Reasonably priced, small grocery store that had everything we needed. Fruit was delicious.

We stopped in for one thing and one thing only - bear spray. It's a small and basic store - but it will hit the spot if you are in a pinch for necessities and the bear spray was a MUST have for us. The price was cheapest in town here and the lady inside was full of advice for how to use it and how not to get eaten by a grizzly bear while hiking. Much appreciated! read more

This place is kind of expensive for a grocery store. But, for a grocery store within striking distance of a National Park, it's pretty cheap. Decent selection of food, above average selection of beer. A-OK firewood prices. Very expensive ice. (I'd recommend buying ice a bit further out) read more

Great place to stop on your way to Glacier! Get your food here where the price is right, rather than overpriced in the park. Hot fried chicken or deli sandwiches are perfect to take into the park for picnics. There's also amazing ice cream! read more

Service. Yesterday we were served by a really nice young man who chatted to my tall 17 y old son and was super friendly. Today at the till we were served by young women with baby on the way who seemed nice initially. We bought 100 dollars worth of food and snacks and I wanted that in two separate bags as my family of 4 is staying in two rooms at the lodges. I asked twice to give me two bags and " we will pack ourselves" . These requests were ignored. Eventually the girl packed everything in one bag and I asked again to give a second bag and said we will repack quickly ( I was with my two teenage kids and we wanted to walk out with two bags) . To what she replied " sorry, i cannot , i have other customers waiting is a queue. Slightly stunned, I looked at the queue, there was only one person waiting! I would like the girl to know that putting other customers needs before mine is not a great service to me as a customer. read more

Small market near Glacier, has a great selection of foods for such a small size. Also a good selection of beer. Everyone was friendly, and it looked like the deli would be worth a stop for some fried chicken. read more

I have been into the store several times through August. First time was fine and dealt with a older lady cashier with grey hair. About a week later same cashier but this time she was unfriendly without a hello or thank you through the check out process. Next time with with a younger guy cashier and he was super polite. Last time (today) was with the older lady again. As soon as I walked in I looked around for a hand held basket to use. I asked her if they had them. She said shortly they are right there. And pointed to the left of where I came in. As I was reaching for one she said in a stern voice "That will be $50". I grabbed it and turned around and said "Your not worth it". She said "Fine try to carry it by hand then" in a smug tone. I put the basket back and walked out. I don't know what this ladies problem is? I had only been polite and friendly with her the times I have dealt with her before. Warning to Manager. This lady is driving out customers discriminately. We stayed in Coram over a long weekend. It is the small town between Hungry Horse and West Glacier. Canyon Foods was the cheapest supermarket nearby. The next closest supermarket is Super 1 in Columbia Falls 7 miles Southwest on Hwy 2. Their prices seemed similar. For example, a box of Western Family brand granola bars cost the same at both. Canyon Foods had a nice wine aisle where it was HARD to find an expensive bottle. They also have a large selection of local Montana beers in the refrigerated display area. They are an actual supermarket selling bakery products, vegetables, fruit, hardware, travel supplies, home products, meat, and prepared foods. Canyon Foods does not sell travel-sized bottles of shampoo, however--only regular sizes. This supermarket is the size of a Trader Joe's yet offers a wide variety of goods. The parking lot had plenty of parking spots and there was a good amount of customer traffic when I went during a weekend afternoon. Canyon Foods is located off Hwy 2 near the main intersection in the charming town of Hungry Horse. It's easy to spot. read more

Great little grocery just south of Glacier. Had all the basics you would need- eggs, milk, delicious fresh made bread, fruits & veggies- a bit limited but still not bad. Friendly clerks. Prices were reasonable Would recommend!! read more

From West Glacier only 8 miles. Our local go-to Super Market. Good selection. Good prices. Video rental - very low prices and low late fees. They even take Apple Pay. Not bad for a small market. If you need a laundromat it is right next door. EZ parking. Middle of Hungry Horse. read more

This little grocery store makes you want to live in this town. We just love it. Cant believe how a little town on the path has a place with such low low prices and carry great produce and meat. They have a great selection of items just like anywhere else. And theres always great deals so you can bulk up on some things. We fed a family of 6 off this place for cheap while we were in town for a week or so better than we could at home. Staff are really friendly and helpful and the cashiers chat you up a bit. A real small town feel. read more

They had almost everything we needed for our Glacier trip needs!! Reasonable prices and very convenient for us, on highway 2. Stopped several times for ice, refreshments, and simple supplies and were always in and out without much delay. Also, conveniently located next to the post office so we could send post cards at the same stop! read more
