Took my car for routine stuff like oil change and air filter change twice. Every time there were some things not done or missing so that I had to come back once more. In particular: pins/clips were not all placed. Glove box was not reinstalled correctly after changing the air filter. Glue dropped into the same glove box when performing a recall. It's become a pattern that for 2 visits I had to come back 2 more times. To be fair: the problems that I myself later discovered were addressed promptly. For the glove box, I redid it myself. But if the service dept cannot do routine maintenance without forgetting to put all the parts back the way the car came from the factory, I'm not trusting them for any work at all. I've crossed this dealer off my list. The only thing is that the coffee and donuts are good. This sort of carelessness is inexcusable. That's how cars crash and people die. read more

What a terrible experience I just had. I spoke to a couple salesman for two days and we agreed for me to purchase a truck from them. I'm out of state and was going to fly over, had plans set aside and plane ticket booked. Later through out the process after some time before I was going to go get it, I get a call and they say said they're no longer selling me the truck due to issues with smogging a one year old truck in a different state, a complete lie and excuse! And by the way, they hide a lot of ridiculous mark ups in their pricing. Shady dealership, but this one takes the cake. DO NOT COME HERE! MAK HAIK Southway Ford does not certify preowned vehicles. I purchased this car not even 2 years ago and I started experiencing issues with it so I brought it in, got a diagnostic ran on it to fix some parts and paid over $1000 to be told the issue was not resolved and that it would need an entirely new transmission for another $5000 not counting the repair. I was assigned Angel Campos, no communication from him whatsoever, I was always trying to track him down. They kept my vehicle for over a month which was more than they quoted me on. When I stated I wanted the maintenance on the vehicle, they did not start right away and Angel took over 2 weeks to approve the start of the service. Take your business elsewhere where. Service repair. I will NEVER take my truck there They have been servicing my diesel truck for 10 years. I've spent $1000s there. I always fill my truck before I take it in to be serviced. It's always returned empty with the Explanation we needed to test it! The last time they had my truck a month before they started working on it. They left the engine cowling off and lost it. Just found out today when they replaced the front hub they replaced it with the wrong one! They had to know because the original lugs had to be changed also. They didn't reattached the turbo causing a huge oil leak. Their service department sucks!!!! read more

Clueless, indifferent, sales people. Don't try selling your car here. I was selling my vehicle with a solid offer from CarMax. I checked other services, including a car buying site called Driveo. Beat I can tell, it's a website dealers use to get leads in buying cars? The service says it'll beat other offers, and "instant payment." I show up to my scheduled appointment at 9am. I talk to three people saying I was there to sell my vehicle using Driveo. The first two had no idea what I was talking about... Red flag number one. Finally found the sales person to handle the Driveo deal. He took a look at the vehicle, came back with $1,000 less than the Internet offer... I was surprised but was ready to deal. I was pawned off on another sales rep named Reynaldo. By this time it's around 9:45-10. He starts working the paperwork... I wait another 20 minutes. He asked if I'm fine getting paid on Monday, since we're "going into a weekend" (red flag number 2... Doesn't jive with the Driveo advertised "immediate payment"). I told him no I'd need payment before I leave, and that I had to leave at 11 to meet at noon work appointment. He countered with having a check ready by 5pm. There was some back and forth between him and I presume the finance person (Crystal? He wouldn't give me her name or let me speak with her when I asked). It's 11:03, he comes back and I'm told they'll have the check ready soon... I asked "how soon" and was not given a reasonable estimate. I asked for a manager. Manager comes out, I tell him I need to leave, and he offers to return the title and paperwork to me. Be warned, when you go to this dealership, you will be strong armed. They will not honor in good faith advertised services, and instead seem to just be interested in getting you in the door, holding you hostage, and waiting you out. I took my 2017 Ford escape with 47K miles to Mac Haik's Southway Ford (that I bought from them) and paid $185 for a diagnostic because it was running rough. They read the codes and told me a needed a new engine that would cost $10k. I declined and they tried to sell me a new car. I took my car to a 3rd party shop and they fixed it by cleaning the fuel injectors. It has been running fine since. Mac Haik didn't even try to do a proper diagnoses of my car. They said that because they thought my car needed a new engine it would cost thousands of dollars for them to verify their suspicions by tearing it down and that I should just get a new engine or buy a new car and they would gladly put me in contact with a salesperson. Avoid Mac Haik at all costs, they are scammers and cheats and will try to wring you for every penny you have. Do not buy a car from them and do not trust them with your cars. Mac Haic is still calling me regularly trying to sell me a new car! SMH. read more

I have never been a Ford owner or been interested in purchasing one. However, after passing the robin egg Bronco enough times, I decided to stop in for a test drive, ready to purchase. When it came down to finalizing the deal it was a nightmare. Frank, the sales gm (?), could not set his ego aside and refused to let his team process the deal because of a separate deal gone wrong with someone I know. I had nothing to do with the other deal but was still refused due to his personal power trip. I happily took my business to Bluebonnet Ford. It was a quick, easy, and pleasant process. A complete 180. The team took care of me from start to finish, got me a great deal, and made sure I was fully aware of the all the perks and quirks of the vehicle.
