Went in for a spa day: massage, facial & spa pedicure. It was the worst massage I've ever gotten in my life. The massage therapist was clearly untrained. She didn't focus on one area at a time or typical areas of tension. Pulled on my arms and legs in unnatural uncomfortable positions. The facial was semi decent but there were no extractions, eyes were not covered, nothing was explained. They get 2 stars because the spa pedicure was spectacular. Seems like is a nail salon with a massage room and they just pull a nail tech to provide spa services. Never gain. read more

Definitely will not be returning. Especially for the amount of money they charge for what i recieved....Definitely not worth it. My husband surprised me with a facial and a Swedish body massage for my birthday. The facial was nice ,but the massage was subpar and the pics on their social media page are very deceiving. The rooms and very small and the bed side manner is slim to none!!! Throughout the entire massage I could not relax as all I could hear was loud conversations from the nail station a few feet away. No calming sounds or music....just loud voices the entire time. I could not relax at all.... The facial was decent but the massage was extremely underwhelming. Another important factor is that the person my husband booked due to her great reviews was not the person that performed the services. So no I would not recommended this spa to anyone. For $375 you can do way better. I'm only giving 2 stars because the facial was decent, otherwise it would be a solid one. read more

My Mom bought me a Gift Card for my birthday, to use at Serenity Day Spa! I got a Lymphatic Drainage Massage. Martha did my service and was wonderful. She was so sweet, gentle, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire experience. Taylor greeted me with a Mimosa upon my arrival. She is so friendly and polite, and assisted me as soon as I arrived. The room was dimly lit with candles, a soft sound machine was playing on repeat for the duration of my massage, and I felt amazing after my service. I highly recommend! Pricing was rather affordable as well, so I'll be returning monthly for the same service. read more

I really wanted to like this place, and had a great first impression. This was my first time going to Serenity and the first picture was my nails after my appointment of a dip powder manicure. Two weeks later, the polish is peeling, the polish changed color, and one of my nails already broke. I always get dip powder manicure and have them at least last me three to four weeks (without changing color, peeling, or breaking). I'm extremely disappointed. read more

Love this place! The workers are so kind and the environment is so relaxing. All the equipment seems state of the art and quality products. Also, the workers use a lot of precaution such as social distancing, barriers between nail tech and client, and have hand sanitizer to keep everyone safe. I got a gel mani pedi and the lady made my hands and feet feel beautiful!! I highly recommend this place and is definitely worth checking out! read more

They messed up my eyebrows. The lady who was supposed to do it was not in. I wanted my brows threaded and tinted. The woman they recommended to me could not thread brows so I needed to have them waxed. I told her that I normally get my brows tinted a dark brown and she insisted I needed black. She put the dye on for less than a minute a took it of immediately ( my usual girl at my usual spot leaves it on for at least 10 minutes). When I asked the girl to redo my tinting because there was no difference she was visibly angry. Do not ruin your brows and waste your money and your time here. read more

Definitely don't understand the high ratings. I so wanted to love this place because of its convenience. I tried going here a few times, to give it a fair chance. The spa is very very small. The service is ok. The receptionist was friendly each time I went. I have had manicures and pedicures which were fine. The spa treatments are overpriced and the massage therapists I have tried were "fair". The room was freezing cold each time. The place definitely does not deserve all of these high ratings, but I guess it's because I have a lot of spa experience and the service and quality​ here just does not meet the quality of services I am used to. But because it's the only spa in Howard Beach, the customers who love it here just don't know any better. read more

I had an excellent time here for my facial. I like to keep up with my monthly facials. The spa I was attending before closed down and I decided to give Serenity a shot. My experience here was amazing I got to feel comfortable as soon as I sat in the chair. The aroma in the room was amazing it cleared my nose & felt so refreshing. I've been to this spa several times over the years and I've never been disappointed. The staff is always friendly, do their job well and unlike other spas I've been to, they don't pester or pressure you to buy any products - its lovely! I've taken my mother here for Mother's Day for several years now, she gets multiple services and has always been very satisfied with each (and she's always very pleased with Mileidy). As a matter of fact I know she looks forward to this every year! The only thing that keeps this from a 5-star review for me was that I do agree with the other review that said the nail services can be a bit pricey. I also wish they had a website with a full list of services and packages and not just a Facebook page (although maybe this is what seems to keep it a neighborhood well kept secret). Maybe they should look into offering Groupons, I know I'd certainly go there even more often!! read more

Truly, excellent! I have been to many high-end spas and this by far was the best facial I ever received. Giovana (not sure of spelling) did an excellent job, knows her stuff, took her time and was very informative. No pushing products - just care about you skin and how to make you happy. I was very impressed and plan to use them as my go-to. will try other services I'm sure but the anti-agning facial was exceptional. I've been going to Bella to wax my eyebrows since 2015. She used to wax my eyebrows when she worked at Nail Pro and two other hair salons, I've never had a problem with her fitting me in her schedule.. until she started working for the owner of Serenity Day Spa. A few months back I called early in the day and made an appointment with the owner of the spa for Bella to wax my eyebrows at 5pm. I showed up at 4:45, the owner said "just sit and wait a while because you're early." I said "Yeah of course, no problem. Our appointment is for 5pm." Bella greets me hello when she sees me and asks the owner if she can take me now. The owner tells her no, and says take her later. Then I told the owner I was going to run out to my car to get something and she said "yeah actually if you can go somewhere and come back around 5:20 that would be perfect." I said okay, no problem. I paid the meter AGAIN because its hard to find parking over there btw, and walked through the door at exactly 5:20. I greet them and I'm left waiting. It's now 5:32pm, I've been sitting by myself in the front since I got there while the owner is in the back having full on conversation with the customers back there about her daughters, paying no mind to the waiting customer in the front. So I make my way back there and ask Bella if she's almost ready for me because my meter is about to expire. She tells me she's almost done. The owner didn't heat up the wax or set up anything so that Bella can wax my eyebrows really quick. But I sat in the front and waited about 5 more minutes and finally walked out at 5:40. I'd understand if I was walking in without an appointment, but if I have an appointment and you push back the time then please assist me at that time. Don't keep me sitting around waiting as if I have nothing to do. If I could give this owner 0 stars I would. Idk how she has any good reviews. read more
