I was recommended by my sister to try out Vermont Maple Creemee. It was absolutely fantastic. I don't think it's too sweet at all, and the fragrant smell of maple syrup was heavenly. My daughter's hard vanilla was also very good. If I have time to visit one more time before heading back to NJ, I must try the black raspberry. This is my first time in Vermont, so I was glad to stop at this local business. They had a large hot food menu, but we were there for the ice cream. Stopped by Cold Cow for some VT ice cream. Note they are not homemade, they sell the brand Island (branded as small batch Homemade from Vermont). Flavors offered were interesting. I have never heard of bacon in my ice cream so, of course we had to give it a try. Got a mix of VT maple bacon and Chocolate Chip Cookie dough. The VT Maple Bacon had chunks of bacon, if you are a bacon lover, then this is Your flavor! It was definitely more overpowering than I would've liked. The Chocolate chip cookie dough was very creamy and also has huge chunks of cookie dough. I ate lunch here a couple of weeks back and my friends and ordered shrimp quesadillas. We were quite surprised when we took our first bite to see so little shrimp for the $17.00 price that we had just payed. What surprised us more was the chef's attitude when we asked "where's the shrimp"?! The chef proudly told us after asking if we had found the shrimp( we had not) that she had put in six shrimp for one quesadilla. She or anyone in that restaurant never tried to make it right. We will never go back and pay for their overpriced and mediocre food with a huge side of attitude again!!! read more

One of my favorite spots to grab some ice cream with the guys! I routinely go almost everyday if not multiple times a day. The hospitality and customer service is what makes this place special. Weather it's lunch or dinner or a stop for some soft serve, you can't go wrong. I personally recommend the banana split. 10/10 recommend. read more

First time venturing out during a pandemic and was looking for a safe place to grab a snack and ice cream after a day of hiking on the Equinox trails. Right on Main Street was a cute outpost with safe outdoor seating. They have hard scoop ice cream, soft serve and sorbet. The day's flavors are posted on the board. The price was very reasonable. We also had a BLT and fries which were quite yummy after a day of hiking. It was very safe and sanitary. The maple creemee is not a real maple creemee...just vanilla softserve blended with maple syrup. It's way too sweet. Owner was very rude. No thank you and no apologies for not taking credit cards. Insisted on only cash or venmo. The ice cream was worse than any grocery store brand. It had ice chips in it and still with only one scoop was as expensive as Ben and Jerry's around the corner with two scoops. B and J was closed that day otherwise we would have never tried it anyway. Service without a smile! I arrived at 3:30 pm on a Monday. There was no one at the window, but I could see the owner inside at a table, talking on the phone. She was in my direct line of sight and ignored me while I waited for 10 minutes. That's not a long time, but in the hospitality industry, the polite thing to say is "Thank you for waiting." She had no words of welcome and sternly asked for my order (four ice creams). I had parked at the back of the parking lot, so when the ice cream was ready, I moved the car alongside the building marked "no parking" since my disabled senior husband, two kids, and two dogs were in the car. In my book, that's "standing," not "parking." I was not obstructing the driveway at all. After I had collected and delivered two of ice creams to the car, the owner noticed where the car was situated and asked me to move it. I asked if I could just leave it there while I collected the ice creams, and she told me that she would not give me the ice creams unless I moved the car to the back of the lot again.
