    My husband and I were going to both trade in our vehicles and get new ones. In the process, the person who was working with us was very rude, and when we decided to go somewhere else and returned to our vehicles we found out that they scratched my husband's truck. We were absolutely livid. When asked about how I felt about the offer for our vehicles I was honest and stated that I expected the value to be more and was told "we don't haggle here" so we brought our vehicles to Toyota and got $8,000 more. Do not go here.

    Minor scratch/paint that wasn't on the vehicle in the online preview before paying for the vehicle to be shipped to that location.

    Our experience at Carmax in San Antonio on 11880 IH-35 N was less than decent. Our salesperson, Romeo, was not knowledgeable in the processes he proposed to us (like 24 test drive, pre purchase repairs, post-purchase warranty & repairs) and he lacked effort to go find out the actual process. If he didn't know an answer he would just say "I don't know & I'm not sure," only going to ask a supervisor or colleague After I requested him to ask someone. Then he'd come back and say he couldn't find anyone to help bc no one wanted to come over if they weren't making commission on the sale. (Doesn't seem like a helpful or collaborative team environment). The wait time for in-store answers and attendance was almost unbearable. It took 1.5 hr to get signed up for the 20min test drive and close to 3 hours for the 24hr test drive. Romeo seemed to not have a sense of honoring or making the most of customers time. Just to copy drivers license took 20 min, as Romeo chatted with his coworker. After the 24 hr test drive we asked Romeo about a few key things that need maintenance before purchase. Romeo said Ok he will take the short list to the maintenance team & then call us that next Tuesday. Later that evening (Saturday), we get a call from Nate/Nick who tells us that our pre purchase inspection was actually not allowed & we did not have authorization to take it anywhere & that Carmax will only repair things After the car is purchased and only if there is damage to the vehicle then. We explained that we spoke to the manager & got approval for a pre-purchase inspection & we don't feel comfortable buying a car knowing something may be wrong with the rear differential. The requested repairs were less than $1,000 combined. We asked to schedule another appointment with them for Monday & maybe just go over things in person. He said Romeo was off Monday so he'd make us an appointment for 6pm Tuesday. The next morning (Sunday) we see that the car has been released from my reservation. We texted Romeo on Monday & asked how things were going & if the maintenance team agreed to the repairs. No response. Wednesday Romeo responded saying maintenance was still contemplating. Romeo never shared that the car was released. Very shady. I still had 4 days left of the reservation but it happened to be released right after our call with Nate/Nick. That Monday I made a new reservation for the car & requested it be shipped to the other Carmax location in San Antonio; but honestly we didn't feel comfortable with Carmax anymore so we ended up buying the same model & package at a different dealership altogether.

    Check engine light and Low tire

    I bought a car that had the low tire pressure light on. they said it was a sensor issue and would go off by the time i got home. turned out it wasn't the sensor and there was a nail in the tire. then aside from buying a car with a nail in the tire, the next day the check engine light came on. when i went to carmax to tell them my issues within 24 hours of purchasing the car they sent me to a good year to get it fixed, but didn't care about my experience at all. terrible customer service, and if you're looking into buying a car there check for nails in the tires.

    Business center keeps saying 10 minutes for the paperwork..10 minutes. Bullshit! At some point just say hour or two hours...sheesh.

    As of right now , I would not recommend this place to build a newer transmission like mine 10L80,…read morewas told one price then the nxt it was about 1k more , then the nxt it was lower due to going back and forth with the office with a lot of cussing both ways , was told it would be ready on a Thursday after programming well it's been 3 days straight of programming and still nothing , I've called to speak to the owners wife Monday 21st and she refuses to call me back or talk to me alway puts someone else on the phone with excuses mind you I witnessed this in person when i originally went to pick my trk up when they said it would be ready , now mind you I live an hr away and was told Friday it would be ready and had to arrange a ride to the shop was dropped off around 445pm and sat around with no explanation as to why my trk wasn't ready until 620pm was told the builder needed to see why it wasn't working , needless to say I had to arrange another ride back home so sat outside until 745pm to get a ride home , here it is the 21st and still no truck and no one can tell Me why , if my transmission was rebuilt with "new" parts why are they having so much trouble with programming it with a fast relearn like the dealerships do . Oh also they were paid on the 17th in full and I still haven't received my truck .

The team took care of me as if I was a repeat customer and when I became one they took the extra mile to make sure I was always taken care of and understood.     I was poking around online one day and found this '07 SL550 AMG at a steal of a deal. The website…read moresaid I could text inquiries, so I did and someone promptly responded. My husband and I made an appointment to come take a look at it and we were greeted by a very nice gentleman named Gabe. We really liked the car when we test drove it, but it started smoking about 10 minutes into the drive. When we returned, Gabe assured us the problem would be fixed and sure enough! Two days later it was perfect! Unfortunately, the car got sold before we could seal the deal, but Gabe was so awesome, we knew he was our guy to purchase a vehicle from! Over the next few weeks, Gabe stayed with me and walked me through several loan steps (I don't do this often, so I had a lot of questions) but he constantly checked on us and made sure he was looking for the exact car we wanted...even on his days off and after hours! AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! And BEHOLD! We just walked out with a 2011 black SL550 with 70k miles and in PERFECT condition!!! We signed the paperwork with Cory the general manager, and he was amazing as well. He walked us through all the paperwork, explained it thoroughly, and gave us a maintenance package to go along with it! He told us how diligently him and Gabe searched for that particular car at the price we wanted. We feel so confident that our car has no issues.
