Nice little café with a homemade-style menu and locally sourced ingredients. The food and coffee were excellent--delicious and prepared to perfection! Everything came out quickly but still tasted fresh and thoughtfully made. The kids had pancakes and waffles with chocolate chips and fruit--and for the first time ever, both finished their meals! We tried the Gardener Platter and the omelette, and both were absolutely delicious. The cozy, family-run vibe and charming decor really added to the experience. Definitely worth a visit! Large free parking lot outside.

Although it's technically not eggs Benedict the mornay was fantastic! Sauce delicious and the best ham and English muffin possible! My wife let me try her French Toast and is was Devine. We drove over an hour to eat at Little Rooster and I can't wait to go back!

Crab Cakes for breakfast !! Yum

We're carb-loading at the Little Rooster Cafe because let's face it, we need all the fuel we can get for the ride home. Their pancakes are insane and the "Crab Beni" is a game-changer.

    Flipp's flapjacks were awesome.

The food was spectacular - eggs mornay was my favorite; husband's frittata was very tasty. Service was great everyone friendly. Small quaint restaurant - service was efficient and they accommodated lots of people. We were from out of state and this place was worth the stop !! Don't miss this great place.

After are first stop to eat in Bennington, which we had a bad in counter so we didnt get to eat and continued on our merry way to this gem. They weren't especially friendly either but didn't push us out the door so it was a win. We got a seat right away so they get a bonus, just for that. The rush came in afterwards and was seated within a reasonable time. It took a few minutes to get our drinks. The service seemed OK but yes a little rushed but near the end if the meal the waitress mellowed out and even smiled after my companions conversation. We ordered our meals, which mine was a poached egg breakfast entree with ham and a sauce. My companion ordered the salmon entree and enjoyed it. We also ordered a side of hash to share and it was different, had lots of peppers and onions in it and chunks of cornbeef so crispy and sooooooo good!!!!!

Adorable, casual breakfast spot in Manchester. It was often packed but we didn't have to wait more than 20-30 minutes. Prices were reasonable and my breakfast was tasty. I enjoyed my mimosa, as well. Service was friendly and attentive.

Yum! We came for breakfast and loved it! We both had omelets (she had a special & I had Spicy off the menu). We also split Granola, fruit & Greek yogurt and a side of banana pancakes. Everything was delish. But I will say they serve "cheddar potatoes" as a side to most breakfast and I found it anticlimactic. For a "signature" side, I was hoping it would have a little more flavor. Standard tourist town high pricing.

Great find thanks to Yelp. Reviews were mixed on service, but we found our waitress to be very nice and appreciated our business. Super cut space all decked out in....yup, you guessed it....roosters! Cute chairs with painted nests/eggs were a nice touch at our table. I had one of their specials. It was the brisket hash and it was so darn good. Two poached eggs cooked perfectly and a couple pieces of local sourdough bread, lightly toasted with butter. It was the perfect amount and that brisket had an incredible smoky flavor that kept me going back in for more. Decent pricing. My kiddo had the (2) pancakes and they were very large and pretty thick. She loved them. Coffee was huge steps above diner coffee and they had a flavored option too (maple walnut). It used to be cash only, but they now accept cards over a certain amount. Great visit!

Excellent breakfast right in Manchester village and next to the outlet shops! We got a table quickly as we arrived at 9:30am, however when we were leaving, there was a line! So try and get there early to avoid the lines! Am on the search for corned beef hash, and Little Rooster Cafe made one of the better dishes! While I was very tempted to say the hash was the best, it was only until I tried Bob's diner that I realized it was slight better there. Also got maple coffee, very Vermont fitting! Pancakes were good too!

They still have specific male- female bathrooms which could be made available to both or 100 of the new sex orientations. My only problem is their hours. Most breakfast places seat diners during their open hours. If it says 1:30pm then the staff can get out by 2:30. This restaurant tends to push people away - who are there for brunch - at about 12:15. Not sure the owners know how much business they are actually turning away since it's not apparent that once someone has been turned away over an hour before their end of day never bother to return. Also now that tips aren't technically taxed I would think employees would like a full day of work. Perhaps they need 2 shifts of wait staff and/or open for breakfast at 8:00am rather than 7:00. I moved to Manchester 3 yrs ago and have been baffled by the shortage of people willing to work full time or employers willing to add part-time workers on their busy days (Friday through Monday) There must be a way to keep staff and accommodate early afternoon brunch (10-2pm) diners. Manchester is basically a resort town that has kept its small town feel - which is a positive - but most restaurants in the area depend on seasonal diners. (Ski season, Fall foliage (leaf peepers, Summer equestrian, musical, play events and quiet during "mud season" so many businesses take a break some time during April/May. Manchester is an odd duck of a town - more New England than upstate NY or E. Pennsylvania. Some old locals insist on calling lunch - dinner and dinner supper which just confuses anyone who isn't a member of the DAR. (Daughters of the American Revolution) I have friends here who had relatives come over on the Mayflower - it was obviously a VERY crowded boat.

Visiting the Maple Reserve was on my list of places to go while in Vermont this weekend. Touristy?…read moreYes. Worth it? Heck yes! Stopped in on Saturday midday thinking I was going to get a latte and maple creemee. However when I get there, I saw some guys drinking beers at the bar which piqued my interest so I took another look at the menu. Why not get an Affogatotini? Caffeine and a maple creemee all in one! This was DELISH! The girls that work here are so nice. I visited twice in the same day and both times this place was swamped. They took it in stride and still had a smile on their face while working through the line. The Maple Reserve offers ice cream / creemees, coffee, pastries and serves alcohol. They have a little area where you can also buy pure Vermont maple syrup, jams, sauces, small kitchen accessories, etc.

I saw one woman chilling on her laptop who had bought 3 things for herself: a cup of ice cream, some sort of cocktail, and a boba drink. She looked like she was loving life. Made with espresso from locally roasted coffee beans, the affogato with maple creemee was absolutely divine. They drizzled more maple syrup atop the creemee. It wasn't too sweet and just perfectly creamy, as the name suggests. I was pleased to see that there were many gluten free options, including the waffles, which come on sticks like popsicles. Would make the 3 hour trip just to try those one day. The Maple Reserve is definitely Aya-approved.
