Negative 10 for this store! Chanel who works downstairs at the counter has not personality, very dry in the face, she forces a smile and this is from what I have observed, Joyce, she has a bland look, doesn't smile with customers and she does not make any eye contact while on the floor both females have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND VERY CONIVING INDIVIDUALS, I can't call them women nor ladies because they do not exemplify any of those lovely qualties and by the way, Rose at the Lancome counter is an elderly woman whose deceitful just like the other two female individuals. read more

The. WORST!! I came here a few days before graduating from grad school and I had a problem. A serious problem. During my celebratory trip to Puerto Rico, I'd gotten terrible sunburn on my forehead, and my skin started to resemble a cheap leather bag. It was cracking and peeling, and no amount of exfoliating or moisturizing was making my problem any better. I was willing to try just about anything, but I needed to see what my options were. I stopped by the MAC counter inside Macy's and encountered some of THE RUDEST, most stank-acting people I have ever had the misfortune of crossing paths with. I must've stood there for 10 minutes before someone acknowledged me (with a huff and an eyeroll, no less. Sorry I'm making you do your job, boo.). I told/showed the guy my problem and asked him what I could do. He put some foundation on my face that was no where near either of my complexions (burned or unburned!). It looked hideous and I asked what other options were available. He impatiently informed me that they also sell bronzer. I ask him if I could try it and he proceeds to cake my face in gold dust... then he just walked away. He never checked back with me to see how I liked it or if I needed anything else. Instead, I found him gossiping nearby with another sales person. It's a good thing he didn't ask me if I liked it because I was horrified when I looked in the mirror. I looked like the love child of King Midas. Worst of all, the shit WOULD NOT COME OFF. I don't know if that bronzer contained bits of Gorilla Glue or what, but I used 3 or 4 of the makeup remover wipes and wiped until my face started to get raw and it still looked like I had barely wiped any of it off. I don't care if they were giving away the makeup, there is no way in hell you'd ever catch me at this counter ever again. read more

Shayla was amazing!! She helped me and my Mom today. She was attentive, and so incredibly patient. She quickly understood exactly the color palette we were interested in and recommended just the right items--without once trying to sell us things we didn't want or need. AND her makeup was gorgeous! Okay. I lied. I have been here.. you are secretly hidden in the Macy's. I went for false eyelashes. Takes 10-15 minutes. But the three of you kept taking other customers who wanted full on make overs. I know I'm only spending $24 on 2 pair of lashes, but c'mon. Ring me up, and put them on! So I waited... I tweeted. I facebook'd. It took me almost 57 minutes to get service. And 2 of those girls didnt buy $hit. Lousy customer service. And once I did get service, the guy did one eye, then pawned me off to another girl... my lashes were crooked. I went home and redid them myself. fail fail fail. read more

The customer service at this MAC counter can be summed up in two words: Piss Poor. Guaranteed they've lost tons and tons of business based on this alone. I know that I for one, will not be returning. Ever. Since I was in the area, I decided to stop by quickly to pick up a new lipstick and lip liner (of which the Macy's in DC was sold out). I located the lipstick and liner in the tester section and then the hunt for an associate began. No less than 3 associates passed me while I stood there waiting for assistance and not a one asked me if I needed any help. It's okay if they were busy with other customers but at least acknowledge my presence! No "hello"; no "Someone will be with you shortly"; nothing. I might as well have been invisible. So, I headed over to the cashier section hoping that would get me some service faster. Well, I was wrong. After 15 minutes , I was done. I walked out and decided to take my business elsewhere. My recommendation is that you avoid this MAC counter at all cost. Even if it's out of the way to visit another, I promise you, it will be worth it. read more

Horrible customer service. It's bad enough they're located in PG Plaza, but that's no excuse for piss poor service. The MAC counter is located inside the Macy's and I've been there numerous occasions and never once have I received a different outcome. Once, someone greeted me, any other time they try to flutter around like they are so busy even when there are hardly any customers there. Most times I'm there to buy products, not "try stuff on". So I just need to be rung up and be sent on my way. Depending on what the product is I'll either go to the Clinique counter or visit the MAC store in Pentagon City or Macy's/Nordstrom in Pentagon City. Also, by judging the makeup on the employees faces, it looks like clown make up and I would never have them apply anything for me. It's overly excessive and doesn't compliment the person wearing it. Like if MAC is promoting a new shade or collection... everyone can't wear the same shade of blue and red. I want to leave looking like a lady not a clown hopping into the main ring or someone's birthday cake -____- The one time an employee actually acknowledge me there, he suggested this blush, it was the worst shade of red to offer someone who is fair skinned. I told him it looked like I was slapped in the face, he tried to convince me otherwise, I declined and I'll stick to the MAC in Pentagon City for tips. read more

Just rude! I asked the lady to help me find a lip color similar to what I showed her. All she said was "every thing we have is out". She wasn't even interested in helping me. She didn't even want to help me to begin with considering the exprssion on her face when she walked over. Won't be getting my business! read more

It is true that the customer service is a hit or a miss. I had gone in the evening while I was waiting for my train. The male employee told me he would get to me while I stood there, but he never did. I could pick up that he had no interest in helping. This was post 6 PM. The female employee there actually assisted me after she finished with the former customer. She was honest about the products and told me I only needed to get one. Horrible Horrible Horrible customer service!!!! as i went to the counter yesterday there was only one or two other customers besides me. After waiting for someone to assist me i walked over to the register and was ignored for at least 15minutes. During this time one associate looked dead in my eyes and not once asked me did I need help, and then she went on break. Then , still waiting, the other two associates made eye contact with me and walked off to help another customer who came to MAC waaay after i was there.. After waiting and being ignored for over 15 minutes I left and WILL NOT return to that particular mac store. I would rather just order my products online. read more

I have only worn full makeup once in my life and Stephanie made it easy for me to understand what I needed and how to apply it. I had reservations to get my make-up done for my birthday. I waited for a half hour and then left. The associates seemed as if they were annoyed that I asked when someone will be servicing me, seeing as though I made an appointment and no one helped me. Not only was my time wasted, they increased the price from $50.00 to $60.00. Not a fan of this location and the lack of customer service. Will not be going back. read more

I won't be returning to this MAC location again. I stopped by the MAC counter on a Saturday morning before the crowd arrived and I still ended up waiting for about an hour. The "makeup artists" look like clowns (at least majority of them). They all look different but still look alike. Long weaves, circus makeup, tight clothes, waste cinchers, and high heels. I was actually waiting for 1 rep, when another (Ingrid) spotted me and made her way over to my side of the counter. This was my fault for not waiting for the rep I wanted. She was pushy & only focused on making the sale. While she was applying makeup to my face, she was looking around...searching for her next sale. I told her to go on and I'll look around some more since I knew she had other customers she wanted to tend to. Well gee, I didn't have to tell her twice...she high tailed it out of there and to the next sale. I got to speak with the rep I initially wanted and she was sweet and courteous, totally opposite from the one who worked on my eyebrow. When Ingrid saw I was being taken care of by the other rep she pulled her to the side and told her "that's my client". I am now stuck with Ingrid because she colored in my brows -___- The rep told me to wait for Ingrid since she started. I waited about 20mins to a half hour for Ingrid to come back and assist me. She was busy working with every customer she could get her hands on. Mind you, other reps were not busy but couldn't help me since Ingrid "claimed" me. Long story short I purchased about $200 from mac that day but I'll be returning it because Ingrid was rude and greedy. You'd think since I spent so much $$$ I'd be treated kindly. I'll stick to purchasing online. read more
