Adam and his staff are wonderful. I contacted several places after my daughter got a piece metal from her ear buds stuck in her IPod and Adam messaged me right away. He said they would try to get it out and that if they could there would be no charge. The other two places who responded wanted $35 plus, and the other, an outrageous $150. I took it in and while I waited in my car, Adam's staff removed it within 10 minutes. Businesses that are honest and that have integrity are rare these days. Horrible place to get a cracked phone repaired. I took my phone in to replace the crack in my glass and had nothing else wrong with it. I picked up up my phone an hour later and my home button no longer worked. The employee then proceeded to lie and tell me that the home button never worked and it was like that when I dropped it off ( complete lie). He then said the button is not actually attached to the screen and only attached to the phone and that they never touched it ( a complete lie) and they couldn't fix it. I then went to three other repair shops and they all said the same thing. He was inexperienced on taking out the home button and damaged it. The button is physically glued and screwed to the screen ( apple store showed me). I got my money back after spending half a Saturday arguing with them. Finally ended up at the apple store with no more problems. read more

Great store! I came in about 6 months ago worrying my old MacBook finally died but they checked a few things and it was just a bad charging port. I went in again today when neither the charging port or the adapter was working. They swapped the charger and the adapter free of charge! They also had some really cheap stuff like $2.00 cases/chargers for older Mac products. Chris was the employee who helped me both times, very knowledgeable and professional. I just had one of the best buying experiences ever, at The Mac Outlet. The gentleman who helped me was Chris. I had an old 2008 iMac that was on its last legs. I decided to check out The Mac Outlet and see what they had to offer. I really did not want to spend $1200 for a brand new iMac, or anywhere near that, so I was cautious. I explained my needs to Chris, he was a great listener, and he steered me to a great solution. I ended up spending a reasonable amount for a really great machine! However, after working on the iMac at home I noticed some strange flaws, mottling, on the screen. I called Chris and he told me to bring the machine in. After unsuccessfully trying to alleviate the problem, Chris swapped me out for a different machine and even gave me a nice discount on a magic mouse. I have 60 days to add an extended warranty, which I plan to do. I will also be taking the iMac in to have more RAM installed. I would also like them to take a look at my old Mac and see what they can do to make it run like new again. Chris is great to work with, he's crazy patient! I called this place to get a price estimate on my Apple laptop repair. They said they charge $79 an hour for a "diagnostic" fee to see what's wrong with it first. Usually it takes 2 hours, the guy said. Then if the computer does need repair, they waive that fee and only charge for the repair. Oh, and you lose your diagnostic fee money if you choose not to go with them, which he conveniently left out of the conversation. So basically, the information I gathered from this call was that I'd be obligated to use this company to repair my Mac once I dropped it off, or forfeit $158. And I was given no price quote whatsoever on the actual cost of repair, since they need to run the tests to determine the issue. $100? $500? There's no way of knowing! read more

My computer was acting up. I took it in and the guys said they would do a diagnostic and find out what was wrong for $70. Seemed like a good deal so I agreed. They left me a message saying that a component had gone bad and that they would repair it for $150. I went in to get the machine and declined the repair, and they took my $70 and that was it. No written diagnostic. No report of the busted part. Nothing. They were so confident that I would pony up for the repair that they were taken aback when I asked for the information for which I had paid. It was weird. Also, they took off two of the little feet to get access to the guts and didn't replace them. Call me petty, but I really feel ripped off. read more

Terrible customer service! I work in the industry of helping people and I was very unhappy about how I felt after being ignored for a good while when nothing was happening inside the store. After checking my Mac laptop in for 100$ I received a call 3 days later saying that it was done. Problem is, nothing they said they did was done?! 1 week later I had to take it again to another repair shop. Try somewhere else before you take anything to this place!! I checked out this place today and really wished I had known about it earlier! They sell all sorts of Mac products/laptops/computers/software AND repair them, hello yes! Good quality customer service, good prices on their used products as well PLUS they buy your old Mac stuff, from computers to ipods. I sold my nano and got $75. They're located on south broadway right hand side if you're coming from the north, left hand if you're coming from the south. They have their own big parking lot too, thank god, so no side street parking. Look around and you will find all sorts of interesting and useful things for your Mac life. I first met Adam 2 years ago when I was starting a new business and my old Mac bit the dust in the middle of a crucial deadline. I couldn't afford a brand new one at the time, and in my desperation came across Mac Outlet. Oh, I should mention this happened on a weekend. Adam helped me select an iMac I could afford, but made sure it had enough oomph to grow with me and to be turned into the beast I needed down the road. He helped salvage and transfer all my data over the weekend and came in on a Sunday (!!!) so I could pick it up and get back to work. I was wowed. Today, 2 yrs on, I picked up my iMac after the storage upgrades we had planned back then. Thanks again, for advising me on striking just the right balance of investing enough to run things optimally, but not up-selling me or letting me sink unnecessary money into my machine. And once again, Adam went above and beyond this time around. He spent several extra hours with me, patiently helping me solve all kinds of other work-flow related problems. Questions and issues surrounding my bloated and fragmented media libraries, that I've dragged around for years and that had gone unanswered and unsolved by any Apple store Genius or tech support I've tried in the past. I'm still amazed, as I'm sitting here writing this, at how clean and smooth my Mac environment is, streamlined across all my devices. You don't need an appt. to bring your computer here like the annoying GeniusBar at the apple store. You can just show up with your busted-ass MacBook like I did and they will gladly check it in and fix it for you, after troubleshooting of course. They are also very friendly when you email questions. I thought my computer was toast when they said my hard drive was failing, but luckily they have many price/size options to replace it! Woo! Other businesses told me that my laptop crashed and that no files could be restored from it, but the experts at Mac Outlet restored my precious photos and other files and brought my 2008 MacBook Pro laptop back to life for a reasonable price and in a short amount of time. I thought I had a virus (well, I guess technically I did) on my Mac, and called to find out if I could drop in with it before the very far future date when the Apple Store could see me... and/or the $19 fee I could pay to chat with or pay for a phone call from an Apple expert. When I explained what the virus was from my research to the guy on the phone, he gave me advice on how to remove it easily instead of wasting my time (and his) to bring it in. And, off it went. These guys rock! Rolled into town for two shows at Red Rocks last night. My hard drive started to go wonky up in Canada yesterday. Found these guys on Yelp, was at there door when they opened today. They ran a diagnostic and determined that my drive was indeed bad. Said that they could fix it today, but Dan, the tech helping me out also saw that I was still covered under Apple Care and that I should go to Apple and they would fix it for free. I did not have a great service experience, initially. It took them an unusually long time to get back to me and I sent a fairly expressive e mail to Peter, their director of operations. Joseph, the owner, contacted me immediately and worked out a satisfactory plan. I am a professional photographer in the middle of wedding season and this computer issue was completely my fault (spilled a drink like an idiot). But I didn't have time to be waiting around for a week. Joseph kept me informed and went way far and above what he needed to do in order to make this work for me. He committed to a budget, first of all, which was reassuring. Then he upgraded my computer from a 2.7ghz to a 2.8, without me asking, replaced the top case (keyboard and basically the lower half of the machine) which I don't think really needed to be replaced, but he did anyway. They gave me a loaner machine which was more than comparable to my own and it allowed me to miss less work (I had already missed a ton). My machine seems to be in perfect working order. They did what they said they would do and my level of trust in them increased ten-fold. I would recommend trying Mac Outlet if you have a computer issue. They really are an honest resource who you can trust. Back your &*%$# up. I always do. I was never in fear of losing anything. Thanks Peter and Joseph. I I purchase a 27" IMac from here late this afternoon only to get home to find out I can't use it because it needs a password and it wasn't given to me. I'm afraid to do a hard reset/recovery because I don't have a disk or anyway to get beyond the login screen. I have a big project I'm working on and waiting until Monday isn't an option. I was very impressed with the customer service and the repair that was recently done on my MacBook Pro. When visiting CO over the 4th of July week my hard drive crashed. Due to my travel schedule I needed immediate help. I sent an email and received a quick response. My computer was repaired the following day, my data was recovered and installed from my back up hard drive. Chris was extremely helpful with his knowledge of available hard drive replacements, outlined the cost differences and was super accommodating with my time crunch. One day turn around! When my four year old, 24-inch iMac started to run slowly on a consistent basis, the MacOutlet quickly confirmed a failing hard drive, suggested an reasonably priced upgrade to a solid state unit, and installed it. Install happened in less than a day, and I was back up and running the next. The "new" machine is almost as fast as my brand-new 27-inch machine, and for a fraction of the price.
