I had to have my bridesmaids completely curl my hair again, which was stressful because it was time consuming. For the price charged, I felt like the hairstyle should've lasted longer than it did. I felt that whenever I showed Karla my hair inspirations on Pinterest, she more often than not told me how it wouldn't work on me, rather than try to help me achieve the hairstyle I wanted. It was a bit demotivating. Overall, I did like my makeup, but I had to make tweaks to really be happy. My hair had to be completely redone. I saw her photos and felt she could replicate the style I envisioned for myself. Setting up my appointment was fairly easy and she seemed personable via text message. Now it is my duty to report on my entire experience. We had a bit of a setback with our timing. Our time didn't start until nearly 20minutes post schedule, but hey things happen. Moving on. Our time was a pleasant experience. She listened intently to what I wanted and offered suggestions. She educated me on products and what to do and what not to do to create certain looks. She was extremely attentive and knew her craft well. I feel our personalities vibed well too. Like chatting with an old friend. I'm big on the small things. I mean there's a certain expectation from the consumer's point of view when you pay for services--well what stands out is those little steps taken to ensure you're satisfied. Perla definitely did that. She made sure my neck was extra comfortable In the wash bowl (she would fluff the towel beneath me numerous times). she made sure I had plenty of wine to get thru our visit. she gave me an awesome scalp massage! She even hands-on taught me how to curl my hair vs leaving me up shit's creek without a paddle. she comp'd me a treatment to make up for our time conflict earlier. And that really meant something to me -- that she apologized and addressed the issue with me directly and offered to resolve it. Integrity is the word that comes to mind. She even guaranteed her color work by a revision within a certain time frame if I felt it warranted. And the end result--a beautiful cut and color that I truly loved. As Perla went over her pricing structure, which was better than at least half of the stylists I did test runs with. I could start by saying how friendly and professional Perla is and continue by saying how accommodating and knowledgeable about trends and products as well, but for me the most important thing is her raw talent.
