingredients here in the Flathead Valley. It was hard to find - tucked in a strip mall on the north side of Idaho St, just east of the bypass. Across from McDonalds, next to Exxon. Phew! A small shop loaded with products- lots of sauces, oodles if noodles! I found the pad Thai & tamari sauce, chopsticks that I was looking for & more. Great prices on hard to find items. Didn't buy any produce or frozen foods this visit - FYI they're stored in a fridge & freezer. Looking at them, I wouldn't hesitate buying some produce, gyoza or dumplings here when I need them. The shopkeeper was friendly. Hours vary. read more

I love this store. I have watched it grow from it's humble beginnings to where it has relocated to now. My mother is Hawaiian and sometimes fed me some really strange things that I crave now in my middle age. For example, I adore the fact that I can get frozen poi here. Yes!!! Though I am no Asian cook (but would like to learn, if only someone would teach me), I have enjoyed being able to obtain even the simplest hard-to-find things like different kinds and sizes of kimchi, as well as miso paste, furikake seasoning and dried umeboshi. I try to stop by here whenever I'm in town, just because I adore the owners of this little family business. They've always treated my children so well. I'm glad to see this little store thriving. To help their business grow, maybe they could sponsor some kind of Asian Cooking For Dummies Class for people like me. That would be so awesome for the lucky locals who have this store in their valley! read more

Only oriental market in the area so not bad due to that fact! They have different kinds of saiki which is hard to find at these markets sometimes. They have boba and treats for sale inside the market. Good selection for Costa Mesa and other good markets can be found similarly in Garden Grove! read more

Such a great little shop! The owners are friendly and the selection is amazing. A definite go to for more obscure ingredients. Always a good source for fresh kimchee! The prices are a little high, but it's the only place in the valley to buy many of the higher quality items they keep in stock. read more
