Naturally I made a reservation for myself too. For our Lip Lab experience, I made a reservation for Lip Layers which included a custom liptick and a custom lip gloss. When we got to our reservation we basically had the place to ourselves. Right before we arrived, a private party was ending. I didn't know what I wanted to create but ultimately for the lipstick I wanted to recreate one of my favorite Kat Von D colors. To start off your reservation you meet with an employee who explains the experience. First you choose your shade then choose your finish (satin, balm, matte or sheer), add choose your scent (mango, vanilla, peppermint, pomegrante and rose), after that choose your case (sage, penny, copper etc). For the last step, you name your product and they engrave it. I love my products. Great size and value. The product is long lasting. You won't be disappoinnted. This was fun. The staff was really helpful and friendly. I loved how they work with you to get your perfect color. In the event that you want to order again, they give you a card with your fomula. Lastly if you don't want a customized item they sell ready made item likes from lip care, lip liner, lip stick, lip balm, blur cheek sticks and brushes. I went to the shop 15 min before my appointment, and the technician had no record of my appointment. I then waited an hour total for the matter to get sorted, and the technician could not take me on that day. I was in a rush because I was coming out of a hectic time at work and wanted these done for an event, so wasting an hour wasn't easy to do. The technician had me contact the owner of the shop on my own because there was no record of my appointment -- turns out she hadn't written my time down. Unfortunately this was not surprising as she had seemed a little absent-minded on text. While the owner offered a refund, she wasn't able to offer that as it was purchased through Groupon. It was the cherry on top to my frustration to have her offer a solution that wouldn't work and I had to do my own research to come to that conclusion. I ended up getting the appointment so I wouldn't be wasting my money, but if I had other options I would've asked for refunds or discounts. The owner did apologize, but it took way too long and shouldn't have happened in the first place. The technician was sweet though and offered an alternate service, but it made no sense to spend an additional $40.

The technician didn't put any sort of protective eye shields underneath my eyes or follow any real procedure for the removal. It just felt like she applied solution and was even yanking the more stubborn ones out with my own lash. I've gotten lash extensions removed on several occasions, and this is the one time where it burned like crazy. I always keep my eyes closed and know to do so; but the technician was literally lifting my eyelid up as she was removing my lashes and getting solution or shampoo in. She said that extension removal is always painful and burns, which is literally not true at all. I've always had generally easy and pain free experiences with the whole process. Would not trust this place with lash application after all that in the slightest.
