I came to this place twice and I love how they handle customer service and support. The first time I came to this store I was hoping that they can fix the camera on my phone and this was the second store of the day and the first store was more focused on a down payment than taking the time to figure out what was going on with my phone. I came across Geek Shop and decided to give them a try. Stan was really nice and patient with me since I was annoyed with personal reasons. He told me before a down payment he would like to open the phone and see if the issue is fixable before anything so give him 15 to 20 mins. I was taken back because most places ask for a down payment before even knowing if the issue is fixable. Unfortunately my camera couldn't be fixed which understandably is fine. He also gave me some phone advice since I had my phone for 4 years now love it. The second visit I met Tim at the store and he was really nice as well and knew what he was doing. My phone fell and the screen was black and I wanted to know how much it would be the repair of a phone screen and before thing he told me the two prices by quality of screen but before anything he believes probably the fall disconnected a wire from the screen and to give him 5 to15 mins. I stepped out and came back in 25 mins and it was back to normal as he detected a wire was detached, and he fixed it with no problem. I love this place and will definitely come back to this place because they are very trustworthy with customer's tech valuable.

I would like to start this review explaining that I always hear people complain about how "mom and…read morepop" stores can never survive with the advent of the "big box" stores and there are many people who will actually boycott the "big box" stores in favor of the little guy. I decided to give this place a try because I felt a neighborhood store would provide the friendly service that most would expect. My HP laptop was just shutting off and we decided that we needed to see what the problem was. I called the store and was told that we would recieve a free diagnostic check. That was the highlight of the experience. We brough the computer in and was told they would look it over and let us know what they find. After a few days we called the shop and was told there they thought it was a virus but needed to confirm. If this was the case, we would be looking at $95. That was worth it. After calling back, they mentioned that this could possibly be the motherboard, a $200 + job where my response was, we might as well just replace the laptop. After a few more days we were told that they believe it was a virus and would have the laptop in a few days. If you notice, the canned response was "a few days". My wife finally called them on a Tuesday and they said it would be ready the next day. She tried calling in the morning and even went to the store. The gates were closed for the majority of the day. When she called back in the evening, we were told that "they were in"!! The gates were closed but they were in, very interesting. We were told that they would definitely have it the following day (Thursday). When my wife asked what happened the day before they told us that there was a "family emergency". So which was it, a family emergency or you were there with the gates down? Not a great business move to lie to your customers. Finally, Thursday had arrived and I told my wife that I would pick it up. It was supposed to be ready that afternoon. When I got to the store, sure enough, it was not ready. It was "90 %" ready which for me was just ridiculous. The owner stated that he told my wife it would be ready between 5-7 which is B.S., as stated, he said the afternoon. I then asked in a calm voice, "is this how you normally do business?" and was told, "yeah, this is how we do business!". No sooner, the owner then got loud with me and told me to take my computer and get out of the store if I am going to yell. Funny, I never raised my voice. In any event, I took my computer home after wasting nearly 3 weeks for nothing. Really surprised that this guy was such a jerk and would recommend that if you are looking for computer repair, try Staples or the Geek Squad. I wish I could give this place no stars!!

In the case of the latter (though wouldn't it be exciting if they also offered vet services?), it was Park Slope Computers to the rescue. A highly rated repair shop walking distance from my house? Yes please. They correctly diagnosed the issue, special-ordered me a new keyboard, installed it in under an hour when it came in, and did it all for much, MUCH less than I expected to pay. And NICE people. My break-related bad luck aside, there's nowhere else I'd trust my computer with.

My web order was not on the shelf, even though I had a confirmation email, they saw the confirmation email in their system, and then weren't able to find it after 10 minutes of searching. They then told me to go to the floor (no help, no direction on where to go) to go find what they lost 2. I am told to go to a sales representative on the floor. I tell him what I need, knowing that there is still one left in their inventory since I didn't buy them out with my Web order. He searches the generic name of the brother labels i'm looking for (literally "brother's label cartridge"), the results are very long, he doesn't go past the first page, and he tells me that they don't carry that here at all 3. I then show him the page on the website with the right name. He finally looks it up. he tells me it's an aisle seven and tells me to go there. 4. I go to aisle seven I search for another 10 minutes, no help from any staff at this point, and no cartridge to be found - neither the one I ordered online nor the one they had left in inventory. Look, I know mistakes happen, but there was a point of friction on every single step in this process. There was no accountability, no support when things went wrong, and no accommodation once the experience is wrapped up. I've had two negative and two neutral experiences. I've tried. I'm sorry. Never coming back, and I'll let my friends know my experiences when it comes to electronics

I bought a Macbook pro in 2010, that I had became completely attached to. I love this computer as if it was family for real. After a couple years of wear and tear, it still was working well. Suddenly I started having problems with my lap top and I brought back to Apple to fix. The amount of money I paid to get it fixed, I might as well had bought a new one. When I went back for Apple to fix again, because whatever they had did to it, didn't work. They couldn't assist me at all. It was a big waist of money, for me to go back there. They were nasty to me and told me my computer was vintage and that they couldn't do anything for me, after I spent another $900 bucks to fix again. I was so upset. I gave up hope. One day I was riding pass Parkside ave, heading to Flatbush ave in Brooklyn, and I saw the store MacPC NYC. I was reluctant about going inside. I thought maybe this is just another store trying to get over on people. But my love for my Macbook pro, lead me to taking the chance. The gentleman that brought my computer back to life. Was so patient with me. Respectable and kind. I couldn't believe that in this day and time, they still have some good customer service out here in NYC. I got so used to the attitudes and rudeness, I've received elsewhere. At that point I didn't even care what his fee was, which I must add was extremely reasonable. I left that place as a Satisfied customer, with knowledge of computers and technology that I thought was too difficult to understand. He explained everything to me with ease. I felt like a little kid in a candy store, just wanting more. This gentleman and his business is awesome. I recommend anyone who is having a problem with there Apple products, to go and meet this guy. He is a pure genius and so pleasant to talk to. I wish him much success and I thank him for bringing my computer back to life. Man, where do I begin with my praises. I am always just so happy with the work done by Abdo and his team at MacPCNYC! They are very competitive in their prices as they are the least expensive electronics/computer repair shop anywhere around (in Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan...I've called and checked!) and their services are top notch, very professional and QUICK!!! Yesterday in the late afternoon, around 4 pm or so, I call Abdo at the store on a Saturday and tell him about my iPad cracked screen and messed up headset jack, both of which need replacement. He tells me to bring it in for repair and quotes me a great price. I get an email the next day (on a Sunday) at 10 am that it is ready for pick up. He even throws in an Otter Box case for me so I don't drop it again. OMG. This is why I keep sending all of my friends his way. My friend even brought her iMac from Jersey City in for him to do some work on it, upgrade it and transfer a bunch of stuff onto various devices and wipe it clean inside, all at a very low price and had it back to her the very next day as promised, so she made the trip and spent the night at my place for this. Yes, it is totally worth it to bring your computer for Abdo and his team for a customized, individualized consultation (call him first) that can have your machines up and ready to go, like new, for a really competitive price you will not find anywhere else. Dont bother going anywhere else BUT HERE!! Have you ever relied on YouTube videos or took matters into your own hands to try to save $$ on computer repairs? Welllll I DID AND BOY O BOY DID I ALMOST FRY MY MACHINE FOR IT! Thats when I desperately yelped a repair place and landed on Mac PC Repair. I was greeted by Darlene, a very friendly and reassuring assistant that handled my worries and thoroughly documented all my computer issues with the machine. I said "i need this looked at TODAY!!" Not only was the turn around time same day, but the owner Abdo took time to personally greet me and shared more than what I asked. He also said, "I am a referral business...how did you here about me?...Dont trust a computer repair business with your "baby" unless you do your research." A very thoughtful and real pointer!! I am a return customer at this point...I had overheating issues and a slower than slow computer. I now have a up-and-running machine. They give you a checklist that shows you what they worked on etc etc. THOROUGH to say the least. If you have ANY computer related issues, programs needed etc, Abdo will take care of you! He even goes out of his way and calls his sources if he doesnt have what you want to get it for you. Prices are VERY fair and worth every penny!! MAC PC REPAIR FOR PRESIDENT!! I'm a little late in getting around to writing this, but I had a phenomenal experience here. I was having a startup issue with my Mac (it wouldn't maintain power and was shutting off randomly--not to mention it was also doing this terribly annoying beeping thing), and so I googled some shops nearby and ended up giving MACPC a call (I'm lucky I live just down the street). I was told told to swing by the shop as soon as I could. Within minutes of presenting my issue to the owner (I think his name is Dr. Abdu Zandani, according to other reviewers), he had diagnosed and offered a solution to my problem, and he'd done it kindly and patiently, explaining to me, in layman's terms, exactly what was contributing to the issue, and how he was going to fix it. NOT ONLY did he assist me in fixing the issue mentioned above, he also cleaned my screen and keypad, and he checked and explained my computer's battery life and offered his thoughts on if/when I may want to consider replacing it. I was in the store for no more than twenty minutes. I've had no issues with my computer since. He only charged me the diagnostic fee (which is VERY reasonable). I'll be coming here for all my future tech-issue needs. Highly recommend. read more

Could not speaker higher of my experience here. The pricing is fair and the service is unparalleled. I stupidly pried off my space bar on my MacBook Pro and couldn't get it back on and some of the little pieces underneath were damaged. It's a little bit of an unusual problem for a software and inner hardware place so I wasn't sure how it would go. When I arrived, he was practicing removing and reattaching space bars on defunct Mac keyboards so he could be sure he could fix my space bar without any issues. He walked me through every step he was taking on the practice keyboards and on my own machine so I knew when he was doing, and successfully reattached the space bar. He replaced the little pieces that were broken and it's as if the key had never been removed! It's worth mentioning, that he is also extremely kind and positive and it was a joy to talk to him while he worked on my computer. After everything was fixed, for no extra charge he opened up the back and cleaned out the inside of my laptop, removing dust from the fan and other little tricks to help it run smoother. I have not used Yelp for years but I logged back in for Abdo Z. My laptop was having a slow death, I did not want to buy a new one. Apple told me to fix my laptop would be $495. She basically just looked at it and told me an estimate (No Help). I went to another computer repair company near me but the price he was asking for seemed reasonable until he added an "Apple Tax", I also figured the price would go up to the same fee as Apple Repair. I left right away, I came upon MACPCNY because my laptop needed to be fixed and it was now useable. I went in and Abdo is amazing! He talked to me in detail about my laptop, and even opened it, to show me how I can tell if it had water damage or not. His price quote is amazing! He was willing to work with me and my busy schedule. He was able to fix my laptop on the spot! My laptop had a screw loose on the inside and he fixed it immediately and my laptop was back to it's normal self. He's very fair and honest. All I can say is I am also a total convert. A true believer! Having read these reviews I decided to give them try. I was not entirely confidant, because sometimes it is through the excellent business ethic and customer service efforts of only a few - or even just one - individual at a tech support firm who has earned praise for the brand, and it is hit or miss if your job will be assigned to that person. I need not have worried. My earlier (and in some ways more complicated and challenging) MacBook Pro was attended to by the master. And a master he is; as well as more than fair. Quite exceeded my expectations for how quickly it was diagnosed, worked on (which required a large replacement part and virtually a complete disassembly, treatment for liquid that had reached from front to back, and then reassembly) returned to me all in the same day! Anyone who understands what is involved for these pre-2013 models, can only approve of such a turnaround. And the price was more than reasonable for the labor and parts. Look no further. I called MACPCNYC repair in Brooklyn, NY to make an appointment for a diagnostic of my very sick, very tired MAC computer. I spoke with the owner, Mr. Abdul, and was delighted to hear I could bring it in the same day. I'd tried unsuccessfully for weeks to have this done locally (Northern NJ) but could not manage to schedule a reasonably-priced, mutually-convenient time. I stumbled across a MACPCNYC business card amongst some old papers and decided to call out of sheer desperation. I honestly can't remember the last time I had the pleasure of doing business with an owner (be it shoe repair, dry cleaning, vehicle service, etc.) for whom quality Customer Service is truly a priority! Mr. Abdul listened to me, spoke with me in layman's terms, expertly diagnosed the problem, fixed it and did not try to "upsell" me! He VOLUNTARILY checked out my iPhone and corrected a couple "annoyances" I'd become used to dealing with. He also had me do a thorough "test run" before heading back to NJ. My iMac crashed and I needed to get it fixed quickly for work, and I feared losing all of my data (as my Time Machine had not been functional for nearly 8 months). Apple could set me up at the Genius Bar in a week, but they required a backup my data, as they couldn't guarantee any data recovery. All other places I called were weeks of waiting. I called MACPC and Abdo told me he could take my computer today, and could recover my data. In just over a day, he returned to me a new computer, with all of my files in perfect order, beautifully organized. He spent 30 minutes walking me through what he had done, where I could find all of my data, how it was (and could remain) fully secure, and answered all of my questions. And the price was incredibly reasonable, considering the meticulous nature of his work, and the education he gave me about ongoing computer maintenance. I think that I would have paid several $100 more if I had taken it to Apple. Highly recommend this outstanding service from a highly professional, super-sharp technician. Thank you Abdo!! read more

My MacBook Pro was running super slow due to lack of space, I had way too many things on it. Mr. Zandani ran a diagnostic test ($20) on it to assess what needs to be done to get her back into shape. He can restore your computer, he offers to back up your data for a fee if you haven't done so yourself. He is able to update your hard drive to a larger capacity or simply clear everything off. If you don't want everything erased off your computer then you have to explain that to him, I failed to do that and wasn't able to put somethings back on to my computer. Nevertheless Mr. Zandani was able to help me get them back. My baby works like new and I'm more careful not to let it fill up with downloads and etc unnecessarily. Other than apple product repair there are computers there with Internet and printers to use (with a fee of course) and a notary. I definitely recommend this company, Mr. Zandani is very passionate about what he does and does it well. The two young ladies that work there were very helpful as well, friendly service! read more

He did it again , ( THE GREAT ZANDANI ) helped me with my Mac desktop and my Dell laptop. My desktop, hackers made an attempt to take control over my computer. He gave them a jab and a upper cut and reduce them to slackers. My laptop , I purchased , software app from Microsoft , for my laptop , windows dvd player. It didn't work, I tried three regular dvds . I contacted Microsoft support they did a remote assist on my laptop for 15 to 20 minuets and informed me, it's a hardware problem with the optical drive, take it to the manufacture or my computer technician. The main man, the great Zandani, took him 5 minuets to resolve the so called problem, it was not the optical drive, Microsoft's software was garbage ( my words ) he uninstalled the garbage and installed VLC app and my laptop now plays dvds . People of Brooklyn and the other boroughs , if you want your computers and cell phones, tablets, to operate effectively , run to 216 Parkside Ave, MACPCNYC off of Flatbush Ave. I call him the great Zandani for a reason. read more

I went to six other repair shops in Manhattan with my dead 17" inch MacBook Pro (batterie?) problem and no one could help Johnny, my mac. And then, it was this one, right around the corner of my house, who solved the problem! The little man with grey hair and huge knowledge figured out that it's not the batterie, it's actually the hard drive that died. He saved all my data and even put it on a flash drive with meditation music, so I can always keep calm. He also cleaned all of Johnny's inside. And I mean real clean! I've not heard the ventilator since! The little man with grey hair installed a Solid Stay Drive, instead of a motor one. And mind you, the hipster shop in Chelsea installed the motor one that crashed two years ago for double the price! What I want to say: it's the truth when they say... There is no one else in the Brooklyn area (maybe even the entire NYC) with work that parallels that of MACPC. Mr. Abdo is by far the best, and his prices are very fair. I had some issues with my PC, in regard to the most recent update, and I'd read every forum available to me and tried everything I could to fix it myself. In the end, I felt I needed to take it to a technician. I read the reviews of MACPC, and thought that it might be a good place to check out. So I gave him a call, and he was more than accomodating, even going so far as to wait after hours to receive my desktop, since I was running late. He didn't complain when I called; he simply said that he would wait. And he did, patiently. I was very impressed with MACPC, and if I ever run into trouble with a computer again, this place will forever be trusted with my business. Five Stars, Mr. Abdo. Abdo will be the only person I'm going to go to whenever I have any Mac issues or iPhone issues!! I accidentally dropped my laptop & I came to Abdo & he fixed not just 1 of my laptops but 2. The best part was I didn't lose any data at all & he was SO HONEST about what repairs I really needed and also helped me save about $300 by advising that my batteries on both laptops still had some life left and to bring it back when I start seeing the real symptoms of when it really needs to be replaced. He's such a hard worker & he treats everyone with kindness & respect. Oh & he gave me a loaner which was CRUCIAL for my work (I'm a freelancer) and it was a really good loaner, not some old outdated Mac. Anyway, can't recommend him enough. My mac broke down on me. I called apple asking if they could help me get rid of the white screen during the loading part when you turn on a mac. We went through all the press this and hold that which nothing worked. The young man of the phone told me I had to bring my phone into apple. I said "yeah ok". I googled mac repair in Brooklyn and came across Than. I needed a place that was open on Sunday because I wanted my mac fixed asap. After getting a diagnostic of my mac he told me it wasn't worth fixing to be honest. He sold me a new mac and explained to me why my previous mac was broken. He FaceTimed me and showed me what the problem was, and showed me the specs on the new mac. I appreciate his honesty and his professionalism. I highly recommend coming here. This is my second time going to MacPc . What can I say Abdul is amazing !! He is very professional knowledgeable kind quick with a great demeanor and customer service. Not to mention very reasonable for what he does with a great smile that will put you totally at ease . He will do his utmost best and repair whatever your needs are . He is Mr fix it. If he tells you it can't be fixed then it can't. I recently had an experience with Apple and was told that nothing can be done to my device and it needed replacing . I am so grateful to find this place right in my neighborhood. The wifi on my computer stopped working after a coffee spill. Took it to the Apple Store and was told it would cost me $1,000 to repair because they have a policy of replacing everything instead of just the damaged wifi board. The guy at MACPC NYC literally opened up my laptop, simply cleaned the coffee of my wifi board and got it working again, all for a whopping $59!!! Can you believe it?? I was floored, stunned, and thrilled. I got the distinct feeling he is not in the business of making unnecessary repairs or taking advantage of a non-techie like me. I was having trouble with the track pad on my old Toshiba. I was fearful I'd have to replace the computer all together. After taking it in, Abdo said to give him 24 hours to determine if it was worth fixing. The following day I received a call from Darlene that it had been repaired. It was working fine for a few hours but malfunctioned again. I called Darlene and she said to bring it back for no additional cost. Abdo made the repair and it has been working very well ever since. He also cleared my system of junk and updated my software. I'm pleased with the repair and impressed with the customer service consisting of pleasant followup calls to make sure everything has been running smoothly. Christmas Eve morning my computer stopped working. I called MACPC because of the positive reviews on Yelp, and am so glad I did. I got an appointment within a few hours and the very gracious owner fixed my MacBook on the spot. Just like a good doctor he took time to question me carefully and genuinely listen to my description of what I'd experienced. He then calmly went about making and checking his diagnosis, explaining clearly as he went along what was wrong, and---he fixed it! He could have easily asked me to leave the computer and come back in a few days--it was late afternoon of the holiday eve. Three times I used this place, and three times I walked out totally satisfied. Extremely professional guy and he knows his stuff well. Fixed my problems each time (one was my kids macbook) and his prices were very reasonable. I was a bit nervous to use a storefront repair service but out of nesessity, as i needed that badboy back up and running asaffffp, i reluctantly went with them, but all of my worries vanished. I was delighted to deal with them. When your biz laptop crashes it can seem like the end of the world, but they put my mind at ease and fixed me up quick.
