Mach's is the only show in town, but it's also a better show than 99% of other local markets and takeout places. What an amazing country store. They essentially have it all and then some. They have all of the usual grocery needs but in addition to this they also have plenty of cooked meals for you to enjoy. In addition they have a great menu of sandwiches and pizza as well. Once you've shopped for all your needs don't forget to get your drink-beer, wine and liquor. The country store is neat and clean as well as well lit, it gives of a great vibe. To top it off the service is excellent. read more

Great spot for beer, pizza, BBQ and more. Pizzas are wood oven fired and ready quickly, with a nice, flaky crust. BBQ is highly quality, not drowned in sauce, but with rich flavor from the smoker. Beer selection is fantastic, with a decidedly local slant (and why not--Hermit Thrush sour is great if you want something different). While more expensive than a supermarket, you could shop here for groceries. The milk (I forget the farm name, but maybe something with an "M" and it has a green cap) reigns supreme (Battenkill Creamery got nothin' on them). Speaking if milk, do NOT sleep on the molasses cookies! Friendly and helpful staff. Worth the trip!! read more

Mach's market has really come a long way since their previous incarnation. This market has such an array of goods and phenomenal sandwiches and meals to go. The issue is the last three times calling in my lunch order, they never have it in the system and inform me they did not get the call. This particular time I was waiting in line and a customer cut in front, in which this is the third time this customer has done this to people. The cashier behind asked me if there was a problem, when I was rolling my eyes ( I wasn't terribly discreet). The cashier was not terribly discreet when she asked me if there was a problem. I subtlety told her about the customer and she apologized. I just wish the the staff behind the deli counter would apologize for not writing down the order when you call you order. If you cannot take the order over the phone let the customer know. read more
