Like so many other reviews here, I cannot recommend these people enough. I've owned Apple products since the '80s and have used a wide variety of service providers for the occasional issues that have come up over the years, so when I say that these folks are the best, I am confident in that assessment. I recently had a major issue with my iMac with many layers of problems to solve with my hardware and software. I gave up on Apple, Applecare, and even my go-to in-home tech, and pulled out an old business card for Mac Outlet and looked at their online reviews. All 5-star, so I took the leap and called. Spoke with Sky who really impressed me with his patience, knowledge and honesty, and then headed over to see them with my computer. They went beyond the call of duty to solve my issues no matter how challenging it was, and have convinced me that they are one of the few truly great customer service providers left in our fair city where things seem to have gone downhill in so many places over the last couple of years. So, do not hesitate to call them and talk to Sky, Stuart or Adam, or purchase a "refurbished" computer or laptop from them. Everything seemed to be going wrong with my Mac. I was in the middle of a project and once again I was getting the spinning beach ball that was making it impossible to finish my work. I had brought my Mac to the Mac store in the mall 2 other times for this same problem and the last time, they wiped my computer clean and said that would solve the problem... it still ran slow and I got the occasional beach ball. I also made several calls to support, to no avail. I was at my wits end with this problem, my sister suggested I go to the MAC OUTLET. Within minutes, Adam had my issued solved. I thought I was going to have to get a new computer, but instead he installed a new drive, a quarter of the price of a new computer (my current one was failing - not sure why the mac store never figured that out) My computer is now like new. I was recently in a situation where I wanted to purchase a reasonably priced MacBook as a "get by computer," as I'm still exploring the new models, but I didn't want to get burned with a dead on arrival eBay sale, or anything without at least a bit of warranty coverage. After a bit of searching, I was able to locate the Mac Outlet. The inventory was huge and varied, with several makes and models of Macs to choose from. It appeared that all inventory carries a 60 day warranty with options to extend at the time of purchase. I was in and out quickly, and was very appreciative of being able to get a fairly new system at a great price. Being the Apple geek that I've been since the early 80s, the best part of the trip was seeing all the old skool systems and equipment on display - there were even a couple of Disk II 5.25" floppy drives, Mac Classics, and Lisa systems in the mix! Definitely recommend. It's not in the best part of town, but worth a visit, no doubt. read more

*ALERT* Potential diamond in the rough! I'm not a Mac person (although I have envy) but I do have an iPod. I've gone to this store to support the use of said iPod. First time I went there was when I needed a battery for my iPod. Apple wanted to charge me the $60 to mail my iPod to them and i would have had to wait for days. I went to this store and the guy there told me he could do it in 5 minutes...he took my ipod, changed the battery, gave me some advice to maintain it, and charged me the $60 for the battery. I've gone back for stuff since, like a case, some headphones and other accessories. The staff there was cordial and helpful and assisted me any way I needed. Also they have lots of stuff there CHEAP!! You can get all kinds of things (including printers, computers, notebooks, etc...) there so check it out. read more

I called them today to ask some questions about an error I'm getting on my laptop. The gentleman was VERY friendly and answered all my questions. He explained everything very clearly and not way over my head. Although there was nothing they could do on-site, he suggested I go to an apple store and told me what I would need to request when I go in. They may not have fixed my laptop, but by spending 5 minutes on the phone with me today (whereas the other store I called wanted me to drop off my laptop where it wouldn't even get looked at until tomorrow), saved me time and frustration. I took my MacBook Pro in for a diagnostic test....the laptop was the casualty of a coffee.....I had been told about a year ago (from someone in Summit County) that I needed a new motherboard which would be around 1000k...I had put this expense off as long as possible when I stopped by The Mac Outlet. I agreed to the diagnostic labor fee which was outlined and walked out dreading the report. I was pumped when they called back 2 days later and told me that I only needed a new battery and hard drive. They then informed me that the hard drive would be covered by Apple! I had them do the necessary work and was so excited to have a working laptop again! Sadly, the battery stopped working only a week later...i stopped by around 2 (they seemed short staffed....) but the polite guy at the service counter checked out my battery, confirmed my recent purchase and gave me a new replacement. The Mac Outlet was efficient, fair, honest and helpful. I would send my mother there if she lived in colorado. Try them out....avoid lunch time (apparently 12-2) this was written on a fully functioning macbook pro that was serviced and repaired by The Mac Outlet :) read more

A friend and I went to the store in July with an older G4 mac mini that someone gave him. We didn't know if worked and the woman who previously owned it's kid had put a piece of hard candy in the CD drive thinking it was hungry (hahha!) The younger woman at the store connected everything to see if it worked, and then pressed a key in the middle of the keyboard and the computer didn't turn on, screen remained blank. She told us that for some (generic, I don't want to tell you what I really think) response was "It looks like there's something wrong with it, it won't turn on, but if you'd like we have some refurbished Mac Minis in the showroom that you can buy if you want". We looked at her and politely said "no thank you, we'll take it and see what else we can do". That's the time we went to the Apple store in the Park Meadows mall and after having someone at the Genius bar squeeze us in sort of last minute (we waited 45minutes, not really bad considering we made the appointment the same day) reservation. We were seen by a younger guy who was very cool (and laughed at the mess of hard candy in the CD drive) and not only found that the Mac Mini worked, but what the specifications on it were. He tried to get the computer "unlocked" so my friend could use it (removing passwords and usernames), but that didn't work well and after about half an hour of trying, offered to upgrade the O.S. on it from 10.2 to 10.5 for free. I think I'm going to pause next time I get the idea to go into The Mac Outlet and think even if I don't like the Apple store super well, it's better than a place that doesn't seem to want to try to fix the problem, but rather upsell you something you don't need nor really want. read more

I just love Mac Outlet! They brought my MacBook Pro back and now it's better than ever! I brought it in a few months back to see what they could tell me. They provided me an estimate. When time allowed I brought it in to be serviced and, surprise, surprise, it was ready by the end of the day (Coronavirus and all). What they said the problem was... was. The point being... their estimate was spot on. And my Mac is bigger and faster than when I purchased it. Oh, yeah, and about half the price of what Apple would have charged. read more

Don't need the Applestore anymore. Situation: Client spills a beer all over my Macbook. Shock ensues. Quickly dry computer, close it and head to Applestore 1. Wait time is 3hrs to talk to someone. I out in an appt then drive 20mins to the next Applestore. During drive I talk to a barriage of voicemail prompts and "automated attendants" to try and schedule an immediate appt to just drop off the computer. As I pulled into the parming lot finally get someone who says...I can't just drop off the computer. Funny....I can do that with my car, but not my computer. (insert head scratching here) Plus side: phone calls kept me occupied while driving. Arrive at Applestore 2, Wait 20mins. "Genius" takes computer in back. 15minutes later he comes back with bill of $1400+. Says he needs to ship it out, no guarantee of data recovery, timeframe 5-6 days. Next day call MacOutlet. Talk to Dillion (Herein referred to as "Hero"). "Yes bring it in I can look at it." Drive to MacOutlet. Hero takes Macbook apart (in front of me) looks around, cleans a few things says it does not look to bad. I can clean it and try to see if we can get it working again. Initial charge $250 + any parts. Head ache ensues and fear falls upon thee. Hero says "It will likely take all day, probably have it back to you tomorrow." Dispaired man writing this review says "Ok, but will you test the drive and let me know today if my data can be recovered?" Hero says "yes, I can do that." Momentary relief comes upon thee but still heart attack prone. Head back to office. Workday over and on the way home, Hero calls and says computer needs a battery, the data is good and computer is working. Total $290. Recap: Applestore = why? MacOutlet = I am sending you all Beer. Would highly recommend you keep it away from your computers. And don't invite my client over. Thank you, Dillion and Tracy. For your help, swift work and integrity. You have created a MacOutlet Evangelist. Side story: At less than $300 my client was able to riemburse me without getting any higher ups at either of our companies involved. If his accident forced a $1400 bill and no computer for 5 days that very well could have cost my 27 year old client his job and a blackmark on his career history. I brought my MacBook Pro in on Saturday to have the Mac Outlet see if they would be interested in purchasing it. When I brought the laptop in on Saturday, they said that they would send me an email confirmation. I had not yet received this, so I called in on Monday and they said that they would that they would resend it... I had not yet received this and called back this morning, and was told that it was resent. Luckily, after me callback to the Mac Outlet, they were able to fix a small glitch in their software which was preventing the emails from going out, so I am glad that I was able to let them know that wasn't working.. Long story short, I posted a review on yelp about this, and the owner contacted me directly to offer a personal apology. This was a great customer service move! I was very pleased to hear from the owner and hear that the situation had been rectified. After hearing from the owner, I would give their customer service 10/10. I am a premier exec 1k member on United Airlines, which basically means I fly a lot and get a bunch of perks. However, when I contact customer relations, I don't get a call back from John P. Tague, President of UA, I hear from somebody either in India or somebody in the US who is pretty low on the corporate ladder. The outlet has great people such as Chris, Joe, Phil, and Ted who won't steer you astray. I've dropped off my iPhone a couple times for repair work and waited next door at Felt while they worked on it. One time it was better than new and the other time it couldn't be fixed but not their fault. Service is super friendly and they are all very knowledgable. They helped me with saving all my data from my dying mac to my new one. I had to come back to their store a few times while figuring out the best way to get my files from my dying hard drive to my new computer. They guys were all patient, understanding, and respectful as they explained the options. They saved me years of documents, music, and all my photos, saving irreplaceable data, a lot of money, and were extremely nice. I was also very impressed when I saw them respectfully help a distraught elderly lady understand how to use her ipad (at no charge). I took two old laptops in to have the hard drive cleaned up so I could give the computers to my nieces. The young man who greeted my in a very friendly way, showed me in about 2 min. how I could do it myself and save some money. When I tried to tip him, he refused, saying it was a pleasure to be able to help. This is the 2nd time I've visited the store and have gotten the same friendly response both times. The first time I had to replace a hard drive on a Power PC G4. The price was very reasonable, the work done quickly and I have been very pleased with the outcome. The last thing I would like to say, is that I also observed how the others who worked at Mac Outlet treated other customers who came in and it was with the same respect I have been accorded. Chris was absolutely awesome on customer service yesterday. I had an emergency as my Mac charger had broken and power was already down to 20%. It was 4:55 pm -they close at 5:00 - and Chris welcomed me in with a smile. I showed him the charger, he knew immediately what was wrong and not only did he replace the part, but he also gave me a new cord for it and didn't charge me anything for all of it! It just doesn't get any better than that!!! This Mac Outlet store is where I will go for anything Mac from now on. Customer service is so important these days, so often we aren't treated well, just another number, and Chris was terrific, made me feel valued, treated me royally and I really appreciate that he went out of his way to make it a great experience for me there. It should speak loads that I haven't needed this store until year 6 of my Mac device ownership. The adapter for my MacBook Pro laptop finally went kaput on me, and I have personal issues with paying $80 for a power cord. Thus my inquiry to this establishment to see if they could offer a discounted yet entirely serviceable option to keep my Mac powered and powerful. Yes, indeedy! One call to them confirmed they had the adapter I needed and at a lower price than I'd pay to Apple, so I visited them today. Prepare to geek out with me: my favorite part was when they offered to email my receipt instead of printing it. WHAT'S THAT, you say? The 21st century? Alive and well here, my friend! We purchased a pretty expensive MacBook Pro and it was everything that we had hoped for. My wife uses it for her new home based business and it serves her more then well. We had an issue with the power cord today only to realize when we brought it to the Apple store it wasn't an actual Apple product, power cord. The Max Outlet was closed and we needed it for a business function but couldn't contact them to ask for a new one......Joe the owner called me back and made it 1000% right. Sending me a check for the power cord even though he technically didn't need to. If I could give 10 stars I would, Adam and his staff are great. I spilled a cup of coffee on my MacBook and did not have it backed correctly. Adam fixed the MacBook with no data loss. I also decided to purchase an iMac (most damage I can now do is a keyboard) and he copied over all the data from my MacBook seamlessly to the iMac.
