I got a classic lash extension set through Groupon. The product itself was fine - I enjoy my lashes. However, the service was really frustrating. I went to the shop 15 min before my appointment, and the technician had no record of my appointment. I then waited an hour total for the matter to get sorted, and the technician could not take me on that day. I was in a rush because I was coming out of a hectic time at work and wanted these done for an event, so wasting an hour wasn't easy to do. The technician had me contact the owner of the shop on my own because there was no record of my appointment -- turns out she hadn't written my time down. Unfortunately this was not surprising as she had seemed a little absent-minded on text. While the owner offered a refund, she wasn't able to offer that as it was purchased through Groupon. It was the cherry on top to my frustration to have her offer a solution that wouldn't work and I had to do my own research to come to that conclusion. I ended up getting the appointment so I wouldn't be wasting my money, but if I had other options I would've asked for refunds or discounts. The owner did apologize, but it took way too long and shouldn't have happened in the first place. The technician was sweet though and offered an alternate service, but it made no sense to spend an additional $40. read more

It's gonna be a no from me... Came in for a simple extension removal and it was easily one of the worst experiences doing it. The technician didn't put any sort of protective eye shields underneath my eyes or follow any real procedure for the removal. It just felt like she applied solution and was even yanking the more stubborn ones out with my own lash. I've gotten lash extensions removed on several occasions, and this is the one time where it burned like crazy. I always keep my eyes closed and know to do so; but the technician was literally lifting my eyelid up as she was removing my lashes and getting solution or shampoo in. She said that extension removal is always painful and burns, which is literally not true at all. I've always had generally easy and pain free experiences with the whole process. Would not trust this place with lash application after all that in the slightest. read more

I paid almost $170 and the application was awful. I've been getting my lashes done every 2-3 weeks for over a year. I thought i'd try a new spot closer to home instead of driving to Williamsburg. My tech was super sweet and nice but her application was the worst. My eyes were actually in pain afterwards. She kept nipping my eyes and I asked why and its because she knew she had glued my lashes together and she was trying to separate them. After the service I asked for the wand brush and I tried to brush them and the brush actually got stuck on both eyes. Thats a bad sign if you cant even brush them. The glue felt like tiny rocks and the lashes were applied pretty far down from the base. I only had them on for a week and had to have them removed because of how bad the glue clumps were cutting my eyes. Also the tech didn't mention the 10% fee they tack on if you use card. She also didn't have the option of mink lashes which is kinda crazy being its a lash place and you should give people the option. Her pre made fans were cheap and it showed. Maybe she'll get better but she shouldn't be charging people these prices when she is clearly still learning. read more

The rating is mostly for service. I booked threading, shaping and tinting. Threading was unavailable however indicated as a service in their website. They card machine was down but an atm was conveniently located which felt like a switch up. I waited 20 mins after my schedule time for an appointment and I don't think this is very poc friendly although in the neighborhood. So I don't even know how to explain this experience. But it was more or less exhausting. I will say it began as a miss understanding and ending up more or less frustrating even when I tried my hardest to let things go. This basically began because I attempted to search for a more convenient lash provider in Brooklyn rather than my usual spot in the city. I didn't want to fight traffic pay for parking and other requirements that usually come along with my usual spot. Therefore, I googled lash providers which led me to Groupon and I stumble upon Lash Addict among numerous other random places. I bought the groupon and tried to book the appointment although it showed availability for the following day, it greyed today's date so thought it was a glitch. I went to call them but it was to, early since they were still closed, no worries I'll call when they open. Still browsing I went to yelp to see more photos and lash options. I the clicked the link for their website to see what else they offered and low and behold, boom appointments wide open so I booked one, I even payed an extra just $25 to hold it. I tried to confirm and let them know what I did but got no answer. Someone called back after we played phone tag a little bit till we finally spoke. I explain the situation she said she understood we were good for 5:30pm. She even called me back and requested that I come in earlier with my friend that was doing the same services, I declined and requested to keep my original appointment. When I arrived the lash tech refused to see me. Imagine our shock, we went back fourth for more than hour boy was I confused. She started telling us we couldn't change our minds, we bought the groupon the day before, she's only an employee the boss said she couldn't do them. I'm standing there confused because I thought I was being pranked at the time I literally just spoke to this woman a couple hours ago and you begged me to come in earlier. All of a sudden a voice from the back pops up and says "hey whats going on?" So I explained the situation, she explained that the policy states groupon cannot be used on the same day. If that would've been told to me during my first call my night would of ended better. After all was said and done the boss called apologized I got over it kaitlen was so sweet my friend and I said water under the bridge. I even joke to rude lady and told her don't poke me in the eyes while she's doing my lashes for revenge. At 7:30 another client came in for browsI told her don't worry about it go ahead and do the client because kaitlen was still tending to my friend. During my session all of a sudden the tech starts rambling to kaitlen who by the way is having a great conversation with my friend and goes "you know that we got a group text about clients and we are employees" and so on. At this point I'm laying there thinking we are 3 hours past this give it up please . Finally complete but she begins arguing with me to take photos seriously then telling me hurry up because the boss will want to know why there still there so late and she lives so far. I'm like miss we are here because you couldn't explain the policy correctly at 12pm then you start 2 hours later when I finally did show up furthermore I came to Lash Addict for convenience but I was there from 5:30 pm till 10:00pm ridiculous. TO TOP IT OFF MY LASHES ARE HORRIBLE! STIFF TIGHT ON MY EYELIDS AND CLUMPY! UNEVEN LIKE THEY WHERE CUT! TALK ABOUT A WAIST OF TIME DIDN'T EVEN LEAVE WITH BOMB A** LASHES!! I booked this place to do my lashes at 10:30am the same day for a 1pm appointment. I paid an 85 dollar deposit which I thought was a bit much for a deposit but I knew I was going to make this appointment. I decided to try somewhere new! I get there on time to a locked door and some guy inside telling me they where closed. I had to send an super aggressive email telling them to send me my money back now. If I didn't send any email im pretty sure she would of kept my deposit. THEY SEND ME AN EMAIL AT 1:10pm TELLING ME MY 1pm APPOINTMENT IS CANCELED AFTER I WAS OUTSIDE AND AFTER I EMAILED HER SAYING SEND ME MY MONEY NOW. I will never try to support this place again for multiple reasons. Their email apology was trash and their are way too many lash technicians to have a company not care about my time or my money. First off let me say how comfortable the entire staff made me feel. As a guy going into a place to get some waxing done it's pretty intimidating but they made me feel right at home. Pam was my water and she was spectacular! She made me feel so much at ease and helped calm me down. If I can give the eyebrow threading service a "0" I would! Ive been getting my eyebrows threaded for over 24 yrs and never in my life have I felt wronged after my eyebrow session. The lady (I wont call her out) was a joke and kept bragging about how long shes been doing eyebrows in India. She def was lying or delusional on how good she really was. My full face took less than 20 minutes and due to me in a rush I left without looking. Its fair to say I was also in a hurry because of my newborn and in addition the ac in the store wasn't even working at the time!! I got home and realized my entire right cheek, upper right lip and chin looked the same. How??!! Eyebrows looked the same and still needed to be cleaned! $40 on what?!! Im looking to Nair my entire face to get rid of the hair that was supposed to have been taken off. Rip off and honestly its theft! This business promised to deliver a service and fell short of it. Needed my lashes done and I made an appointment. I was scheduled for 7pm. I am a return customer because I do like the technicians work. I had no issues until yesterday. Prior to yesterday. I confirmed my appointment with the usual up front $35 payment. I was then texted saying they were running late and wanted to reschedule me to either the next day or to 30 min later. I chose the later time because I was already in the area getting my nails done. I get there early and check in the tech looks surprised saying you have an appointment with who. I am like with you that I paid for. Their policy is that you lose your deposit if you are late or are a no show for an appointment. What happens when your establishment is the issue. It gets better. I go outside and I say I will wait even longer for service call me I write my # down. I also point to my car and say I am right around the corner please alert me when you want me to come in. She says ok. I wait. I text the # that called me about my appointment earlier to get a reply that says this is the call center not a reply line to basically stop replying to it. So I apologize and wait again. I then walk in to see the tech ready to close. So if I did not walk in at that moment I would of been sitting in my car like an idiot. I was understandably upset I demanded my $ back. I felt this treatment was unnecessary I always treated this young lady well tipped her well and felt if she claimed she couldn't reach me by phone like she claimed she could of stepped put the shop and looked for me because I showed her that I was 3 cars down parked outside the shop. I was not a new customer. I have referred 4 clients there and will now tell them not to use this establishment. I have asked for a refund. Lets see if that happens. The tech was also rude wanting to go home because most times I go there she is the only one in there . I was not offered any service so here is this review. Let's see if I get my money back that I was promised. If not I work in Law enforcement and will report this establishment to the proper authorities. read more
