The dentists finally told me it was all in my head, literally...and that I needed to see a neurologist instead. Fast forward two years of living with this constant pain. My husband started going to Dr. Ali and told me "you have got to go see him, he is really good". So when I got hit with a new pain in my jaw, I made an emergency appointment. I swear the second I opened my mouth the first thing he said wasn't about my jaw but "I don't like that tooth in the front. Does it bother you?" I could have cried. NO OTHER DENTIST had ever said that about that tooth, even when I told them it bothered me. I explained the whole situation and he gave me a few experiments to try. I did what he wanted and sure enough the pain eased up making it clear that my major issue seemed to be my gums and the crown not fitting right. He has helped me work through all of this step by step with more compassion then any doctor I have ever seen in my life. Please note that I had a horrific experience when I was 18 with a dentist who abused kids in his chair and hurt me very badly. That dentist ended up in jail. So I have always had an extreme fear of dentists. Dr. Ali has been so patient, supportive, understanding, and just a wonderful person. He has walked me through all of this with such encouragement, and he never gave up. He is determined to see me pain free. Going to him has been life changing. There are not enough wonderful things I can say. Also, his staff has been friendly, knowledgeable and fantastic. His office is spotlessly clean and he is always on time. I am SO glad we found him!

The only way I was able to determine the bill was supposedly for me was by searching the return address online. To make matters worse, the bill referenced a dentist I have never even met. When I called for clarification, I was placed on hold for an excessive amount of time before speaking with a receptionist who was dismissive and unnecessarily rude. I was vaguely told the charge was related to a service from September, but when I requested an itemized breakdown of the charges to be mailed or emailed to me, I was told to "call my insurance company" instead. That is completely unacceptable customer service. Patients should not have to investigate mysterious past-due bills on their own or rely on their insurance company to explain charges your office generated. Sending a collection-style bill with no details, no transparency, and no professionalism is incredibly frustrating. Based on this experience, it is unfortunately not surprising to hear there has been significant staff turnover. Clear communication, organization, and respectful treatment of patients should be basic expectations for any medical or dental practice.

From the moment we arrived, the friendly atmosphere helped to ease my child's fears of the unknown. The clinic is beautifully designed with various activities to distract and engage little ones -- they can enjoy their favorite TV shows, read books, and play games on one of the many iPads available. To top it off, kids receive coins to use on the toy machine on their way out, making the visit even more rewarding. Our little guy had his first-ever dentist appointment here, and he did amazing!
