I want to share my experience with Mac Haik Southway Ford, particularly regarding their credit card payment policy, which I found quite troubling. When I recently made a purchase and paid with a credit card, I was surprised to discover that they impose a processing fee. But the disappointment didn't end there. When I had to return the item, I was informed that this processing fee would not be refunded. In my opinion, this practice is fundamentally unfair and leaves a bitter taste. It raises questions about their ethics--when you spend a significant amount, say $5,000, you rightfully expect to receive a full refund, not just a portion of it. I decided to contest the charges with my credit card company and have gathered all the necessary receipts that clearly show the discrepancy between what I paid and the amount I was refunded. The sums simply do not align. During my conversation with a manager in the parts department, I was met with a dismissive attitude. He stated flatly that I wouldn't be getting my processing fee back, and there was nothing he could do to assist me. It was disheartening to hear such a lack of accountability. Reflecting on my overall experience, I must say I am deeply disappointed with the level of customer service I have received from Mac Haik Southway Ford. This isn't an isolated incident; it feels like a recurring theme of questionable practices from them. Unfortunately, this has led me to conclude that I will no longer patronize their business. Instead, I plan to take my future purchases to a different Ford dealership, one that hopefully treats its customers with the respect and integrity they deserve. Deception, Lies, Stereotype Sales Organization. Mac Haik, San Antonio, TX I am a previous, very loyal customer after buying four vehicles and many service events over the years. Of course I thought of Mac Haik as my go -to when it came to assisting my daughter, a first year nursing student with a very limited savings/cash make her first purchase. I wanted to show her how to buy a car. When I introduced my daughter, I told the salesman the amount that she has to spend. He acknowledged and confirmed they had a car for that amount and assured me TTL was included. During the salesperson chaperoned test drive, I again wanted assurance that number would work with no add-ons. That number was repeated at least five times. We then went to sign the agreement but the document was considerably more than our agreement. Both he and the young man that came out saying he was the assistant something, suggested if she could use credit for the difference, we could make this happen. I looked at them in their eyes and told them I wanted only what was promised, no more no less. They opened the door and ushered me out. Horrible, horrible experience. I was able to teach my daughter what a bait and switch is and to never support a business that seeks to deceive. They ruined the wonderful loyal relationship that day and my daughter will carry this experience to the next generation of car buyers. I did seek remedy twice by leaving voicemails for the GM. No response. "No Add-Ons, no Mark Ups or Non-sense" is their banner and should not be believed. read more
