Makeup is awesome, but I don't wear a lot of it. Plus I wake up very early on work days, so spending more time to put on makeup is a no go for me. However, there are a few basic items that I use and replace every year to keep things sanitary. MAC seems to have more sales, free gifts and bonus points for their rewards program during the holidays. So I usually stop by towards the end of the year. According to my receipt, Angelina was the one who helped me and she was great! She helped me find a better matching foundation and powder compared to the ones I was currently using. A few months back, I also purchased some things through their website and had accumulated loyalty points. Thankfully, Angelina reminded me to redeem them since they were expiring in a few weeks. Overall, customer service was excellent and I did not feel pressured to buy. Loving the free gift promotion that they had and the extra items I got from redeeming my points! We came here for 4th of July w/o a clear agenda. I didn't want to commit to a show or anything because I have enough time constraints in my everyday life that I just wanted to play it by ear - for once. I made an appointment by phone close to 2 weeks prior to secure a slot. Thankfully i was able to grab their last and latest appointment. The gal over the phone was super friendly and helpful. This store is located inside the mall right by Forever 21. It is convenient because we were staying at The Wynn. It's right across the street! I walked in, checked in, and sat whilst my makeup wizard was getting ready to come out. If you are looking to have your makeup done, ask for Noel! He asked me where I will be going and what I will be wearing. Though we were only here for 2 nights I brought like 5 dresses but they were all black so that was easy to tell him. I honestly didn't think we were going to go anywhere but I am doing this for myself anyway so I told him I trust his vision. Just make me feel beautiful. A normal session is about an hour but he took an hour and 15 min. for me. It is quite obvious he takes pride in his work and likes to make sure everything is perfect because he did not rush one bit. Even when other customers needed his assistance he'd tell me and helped out whoever that walked in. Superb service. Not only did he make me feel beautiful, I felt like I was talking to a friend. I was in shorts and my hair was oily from all day in the airport and Vegas heat but no doubt I felt like a bad-ass after our session. I did slip into one of my black dress and enjoyed a drink in the lounge downstairs later that night but I sure as appreciated how the makeup made me feel about myself. I usually go to town square or caesars locations but was in the neighborhood and needed a different shade lipstick.... Viva glam is for a good cause... The customer service was excellent, she helped me and gave me input on the best shades for me. They had what I wanted in stock. They had the new displays and if you want they will even do your makeup like at the other shops. The loss of a star is because the lack of pigment selection, this location is more convenient but I guess if I want my eye pigments still will have to hike to Caesars as they have more extensive selection with all the professional products. read more

I've come here for years now anytime I need makeup. Every makeup artist I've ever had always gave me the best makeup. Exactly what I wanted. There was a period of time when I was pregnant and after I had my daughter where I wasn't going out at all so it'd been months since I had any reason to come to MAC. Recently I've been needing makeup again for meetings, a couple dates, etc. The M.A.C makeup counter has undergone a makeover since id last been there. It's now bigger and easier to maneuver around while looking for Makeup. The real reason for this review though is to talk about an extremely talented makeup artist who has done my makeup for me the past 2 times I needed it done. Her name is Regina. The first time she did it I had my daughter with me. My makeup artist that usually comes to me had canceled last minute because of an emergency so I went to Nordstrom in hopes that they could do it for me last minute. It was not a problem, they were able to get me in within 15 minutes. I'd never met Regina before but she instantly set me at ease when she started my makeup. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she quickly gave me the look while at the same time stepping away to help guests here and there, and carrying on a conversation with me at the same time. She wasn't bothered by the fact that my toddler was with me, and who at times was acting like...well a toddler going through the terrible twos. She never once made me feel like it was an issue or like she was annoyed with her for being so challenging and loud. My makeup lasted all night that night and I got so many compliments on it. The next time I went to M.A.C, which was yesterday, I went on my lunch break because I had plans later in the evening and knew I wouldn't have time to do my makeup later. This time my daughter was at her preschool where I teach and Regina was there again. She greeted me with a smile and remembered our conversation from the last time. This time since there was no toddler for me to attend too she did my makeup in less than an hour and it was still just as amazing as the last time. I did red lips this time and whatever she used on them lasted all night. When I got back to the school to clock in several women wanted her information because they loved my makeup. All I can say is if you're wanting quick and expertly applied makeup from an artist who's talented and warm and professional then request Regina! She's my new go to artist at M.A.C read more

I was trying to find a lipstick similar to the series I got- the specific color I have is Bathed Bath and I love it. Noelle, the one who helped me and let me ponder over 5-6 different shades while trying to help other customers in the store, was WONDERFUL and SWEET! In the end, when I finally chose a lip color called Mon Couer (Had to ask her to help repeat the name 100 times because I cannot remember it for my life), they did not have it in stock. I still bought an eyeliner from here that Noelle swore it was tried and true and would last me without smudge or issues. I really enjoyed the MUAs at this location. Me and 4 of my homegirls had our makeups done on both a friday and saturday night. I am really particular on how my makeup turns out, and the MUA (Manda) did a terrific job on both nights. All my homegirls are very particular about how they want their makeup also and they all loved how it turned out. We came a little late the first day but they got to us as soon as possible. We came a little early the next day and they accomodated us right away. It does get fairly busy because other girls want to get MAC'd out for the night so I recommend you get an early appointment like around 6pm. Last call for an appointment is at 7:30. There is a minimum purchase of $50 but it is worth it becuase the MAC PRO in Caesars Palace charges a sitting fee of $80 which is NOT redeemable towards product. All in all, MAC made these Bay Area Hunnies look even more hott. Thanks MAC =) read more

I was going to buy something, but if I have to flag someone down and be treated poorly then forget it. I will spend my money at another mac store. I went to get a eye demonstration for my wedding on New Years Eve.. They were booked solid so I was told to try to come in when they opened and I would have a shot of getting a demo. So I arrived at 10am promptly. There were at least 6-8 artists walking around doing nothing. So finally this guy asked me if I needed help. So I explained that I wanted a demo because I was getting married and I need a pink and putter mix. He said I will be right back. Then he came back and said we are not taking walk ins today I just spoke to my manager. So I said let me speak to her. Meanwhile the artists are still walking around doing nothing and telling customers on the phone that they can come and wait but they are booked. So a young lady her name was Scarlett. She was like I just heard what happened and I can take you we don't have our first appointments until 11:00. She said it's ridiculous that he didn't help you. So she gave me the most beautiful eyes and gave me tips on contouring for my complexion. She was so pleasant and positive. No one wants added stress on their wedding day! So if your in Nordstrom' s at the Fashion Square don't go to the gay tall guy with black hair he is a racist or something because he was giving a young white lady a "lip demo" when I was leaving. That is nothing that I would say it it weren't apparent. When in Vegas again I will be sure to call ahead and book with Scarlett again her fingers are magical. The make up lasted all night long.
