I loved the rustic aesthetic and how clean the setup of the groceries were inside! This place is also 24 hour which is nice because a lot of grocery stores in this area close around 9-10pm. If you're concerned about covid precautions, beware that the staff here do not wear masks (even those that work with deli meat and serve food). The bathroom was also not the cleanest and the stall that I used had no toilet paper or backup toilet paper. read more

Made dinners in most night. Packed picnic lunches. All with food from here. Fish did not look great so we had no fish meals. (I usually eat a lot of fish but alas.) I have been going here for a long time, and I have to say the quality has slipped over the years. Overall, it's really nice, but, well... It's a hard job to manage a grocery store, and I don't think the most intelligent or dynamic people in the world usually stick around for that kind of work. So you get the sort of person you would expect in that sort of a position, and in a tight labor market that sort of person's intrinsic personality problems really manifest. It's not pleasant to see some young, under-trained but friendly employee getting berated by a crusty, mean manager when you're trying to find the organic pickles. Sort of ruins the shopping experience. As does the TERRIBLE music they have playing now, I really wish they would bring back the light-classical stuff they had years ago. Overall, good! read more

This is a pretty standard grocery store with a couple of nice features such as a well stocked beer and wine section. Rotisserie chicken we bought was moist and tender but not well seasoned and the skin was a little light. I like the availability of some regionally western products like Umpqua ice cream and Tillamook cheeses and yogurt. The prices were pretty low which earns a star from me. On the downside, our cashier barely acknowledged my existence and managed not to speak a word to me during checkout. A lot of frowny-faced teens on their breaks outside tell me that their rock-bottom prices are courtesy of rock-bottom wages. read more

One of the nicest grocery stores we ever been in. We stopped in here on our way through the area to pick up a few items. If you are traveling up to Canada this is a great place to pick up some wine and other essentials before you cross the border. The produce is beautiful. Their selections of beer and wine is very good. And if you like Huckleberries they have selections of Huck everything. Fun place to shop. read more

Excellent 24 hour market that has tasty Montana Jack's coffee in the morning for $1! I recommend the breakfast burritos, the biscuits & gravy, and the freshly-made maple bar donuts. There's an impressive selection of Montana microbrewed beers in stock at good prices. There's a good deli, an in-house bakery, and just about anything else you think you could find in a well-stocked supermarket. Good service from the helpful staff, too! They have free WiFi, but the bandwidth is not so wide. I can get on and surf early in the morning, but have difficulty later in the day. read more

The fruit was rotten and the blueberry muffins we bought had a total of 1 blueberry in each muffin. The only thing I found delightful about this store was the very kind cashier Steve. He made this super 1 experience better, where as the food it's self was very disappointing. read more

We purchased garlic bread from the bakery a couple weeks back and there was mold all through it and couldn't tell because of the green seasonings until we bit into it, then a while later we decided to give them another chance got home looked at the bread looked fine and then went to take another bite and it was moldy on the inside. read more

Super 1 is the best grocery store around. I shop there several times per week. This morning I went in to buy some coffee. At the front entrance is noticed the holiday painting on the glass which reads 'jesus is the reason for the season'. Seriously? No matter whether I am Jewish or Muslim or atheist. Fantastic local grocery store. We were impressed with the organic and produce sections. Everything you could hope to pick up (including reasonably small package sizes for those in town for short stays) to stock a rental house with for a week of cooking. The one star knock reflects the limited personal goods section - hardly any sunscreen available and nothing over SPF50. read more

Fantastic selection of foods, with lots of local specialties. We give 10 stars to find a locally made sour kraut by a Hutterites Colony. My Beau is a fan of fermented foods so this was a huge treat for him. Actually it was so great, I even liked it! Sure wish we had this where we live! I went to Super 1 in Columbia Falls to grab supplies for my company's bbq we are having today. Grabbed everything on my list except for fruit bowls which weren't stocked (I saved them for last thinking they would be there when I was done with my other shopping). I went to grab a few and they still weren't there but there were stacks of boxes that were labeled melon fruit melody with grapes (exactly what I needed). I looked for help and was completely ignored by a couple of gals talking about their dogs. So I went to a checker (she is amazing and my favorite every time I go in there) and asked if there was someone who could help me. She called for produce and let the gals know I needed some fruit bowls. I was told that they need to make them so it would be a while. She called them back when I told here the boxes of fruit were just sitting there waiting to be emptied. She called back and told me help was coming. Thank goodness. Well when two gals showed up (one was Becky) I didn't even finish my sentence before she very rudely told me that they "were short staffed and when they are out, they will be out". When I went to state that I hadn't completed my question, she said "this is done" and turned and walked away. I was completely shocked at that. Going forward I will take my business to Smiths. I will never go back to Super 1. Not because they didn't have the fruit stocked, but because of the way I was treated. I not spend my company's money (we shop there ALOT for company supplies) at a place like that. We spend so much money there on a monthly basis, that I am sure Smiths will very much appreciate the business. I did end up going to Smiths for my fruit, which wasn't stocked either, but when I asked for assistance, I had four fruit bowls three minutes later. That is quality customer service. read more

me and my family have been shopping at super one for years. tonight I went in to get some groceries and lotion because I have pretty bad dry skin. I work in a restaurant so I wash my hands a lot. so I go in as per usual go to get my usual lotion. they don't have it in stock. ok no problem so I put a pea sized drop of a lotion i am not familiar with on my hands and went about shopping. I have to test and see if I am allergic to it or not, as to me having very sensitive skin. i am indeed allergic to it so I just go to cash out. as I am walking towards the checkout lane, a man approaches me saying he is store security. and as I have used said lotion I have to buy it or I am banned from the store. I tried to explain my skin sensitivity he would not listen just simply said buy it or I am banned. seeing how I did use the lotion and he is just doing his job I didn't make a big deal over it. but I am very unsatisfied with this costumer service threatened to be banned from my was favorite store over a drop of lotion. me and my family of six will never spend another penny at any super one. read more

To an earlier post: there are two grocery stores in Whitefish. No Albertson's. There's a Super 1 and a Safeway. Both good. Best prices, by far, at Super 1. Columbia Falls Super 1 will have most anything you might want. I shop there and find the staff to always be friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. My dad and stepmom spend half the year in Montana and the other half in California. When they first started spending more time in Montana, the number one issue was finding products at the grocery store that were easy to find in California, but virtually non-existent in Montana. We camped for a week at Glacier Park and ran low on supplies. Decided to take the 30 minute drive to Columbia Falls to shop here and stock up on supplies before heading to East Glacier. This is a great place to shop, affordable, 24/7 and highly recommend getting food and camping supplies here rather than in the park as it is much cheaper. Also would recommend making a stop here before heading to East Glacier as shopping, food, and groceries are very limited on that side of the park. read more

I live just a few short blocks from Super One, and I am on a first name basis with most of the employee's there because I am there it seems like once a day if not more. They have gone out of their way to help me, because I am, "disabled", and in the winter I am nervous about falling in their parking lot. When they see me coming, they will bring an electric scooter out to my car or even lend me an arm to get safely into the store. Everyone is friendly and goes out of their way to make sure that you have a pleasant shopping experience in the store. Their prices are reasonable and their products are great! I am constantly calling their corporate office with positive feedback and decided to write a review here as well. read more

As a 5 year customer I've been impressed with the smiles and effort of the super 1 staff, but I have had a couple problems with the deli. Nothing racist just tired of standing in long lines and it seems like the employees sometimes purposely chose the people behind you so they don't have to serve you at times. It's quite offensive. But other than that this is a nice store. I will continue to shop at super 1 just not the one in Columbia falls. read more

at about 7:30pm june 24th 2017, our generator and a 5 gallon gas can got stolen from our red f150 truck in super one columbia falls parking lot! we called the police immediately, however super one would not help us,refusing to even look at the videos until 7am tommorow morning.the "manager" on duty wasnt trained for emergencies and didnt have the capacity to effectively run the store or access videos on a saturday night in case of emergencies. essentially we were told that the store manager "hope", would be in, in the morning to look at them at 7 a.m. _____________________________________________________7am- sunday june 25th went into talk with hope the manager about it and she completely disregard it saying i "may" look at them today i dont know and admittingly saying they do not train managers in the capacity to actually run the store in an emergency on saturday nights. ie if a car was stolen,child lost etc they still would do nothing. i will never shop there again. she even went on to exclude us from the videos even though we may know them. they showed no care whatsoever to us and our family and our children this situation has been extremely heartbreaking and we have been let down by everybody who could essentially have easily looked at those videos if they would have just cared. i have never been treated so badly in my whole life when it comes to customer service the customer comes first especially if something that expensive is stolen and you have the key to possibly finding it for this family and you choose not to that is ruthless. read more
