I just want to take this time to mention the awesome experience I had at this MAC location. The manager Rae took the time on a busy afternoon to make my shopping experience so easy. I was in there attempting to buy some items for my wife for Christmas and for someone like myself that could be very overwhelming. Took my 85 year old mother here to get her makeup. She has had a problem finding makeup for her skin type. Sarah assisted us and asked lots of questions to make sure she understood her needs and choose what was appropriate for her. She took time to show her how to apply the makeup. She even wrote instructions on the makeup boxes to remind my mom on how to apply it. She made her honestly look 20 years younger . I am updating my review for this location from a few years ago, all thanks to Craig! Came in for a full face appointment for my engagement shoot... but got so much more. At first site, Craig doesn't look like your typical makeup artist but don't be fooled because he has over 10 yrs experience with the company. During the appointment, Craig gave me so many tips and tricks on how to apply makeup on my faceshape and which products work best, without being "sales-y." . He made sure I saw in the mirror HOW he applied everything, which made all the difference for someone like me who struggles with contour and eyemakeup placement. Worst customer service I've ever had Anywhere, ever... in my life...hands down! I anticipated this sort of tragedy would happen long before I even parked. I'm well versed in the usual rude demeanor at this location but at least they TRY to be empathetic to your cosmetic needs. As a MAC fan, I too TRY not to care about the service. But I do...we all do. Unfortunately, that's not always the case. Yesterday, I asked a familiar ass clown from my past MAC run-ins if he could help me with a foundation color. I showed him empty bottle of the color I use and like. I gave him ample info about what I want and don't and the level of coverage I needed. He walked away from me the entire time I was explaining....only to get me the replacement of the empty bottle I showed him. When I started to REITERATE myself, he sighed and seemed annoyed that I was bothering him. Suffering through his tasteless, sarcastic looks was too much to say the least. Then he lied and said he was wearing studio fix but totally had NO MAKEUP ON AT ALL! Huh? How weird are you? This suffering lasted about 3 minutes. This place is a complete joke! I had the misfortune of giving MAC a chance and wondered in here only to be met up with snappy and sarcastic customer service. I came in here with my sister and immediately an employee asked "Hi how can I help you, are you just looking or are you actually purchasing something?" ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I don't know who trained these employees, but for God's sake that is not how you greet a customer. Maybe, just maybe I could see where that came from if I consistently came in here before, looked around, and left, but for a first time customer that was severely insulting! I asked her where the make up setting sprays were and she led me to the only one that they carried. One star for their employees knowing where their products are located in the store. Here's the good part! When I touched the display, the female employee snapped at me and told me "ohh those are the displays, I told you to ask me if you wanted to purchase something so you don't have to touch them." TIP: Know what you are looking for before you come into this MAC location, and try not to touch their things without purchasing them unless you don't care if the employees get cranky with you. Maybe I'm just used to being spoiled by great customer service at Sephora, but I don't expect to be coming back to this location. I have never reviewed the LACK of service from a Mac store in my life...and to be a pro store just makes it worse. They seemed to be so fun and sweet when I had my "business attire" on a couple weeks ago, but have me just come from the gym and all of a sudden I get completely different treatment. I came here on a Saturday for my appointment which was the product purchase of at least $50. I could have chosen the option to pay for a private back room session but the $50 would only be for the makeup application. Only problem was that your makeup artist could leave to help other customers which I was fine with since I wasn't in a rush. However, my appointment was for 11 and I was seated at 11 but my makeup artist was too busy helping others that I didn't get started till 1130. This was my first time at this MAC and probably my last. The makeup artist did not do a good job. I asked for fake eyelashes she cut one of them really short (2/3 of my eye) and the other (3/4). By that time I was aggravated and I had to go! I was in that chair for 1.5 hours and I did not like how I looked. I ended up hating the eyelashes, my foundation just looked horrible, and one of my eyes had more of a smokey eye on one side than the other! I still ended up buying products but not the products that she used. I would definitely try to research and get a MAC artist that is awesome not mediocre. read more

I am a MAC user for years now and she greeted me warmly and asked if there was anything that she could help me find. Knowing the history of this location I reluctantly said yes I just need some fun new shades of lipsticks and eyeshadows. She showed me the hey sexy looks! And I immediately fell in love with them, they were exactly what I was looking for! I ended up buying a few shades from that look and some other shades to replace the ones I'm out of. All in all I'll only be buying if she's there! She's amazing at what she does and listens to you!!! it's rare to find such a great artist that listens to you and doesn't push products on you! I have a fierce Sephora addiction that I'd recently decided to supplement with MAC products because why not? I usually avoid MAC at department stores because it always looks so crowded, but on a Saturday evening at Town Square, I walked by this MAC store and it didn't look very busy so I went in. *sigh* Welp, I was less than impressed with a lot of things about this store. Even though it didn't LOOK busy, it certainly didn't feel that way when I was browsing. Basically, every tester for every product they sell is on one of four counters. All the testers are bunched together on these four counters; the lipsticks and the lip liners and glosses all packed closely together on one counter; face powders and foundations all packed together, etc. I suppose in writing, it seems as though this set-up makes sense. However, when you begin to imagine what it's like when there are 3+ customers trying to swatch eyeshadow on their hands-- it's just an extremely uncomfortable shopping experience. Customers are reaching over each other and bumping into each other; there are makeup smudges everywhere, broken lipsticks rolling on the ground... it's just a mess. Although, in all fairness-- there are just too many customers for the employees to follow around and clean up after. Oh, but speaking of too many customers-- It's unlikely that I'll ever return to this MAC store unless it's damn near empty. The employees who WEREN'T doing makeup were noticeably overwhelmed. They were scurrying around grabbing products for customers with frantic expressions on their faces. They ignored everyone they weren't helping at the time (none of that "I'll be with you in one moment" business!), and if a customer said, "excuse me", they would whip their heads around at them with wild exasperation on their faces. It's kind of funny when I think back on it, but at the time, I was like, "Really? Is this how you act every time your store gets a little busy?" It was somewhat understandable as they were obviously outnumbered, but it was still curiously unprofessional considering they should probably be used to dealing with more than one customer at a time. It's hard to say if they were nice or rude or snooty or anything-- all I can say is that they were... umm, noticeably overwhelmed. And when comparing the employees and environment to Sephora-- it's like night and day. Even when Sephora is crowded, I am still able to have a pleasant shopping experience. But from my experience, I've gathered that when this MAC store had more than 9 or 10 customers inside-- it's a disaster. read more

So I have to say this is my favorite MAC in Vegas for the following Reasons... 1. Its a Pro store. There for you can get the pro palette refills here and certain colors that department store counters will not carry. 2. I always get good service here. Even when the stores packed I'm always greeted and asked if I need help. (The Pro store in Caesar's leaves a lot to desired because I have been there on several occasions and most of the time don't really even get a hello... Just a little side note!) 3. The store is pretty big so it is usually easy to get to the counter and test product. I find that the people working in this store tend to be more knowledgeable then some of other locations around town. 4. They usually have everything in stock. Only twice have I been here and they not had a product, but note one was a limited edition lipstick (which I ended up purchasing in Los Angeles because none of the stores here had it) and the other was a super popular color (and again with this color no one in town had it in stock at the time.) I would suggest this location to anyone who wanted the MAC experience. I have had lashes, full face make-up etc etc etc done here and have always been happy. Note: if you want a full face you need and appointment. If you want lashes put on they will do it for free as long as you purchase MAC lashes. BTW--- cant believe I almost forgot to mention this! I know all my MAC girls know this but I will still plug B2M (Back to MAC) recycling program. So ladies if you like MAC keep your finished containers. 6 empties= a free lipstick or gloss. One of the best deals in town for special occasion and event makeup. For just 50$, one of their artists will make you look like you spent 200$ on a private makeup professional, plus you get a complimentary kickass mascara. (Which is the ONLY department store mascara I will ever use) My daughter and I have used this service twice in the past six months, and both times were highly satisfactory. Omi just did my daughter's homecoming makeup and she looked incredible! She had nothing but compliments from everyone - including random passing strangers! While I haven't had a bad experience with any of the artists; he's one I would definitely recommend. I recommend booking in advance, at least a month. Particularly around Prom/Wedding season. They're especially flexible and reasonable with time, but if you want it done right, book at least 2-3 hours before your event. Don't worry - your makeup will stay put until you take it off. I should also mention that they have a separate service for eyelashes, but it's a different price. I don't wear false eyelashes but I know a few people who have had them put on and looked fabulous. I've only been to this store on Saturday afternoons. It's usually fairly crowded but enough staff where I've never had to wait more than a couple minutes. I really only buy a couple items from their line nowadays so I go in knowing what I want. The main reason I trek to this store is their recycle program. It's either this location or Ceaser's if you want to take advantage of their recycle program and have a choice between lipstick, lipglass or an eye shadow in return for six empty containers. I did find on my last visit while browsing that items were a little disorganized and not where they were supposed to be. read more

Love this place. I was able to get an appointment the same day I called at the same time for my friend and I. I decided to go with the option of getting $60 of products for a full face rather than $60 for an hour of uninterrupted service. I was told with that option, my artist may need to walk away to help other customers. Yessi was my makeup artist. She was amazing. Shopped here for three years and they were always able to find me in the system. Was told that if I got a tan and changed color, I could come back and they would switch out my foundation. Went on vacation and got a tan. Returned to this location and the associate could not find me in the system. She made little effort to find me after that, treating me as if I was scamming them. I was very disappointed. Contacted their customer service and have yet to hear back from them. If you want assistance, I suggest a different location. As a result of my in-person experience, ordered online w 25% off cyber Monday sales opps instead. IN-PERSON EXPERIENCE: Recent boutique visit in Las Vegas NV. We recently visited the new boutique at Town Square Las Vegas which was considerably slow compared to the usual mall foot traffic elsewhere, but it was deceptive. Once we stepped inside the shop, we were rudely unacknowledged with only 2-3 other customers present. There were 3 girls on staff in front on Monday 11/26/18. All 3 were definitely not your typical M.A.C. Reps: one was sitting at a makeup chair texting on her phone (which none in Pleasanton and Walnut Creek ever are caught doing) didn't even look up when we or other customers walked in; girl #2 seemed timid, both girls #2&3 saw me, didn't acknowledge us or anyone else walking in, wouldnt give us eye contact nor to say that someone would be w us shortly. We browsed to give them a chance to at least acknowledge us while waiting for help. Five full minutes went by and we ended up leaving walking very slowly towards the door, still no simple thank you nor farewell. Later on our way back to the parking, we decided to give it one more try and rcvd the same response again, but this time I waited until one of the two were done (the phone girl was still sitting on her phone not looking up). When girl #2 finally assisted me she told me that girl #3 knows more about the prime/prep products and said she could help us, stayed by the register not attempting to keep the conversation going until #3 was free or no small talk at all (girl #2is the timid of the 3). As it turned out girl #3 didn't possess the M.A.C. product knowledge for the prime & prep line nor had an inkling of what I was referring to. It's possible they didn't carry this very old established item but could have at least acknowledged its existence, since I got online and found it later on the way back to my hotel. She offered two different primer products that were on display but offered NO other suggestions or expressed interest in helping find the right beauty product for my needs. I thanked her for showing me the two samples and bid her farewell. Girl 2&3 were ignorant to both verbal AND non-verbal cues. They need formal training in BASIC CUSTOMER SERVICE, retrained and quizzed in M.A.C. product knowledge, and supervised on the floor. Smiling wouldn't hurt either. read more

I went to the townsquare M.A.C. on a Saturday. The makeup artist that helped me was Myriah Q. Employee #476726. Let me tell you she was fantastic. She was friendly, sweet, patient and knowledgeable. I have gone to this M.A.C. Store maybe 3 times to shop around and never bought anything because I just didn't really get great customer service. With Myriah I bought just about everything she tried on me. She really listened to what I was asking for and made some complimentary suggestions that were spot on. It was a fun experience and I walked out with a whole new look that I loved. I really feel that the makeup artist can make a wonderful shopping experience or a simple walk away. I'm extremely picky when I wear makeup, especially lip colors. I have sensitive skin so I don't wear 'much' make up and with that being said I haven't found a lipstick that I love because its hard to balance lipstick with a bare face. I went into the TS location looking for a lipstick and bronzer. Von (Vaughn?) did about 15 lip swatches with me...... I felt bad that I didn't like any of them. He was quick on his toes and suggested a lip liner instead. That is true salesman ship. I hadn't even considered a lip liner, but it was perfect. It had color (because he said I needed color ) but also that flesh/neutral tone I was looking for. Next step was bronzer and I took the first one he suggested because at that point I trusted his expertise. Plus he upsold me some strobe cream.
