Have taken in a couple computers and tech to see about selling and although I decided to go elsewhere each time to their credit they were the highest offers I received by a mile. You'll get better treatment here than any of those pawn shops I'll tell ya that right now. Even told me where to try reselling a computer I had to help me get the amount I wanted easier. Integrity is priceless. They've never been anything but honest, friendly, and engaged with me as a customer. I bummed a cigarette to a homeless woman who I talked to outside the business for a bit and while that might not sound like a big deal that amount of people who would immediately be hostile towards me at other businesses for something like that...is shamefully common. But these guys were not like that, not even a hint of it. Prices are very fair; and since it's a proper computer shop you can trust purchasing stuff used. EZPawn has sold me a laptop with root ware before, so the ~30 bucks I thought I'd saved really jerked me on that one. You won't have that sort of issue here, that alone is worth more than 30 dollars. I stopped by with my niece to look at buying her first laptop. She worked with Mike who was a total gem! He started by showing us what he purchased for his child. Then we looked at the options in that class. He then showed my niece a class lower and a class higher and how they differed. He had these SUPER metaphors about processing speed and drive size that made alot of sense to my 10 year old niece. It was a fantastic experience and my niece got a good deal of a refurbished system. I have gotten used computers from Action for over 20 years, and I've lost track of how many. Perhaps 6-7, and one new "black box". I did have an issue with the power supply on the new build after a few months, but they replaced it with no questions asked, and did it in a day. I always felt like I was given a good deal, and while I'm pretty knowledgeable and generally know what I want going in, they are always friendly and helpful. This is basically the best computer shop in Colorado. I came in looking for a new monitor. I've always wanted dual monitors on my personal computer, but just never had extra money to make that expense. PLUS places like Best Buy charge at minimum $59 for a brand new monitor. I came into the store last month and was treated with AMAZING customer service. The prices on used equipment was super reasonable and in most cases the sales agent will throw in a free VGA & power cord with your purchase. I came back today to finally make my purchase and I can honestly say it was of the most enjoyable experience I've ever had in a retail shop(EVEN DURING THE COVID PANDEMIC!). Jeff Myers(who happens to be the VPO of the company) treated me like his favorite customer even while taking calls in the middle of our transaction. He even provide me a free VGA to DVI-I adapter when I returned a short time later after realizing I did not have dual VGA ports on my video card. So I bit off more than I could chew with a new PC build. After a couple days of back and forth to the parts store I finally gave up and decided to have it built for me. I took all the parts to Action PC. Pros: They did an awesome job and the staff was attentive to my desires and built it just the way I wanted. They also priced it very fairly for the build, charging for 2 1/2 hours of labor. Buyer Beware!! My son's old computer died and so went to Action Computer and they showed us a computer that will "suit his needs perfectly". They assured me it was in good working condition. The sound went out the second day and then a load whirring noise started so we took it back. They assured us they would fix it. After a week, we got it back. The sound still didn't work and the noise was still there. So we took it back and asked that they fix it ASAP. I called the next day to check and they had excuses as to why they had not worked on it yet. I went back later that day and asked that it be fixed or give me a refund. "No refunds on used equipment". And still it is not fixed. They offered to replace it with another that costs less but that would take another day and since there is no refunds on used equip, they said they will refund the overpayment as a store credit. I recently took in my wife's surface Pro because the glass had cracked. I automatically assumed you could replace the glass, but unfortunately with Microsoft surface products, they glue the glass down all over the place on a few of those models and that literally means if you cracked the screen and you need a new screen you need to buy a new device. We came up with a proactive solution with a glass protector to just prolong the surface a little longer and it works great. Before purchasing, I specifically asked about the battery status, and they told me that all the used laptops had good batteries --- NOT TRUE! My mistake was trusting them, and not looking more closely before buying. I soon found that the battery status included a 'service needed' notice. I didn't not expect a perfect battery, but I also didn't expect one that needed service immediately! I contacted them about it, but was ignored. No refunds on used laptops. I really like that they have a ticketing system so you can see where your project or repair is in the process. They also recycled a bunch of old electronics for me for free. I came in after comparing a few places on Yelp, looking at their online and in-store inventory. I needed a new used laptop for personal use that day, to not use my work one for such. I walked in and was instantly greeted by Dean who gave me a tour of all the options they had (so many!) We talked about what was most important to me and he was so patient in showing me different laptops. Whenever something didn't convince me or suit my needs, Dean would look around his inventory and check the back and come with something even better! When the battery of my 4+ year old HP laptop began to die, I took it in so they could remove the back and verify the exact battery needed. I paid for the battery and they placed the order. I've had positive experiences at Action Computers. I had previously brought in an old, non-working external hard drive and they were able to salvage the data from it for a reasonable price. Then I came in looking for a laptop. Dean from Sales was helpful and friendly. I looked at what they had, then looked online at the usual spots (Amazon, eBay, Best Buy, Apple), and compared the specs. Jeff worked with me to find a cost effective solution to my needs and followed up with further support when a couple of issues came up after my purchase. I was able to pick up my items at one of their warehouses, which was a fun and interesting experience. I could get lost in that warehouse for hours! 1000's of recycled electronic goodies in there! I think I bought my first screen from Action about 15 years ago. It worked wonderfully and is still downstairs in the basement with the tower that I purchased from them a few years later. Both still work. Action is probably the best computer store on the planet, bar none. The staff is knowledgeable, courteous, and the customer service is something everyone in the store takes seriously. It has always been like that, and as a long-time customer, I know. A couple of weeks ago, I took my laptop in for a total diagnostic. I picked it up today and I couldn't be happier. It's running better than it did when it was new. These guys know what they are doing. I bought a beautiful used iMac a couple of years ago from them, and I was thrilled when I got it because a new 27" is $3K, easy. I paid $800.00, and it is as perfect as a brand new one. I can say without reservation that the service and selection is better than any other store.
