The food was disappointing and disgusting I don't recommend Service was ok and they were nice

a fish and chips meal with coleslaw and coleslaw slaw

I could not tell you what posessed me to come here for food. Maybe the group outside that seemed like they were having fun. Maybe it was the fun little statues out front that people take pictures with. These are all illusions, designed to trick your senses into believing the food here could be good. I went in and asked what I should be getting. Of all the sandwiches the server pointed to the fish and chips option. Sure why not. How bad could it be. I ended up getting the fish and chips along with a french onion soup. The soup is the sole reason this isn't a 0 star review. The soup was perfectly servicable and it came with the cheese melted on the bread you were supposed to dip into it? An odd choice and I presume one chosen simply due to the fact that broiled cheese is impossible to get off of those bowls. I get it. The fish and chips oh god where to begin. Maybe it was the fact that closest ocean is about a hundred miles away. Maybe it was because of the time of day or the fact that it was a full moon. Whatever the reason this was abysmal. The stuff of nightmares. I could go fishing in hell and catch something better. The only thing about this that was good was the fry on the fish, which was crispy and freshly fried. The fish inside? I might as well have been eating a flip flop from the times of Jesus Christ himself. It was tough. Have you ever heard of a tough fish? I have. The coleslaw tasted as if it had gone bad so I took one mouthful and immediately spit it out. The fries could have been found next to the dead sea scrolls for all I knew. That's how much salt was on them. The finishing coup de grace was the fact the bartender was just openly vaping not but 10 feet away from me. I kinda looked at him and he didn't seem to care. Who smokes inside? Ridiculous. Never coming here again and I suggest you don't either.

Won't be coming back here. Would rather just eat at a Subway next time. Taste like bowling alley food or you have to be drunk to enjoy it. Don't even know why we stayed. From the beginning the service was ALL over the place, they only have like 3 waitresses here & they have terrible service. Our waitress checked on us maybe 2 times the whole hour and a half we were here. Once the food came out it was terrible besides what I got which was the "Mona Lisa", only A+ quality thing here on the menu to be honest. Other than that the food my family got wasn't even cooked all the way, the Macado sandwich was more like a MacaDON'T. Not even cooked & they just threw stuff in the bread & it was just gross. The fries weren't properly cooked either, super brittle. The other sandwich which was the Barndog says it comes on a sourdough bun but it didn't even come on that.... Just some basic normal super dense bread that taste like cheap stuff from Walmart. The vibe in here was also just weird as hell, some lady with a cowboy hat on was freaking out cause it rained for 10-15 minutes and was super obnoxious. The crowd in here too is just a bunch of drunk old guys around the bar & the lighting at the bar has 3 light bulbs out.... How hard is it to just replace your lightbulbs & have a decent care of your restaurant appearance?

super solid meal - very surprised by the reviews of this place. Came in early today (around noon) for a brunch/lunch in a group of 6. All of us came in starving so we had built up an appetite. no one was disappointed at all with their food! i ordered a classic burger and have zero to complain about. definitely got the job done - burger patty was medium well, had tomato, lettuce, and onion. a little light on the sauce but nothing worth complaining over. sweet potato fries were solid too. overall very happy with what i ordered and would recommend if you are looking for southern food quick bite!

The sliced avocados we were supposed to receive

We have ordered here multiple times and its just awful. We used to love this place. But, after wrong orders, food that is sloppy and put together with no effort. We will not come back. How do you order a sandwich with sliced avocado and bacon, then receive this store purchased guacamole and no bacon. Ridiculous.

We enjoy this place for lunch. Love to sit in the patio. We have tried to eat here once a month during Covid. I appreciate local.

The food took awhile to get to us, but it was really good once it got to our table. Other than that, nice portions and reasonably priced.

While having its own building is a plus, parking can quickly become a headache during busy hours, so timing your visit makes a difference. Walking in, there wasn't a host present, which made the entrance feel a little unorganized at first. However, a server quickly stepped in and pointed us in the right direction. From there, the experience improved the service was genuinely friendly and attentive, which helped set a positive tone for the meal. The burrito was the highlight. It came out well prepared with solid flavor throughout, even though it didn't include any sides. Normally, that might feel like something is missing, but the taste was good enough to carry the dish on its own. Pricing leans a bit on the higher side, which is something to keep in mind, especially given the lack of extras. Overall, Taqueria Guadalajara delivers where it matters most good flavor and friendly service even if it has a few logistical hiccups like parking and the initial lack of greeting. It's the kind of place that leaves you debating between a 4 and a 5, but the quality of the food ultimately pushes it into 5-star territory

Salsa continues to be delicious (albeit punishing the next day), and of my three tacos, carnitas was the only one to write home about. Pescado was fishy (not in the good way), and the al pastor was, again, just okay. Pointed out my chipped water glass to the server, who was apologetic and promptly replaced it. Best tacos in the area continue to be Los Altos de Jalisco in Winchester. I said what I said.

UPDATE: After getting a lovely response from the management…read moreat this location through Google reviews, I decided to give them another try! My friend and I had lunch there yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised with this experience. I ordered the chicken enchiladas with the molé sauce and my friend ordered the shrimp tacos. The presentation of the enchiladas was impressive and the shrimp tacos looked tasty! I loved the sauce on my dish and the cheese/queso. I was full after 2 and a half of the enchiladas. It came with 4. My friend filled up on 2/3 of the tacos. Soni was our server and she did amazing! She was sure to keep our waters filled and was consistently checking in with us. The cleanliness of the restaurant and bathrooms were still impressive, despite a couple of crumbs on the table when we sat down. The chips and salsa were still my favorite part. I can be pretty picky when it comes to salsa but I love the texture and taste of this salsa. The chips always come out crispy and fresh! We were there at lunch time and the restaurant was not super busy. I'm glad I gave them another try! My husband and I love mexican food and were excited to try this location. I was very pleased with the environment when we walked in. The staff was welcoming and the restaurant was beautiful. I was excited to get seated in a booth immediately on a Friday at around 5. I will also say that the bathrooms were incredibly clean! My husband and I both ordered tacos, but we were disappointed to find out they were out of the Birria tacos. I was shocked because it seemed early enough on a Friday for them to not be running out of items. I ordered chicken tacos and was not impressed. They were very bland and didn't come with much to add to the chicken and tortilla although, the plate was presented beautifully. My husband ordered the fish tacos and while he did enjoy them, they were also quite underwhelming. The service was not exceptional. I had to ask for water multiple times and as I was once a waitress myself, I was always taught water should be served immediately. I also had to remind my waitress 2 times that we had ordered the queso. It didn't come out until we had already received our food. Despite this, the chips and salsa were actually quite tasty and kept us satisfied. The server did bring more chips when we were getting low and was attentive to my soda and my husbands beer. I did feel the waitress could've been more attentive, but she was very kind and cheerful. I feel it's also important to note that the restaurant did not seem to be busy. I was happy to find that for two orders of tacos, a beer, and a soda, the bill was roughly $50, plus a $10 tip. While my husband and I prefer other Mexican restaurants in the area, I am glad we got to experience El Habanero.

Everything we tried was flavorful and well prepared, and it delivered that homemade, authentic taste you hope for when you walk into a place like this. The location itself is a big plus. It's spacious, and they even have a separate room for large parties, which makes it a great option for groups or celebrations. I ordered a burrito, and the portion size was generous easily enough to leave you full. The food overall was delicious and felt worth the price. There were a few downsides on this visit. They don't offer complimentary chips and salsa, which was a little disappointing, and the servers weren't especially attentive, so service felt a bit slow at times. There was also a nearby table where kids were laying on the floor, which was a little distracting and took away from the dining experience. Overall, still a solid spot if you're looking for authentic Mexican food with big portions and plenty of space, especially for larger groups just don't expect the extras or super attentive service.

A true divey hole in the wall with killer authentic street-style Mexican food…read more I hesitate to write a review because this is clearly an undiscovered gem. Last time I found such awesome undiscovered Mexican food was at a sketchy taco truck in CT parked outside a strip club. A few months after my first review of that place it shows up on TLC's best food trucks in America. Back to this place. Fantastic street taco style food. Delicious, homemade goodness. Flavorful tacos in handmade tortillas. Al pastor tacos were on point. The quesadilla's are made with a handmade corn tortilla and fresh cheese. A crispy outside with just the right amount of crunch. A bit chewy on the inside with a flavorful bite of creamy cheese and perfectly marinated meat. I'll be making frequent trips back here for the quesadilla. You can also get it in a flour tortilla if you want to rob yourself of the corn experience. A couple salsa options along with chopped onion and cilantro. Plenty of Mexican sodas in the coolers and a few tables to sit and eat. A wide selection of Mexican candies and other grocery items as well. I ordered the $5 quesadilla with carne asada (steak) which is made with a freshly made corn tortilla and the sweet lady cooked up the strips of steak on the spot. Odelay vato, great decision! I wasn't expecting juicy, flavorful tender steak nestled in a generous helping of jack (I THINK!) cheese. With some fresh cilantro, onion, green & red sauce, and the always-important-lime, it was all goooooood. I ordered a second for my son who was about to finish up a lacrosse practice and he was like, "where the heck did you get this from; it's weird but awesome!". The weird came from the homemade corn tortilla. Usually queso's are in flour, but I had no complaints and one thing I know about Mexican food is that there are so many regional varieties you have to be an idiot to think you know what it "is" when you see or taste it. Where I have my own SoCal sensibilities from growing up on Baja-style (Tijuana, Ensenada, Rosarito Beach, Cabo San Lucas, etc.) Mexican food, I dig stumbling on something new and I'll give my fine amigos & amigas at El Torito a hi-cinco for some good eats tonight. Oh, and the verde (green) sauce was phenomenal. Sorry, no pics of the food, I was desperate to tear into it and after a few bites...decided not to be THAT Yelper. Next time... Also, CASH ONLY!
