There were 2 ladies at the reception desk who were less than friendly. We had been to a couple other places before for an estimate and they were super friendly in comparison (Treads near Dadeland and Perez Auto on Bird Road). After waiting one hour (they had told us no more than 30 minutes) I saw the car parked so I asked one of the ladies the status. She said, very huffily, we are trying to contact bmw for the parts price. This without telling us what the issue was. Well, in the end the cost was close to 1200 for non bmw parts. The other place (Perez) quoted us $800. And they took less than 15 minutes for a free estimate. These people wanted $45 for the estimate but they didn't tell us that before. Of course we didn't pay. And we took the car to Perez. You really do have to get at least 3 estimates. The first two never charged us and took less than 15 minutes. I do not think I will go to Miller Auto Care in the future.

When I came by for a tire rotation in December, I discovered thay they recently changed management but the new owner Hector is just as friendly and fair with prices. They can order new tires and have a decent selection in stock as well as the basic balance, rotation (approx $16) and tire patch ($15). The shop is small but they work quickly considering, you can call ahead if you have a time constraints.

I showed up to a full lot and was still able to be seen for my wheel alignment and was out in a few hours. This was after I hit the curb a few days back and my car was making a weird noise while driving. This visit cleared that up and they assured me things looked good in the inspection. Alan was my mechanic and was very helpful. Even reprogrammed my old rim's air pressure sensor to the new rim I bought elsewhere. Prices are good, everyone works hard and honestly.

So I had my car towed over to his shop which cost me $150 He then said the insurance would not cover a "diagnostic" and that I had to pay for it. Well, my car was made in 1966 and there's no computer so how can you even do a diagnostic? I told him what was wrong with the car from the accident. He went ahead and did work without me knowing and then was insisting that I signed an estimate after he did the work. Which is illegal by the way. I did not ask for him to replace something, but he did on his own. He was very insistent and would get angry because I would not sign. So I went down to the shop to get my truck which cost me another $150 to tow Home. He was getting irritated that I wouldn't sign what he wanted me to sign because I didn't agree with it. He was goofing to charge me a lot of money for work that I didn't ask to be done. So ultimately to get my car back, I had to pay for this "diagnostic" . He then got very angry and claims that I was trying to take advantage of the insurance that none of it was caused in the accident and it was just because of old Parts. Which simply isn't true. I spent hundreds of dollars and nothing was fixed. And the fuel pump that he replaced or "fixed" was leaking. Prior to that , on the phone he was saying that it would cost a minimum of $2500 to fix my transmission and if he had to rebuild my transmission it could cost $4000 or more and he needed a $1500 deposit. I told him I could buy a new transmission for less than that. He claims that the part that was needed was very hard to find, but I found it in a 30 second Google search for roughly $200. He was trying to take advantage of me and tried to charge me way more than what was needed. He must've thought I was stupid, but luckily I know a little bit about cars. This should've been a simple cheap fix but he will definitely try and take you for a ride if you're not careful.
