Poshest General Store I've been to. This GS is quite large and well stocked and beautiful! It is geared towards the city folks and likely out of reach for most of the full-time locals. Think Martha Stewart of general stores...it is very nice but zero authenticity. Given its locale, they provide things for horses, pets, hardware for home, deli, brand gears and everything and more that a typical general store provides towards those who keep 2nd, 3rd or ? homes. It is very well stocked with everything you may or may not need. They also have covered gas pumps and a couple of picnic tables outside. However, everything is over priced. Most items are priced higher than anywhere for convenience? Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking is a private lot and is free. read more

Lots of nice stuff here, off the beaten path. Big place. I almost missed a room off to the side. There's also an attic and a cellar.

Bolts? Cow feed? Sorrel boots? Vermont cheese/Maple syrup/local honey? Hot homemade soup? Why yes! They have all that and a bag of chips (literally)! Old floor boards, hand hewn walls, creaky stairs, fresh coffee, flannel shirts, North Face wear, tools, hardware, bird feeders, leather belts....they have that too. Great deli, famous for their cookies, sandwiches & fresh heart food. Pleasant service. One shop stop if your local & need a random thing or a tourist & need some mittens & a hot coco. read more

HN Williams is simply amazing. It is gorgeous in its old barn setting. They have everything under the sun - and NO junk. The food is delicious. The local items are great. The wine/other option selection is fantastic. The staff is nice and helpful and friendly. What a Cotopaxi selection! Great toys for the kids....really good sandwiches and pick up food....Dr Bronner's items.....dog toys....horse feed.....candy that you can't find everywhere (Chuckles!). Love this place. read more

what a gem this place is!!! this country store is so charming, and well stocked! the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. they have great food items, both ready to eat and stock, and a great selection of drinks. they also have horse care items, a large pet section, and lawn/farm/garden stuff. you can pick up some made in vermont stuff here as well. absolutely worth the trip!!!!! read more

Great place to eat. I had bbq pork sandwich and my husband had a a cheeseburger. Loved the bbq . The cheeseburger was big. They have a small section with tables where you can eat. They also have different sections with clothes, shoes, Vermont Maple Syrup, wine, etc. We went there twice! read more

Ali at HN Williams is the best. The deli is awesome - never had a bad meal and they did a fabulous job catering my fall wedding! It was a tricky location, but everything from the set up to the food was perfect. Heavy hors d'oeuvre and a carving station were just right for the event and delicious. The sweets that went with the small cake were great too. Ali clearly loves what she does and it shows in her food. Don't miss it! read more

Place is great. Best place for lunch in Dorset. Williams is just what it bills its self as, a general store, and nothing more. Cloths, live stock feed, gardening/landscaping supplies, deli, ammo, anything and they serve breakfast sandwiches all day. Couldn't ask for more. read more
