I made an appointment since this place is always very busy, as I am parking my car I get a call to confirm my appt, I tell the lady that called that I'm right outside about to come in she says ok see you soon. I go inside, and I am told I have to wait because the person ahead of me who btw walked in same time as me, was late for her appt so I have to wait. I find it rude and disrespectful that I was on time but was told to wait. I waited 20 mins for my appt since allegedly they were booked and no one else could see me. I requested to speak to a manager and the girl that waxed me said she would get Celest who never came out to talk to me. I left my email since I still wanted to complain about my experience and she never called or email me. This isn't how you treat customers who pay way too much for EWC services. I moved into the neighborhood about 3 years now, and this place is great. I love how close I am to it. I get the full Brazilian wax with a tummy strip wax package, saves me money, and gets me about 3 to 6 free ones depending on how many months I get it for. I either see Danielle and Keiko (she's hilarious). I like that they talk to me as they're working on me, cause it takes my mind off the pain, lol. read more

My ONLY problem before this experience was my underarm hair would grow very fast. I let it grow out for 2.5 weeks and went in for my 1st free wax. I thought waxing Would slow down the growth and it would look nicer . Omg what a huge mistake!!!!!! . I went in for my wax . Very puntual , very welcoming . I lay on the table . The girl is nice and made me feel confortable . I was so nervous I won't deny it . She starts and my 1st words were OMGGGGG the wax is HOT ! She goes on to tell me it's normal , and everyone reacts that way . She waxes 2-3 times each under arm ( for hair growing in different directions ). I left very happy . NOT EVEN 2 hours later I was DYING ! My underarms started to itch SEVERELY . The next morning I look under my underarms , their so red and the itch got worse. I'm about 2 weeks into my experience . My underarms are BLACK , with wax burn marks . My underarms look so DIRTY! My underarms used to be very white. I made a HUGE MISTAKE ! I am so mad at myself . Very disappointed in this location! Took my daughters friend here and we were Rudely told that she was to young to get services (14) Really! She wasn't to young on her last 4 visits there and she wasn't to young to take her money for the package of some sort that she bought from them! I came in this past weekend for my first Brazilian with Daniella and let's just say it was quite an experience. She was great, very calm and quick she really made me feel comfortable being so vulnerable. She was talking to me the whole time so it wasn't awkward at all! I was surprised of how quick everything was and the results were incredible. I had no pain afterwards, it was as if nothing had happened! The girl I go to is always a 10. My rating is based off the front desk ladies. I was running very late to my appointment due to a family member being in the hospital. As I was on my way stuck in traffic I figured to just reschedule so there are no problems. Apparently this place wants to charge not $10 but $25 because of not having a 24hour notice. 24 hour notice for a wax is literally impossible, especially if an emergency happens. Clearly European wax center does not respect their costumers. I don't think I will continue and will make sore yelp and social media is aware of my situation that happened. I have visited European Wax Center in New Jersey before and was excited when I saw this location opening up near me. Especially since my former wax spot was further away, although awesome with their services I wanted something closer to home. My first time at this location I was greeted by the front desk staff and given their promotions. They also asked if I was using any acne medication which I was and looked up to see if it was ok that I get waxed. For the medicine I was using I couldn't use it a week before and after the waxing service. So they kindly booked me an appointment for the following weekend. Thalia the manager also explained why they took these precautions (which turned out I didn't need to after I spoke to my dermatologist seeing as how I was waxing down below. But I'm glad this establishment took that precaution, to not only keep me safe but heir credibility). I have seen Carolina twice and loved her services! Unfortunately my most recent visit she wasn't in and I saw Victoriya. Both ladies are quick but thorough and go over any areas if needed and not a one shot deal type of thing. Adrianna A is absolutely amazing. She is super sweet and makes you feel so comfortable through out the whole process. This is my third time coming to her and she literally breezes through my whole forest of hair on my bikini and full legs in 15 minutes. soft wax hurts but they use the hard wax and it really does make a difference. She does not miss one spot either. she makes sure the wax isn't too hott, doesn't hesitate, and sells me the products that I know I need. My hair has literally been growing less, so I think I'm good coming every 6 weeks now instead of 4.. If you could book with her, do it.. you won't regret it. read more

Daniella was very rude and although she was aware of what she was doing, she continued to create an uncomfortable environment and if you're not new to waxing, you know that most waxers will try to make it as comfortable as possible. She was told me what to expect. She explained to me how to take care of the area post wax. I ended up purchasing a 12-pack. I've been back twice since then. And my next appointment is in a few weeks. I have to say it's been 4 months that I have been charge the incorrect amount. I have spoken to the manager Adriana about 6 times already, to a point where she talks to me like I am an idiot now. She tells me there is a cliché in system and I will see a credit on my card in a few days. It's been four months now and I am still getting charge the same amount with no CREDIT. I've called the corporate office, I have yelled, screamed, I have been patient and nothing has happened till this day. It's unfortunately because Con was great with her service. I stopped going along with my sisters for over a month now and I'm still getting charged. She ensured I knew all benefits of being a client of European Wax and highlighted special promotions for first timers. She even gave me samples of their body wash, polish, and lotion! Adrianna C was my waxer. She talked me through the process and was also very friendly. They use hard wax (wax is placed on your skin and when it hardens, it's pulled off) and it wasn't painful AT ALL (I got a Brazilian). Overall awesome experience. I will be returning. When I called to schedule an appointment I was not told they have new rules where you have 9 minutes window to get AND scan some barcodes to get checked in. I got here 9 minutes late and they refused taking me in. I was told it was the manager who booked my appointment who didn't even bother to advise me on new rules they have. I've been coming here since 2017 and not for once I was taking in on time. Every time I had to wait at least 30-40 mins for someone to take me in. I was 8 months pregnant and I had to wait for over an hr for someone to take me in. I asked to use the bathroom after but I was told it's broken and doesn't work. When they don't know how to book their appointments properly, you have to wait. But when you running late from work exhausted, they tell you to F**k off. Mary who I spoke to was super nasty and had her mask off for the most part which goes against their covid policy. Absolutely loved my exp here ! I went in early for my appointment and they still saw me right away. I wasn't new to waxing but it's been a while (what can I say having kids u don't have much time to pamper urself). I went with Christina and she was absolutely amazing ! She made me feel more than comfortable and was through and quick. I literally was out of there in 10 mins or less for my Brazilian and she got everything. Less than a year ago I went for my first Brazilian wax with Andraia. I'd literally never had anything waxed other than my eyebrows my entire life. When I say I was terrified...I mean.....terrrrified. The moment Andraia greeted me at the front desk immediately I felt more at ease. In fact the entire staff at the Howard Beach location is stellar. They are super welcoming and friendly and because I couldn't shut up about how scared I was they all put me at ease. Fast forward to the experience. I am still surprised at how NOT horrible this all was. Did the wax burn? No. Did the wax being pulled off my skin tickle? Also no. lol. However, not only did Andraia make me feel totally fine with what I'm sure many would say is a vulnerable and potentially embarrassing "weird" position to be in if you catch my drift here, but she has the most gentle disposition and touch that it really wasn't even painful. She explains everything she does before she does it, which really helps so much. I'm still in shock at what an amazing experience this was and still is each and every time I go back. I will never be a hairy beast again. I love all the ladies in the Howard Beach location! I would like to start by saying that my rating does not reflect my waxer at all. Adriana is fabulous! She always has a smile on her face and has always made me feel comfortable. However, I don't know what happened to the old manager Thalia. She was the sweetest woman you could ask for. Always greeted me with a smile, knew my name, what service I needed, and constantly asked me about work and my family. The new manager is not friendly at all, barely lifted her head from the computer to greet me. So I just got my first wax EVER and i decided to go to the HOWARD BEACH location and sadly i did not have a great experience. The ladies at the front desk were very nice but Yana did my waxing and she was rude and not comforting at all. Of course my nerves were going because it was my first time, but the waxer didn't help and honestly just made things worse. She made things very uncomfortable and once we were done she basically rushed me out before i can even get myself together after the experience i just had. Maybe she can learn some tips from the ladies at the front desk because they were very nice and welcoming. I highly recommend you don't go to Yana for your first time.
