HOW does this Macy's have more than 2 stars?! I used to appreciate this location for the variety it offers compared to other locations, but the customer service is close to none existent. Today I placed an online order for in-store pick up. The order was for eyeliner and lipstick. I had my son with me, otherwise I would've inspected the items on the spot. I just made sure two items were there and went on my way. I mean, isn't that the WHOLE point of ordering online and picking up, it's supposed to be convenient. Anyway, when I got home I finally took out the make up and to my horror, the lipstick didn't have any plastic wrap. Weird. Then upon further inspection I saw the "TESTER" sticker on it. It had clearly been used and had the wand clipped off! Are you kidding me?! How are you going to sell your customers items that others are testing. Even if they had removed the tester sticker, all the items should be sealed and brand new. The audacity and disgust! Now I have to haul my ass back there and return their disgusting little tester. This location never lets me down. For three years in a row I've been looking for multiple items during Xmas, only to find that this location has what I am looking for. I like that they will print out an inventory label for you at any location that will give you stock on the items that you are looking for. When I want to buy beautiful dresses, clothes, and makeup I always come here. Macy's is a place where you can find clothes, home decorations and so much more! I love that they try to be organized and that they have three floors to explore and find what you want! The first floor has everything that has to do with men clothing to shoes, makeup, perfumes, jewelry, and bags. You can find the perfect gift for someone special in this area. The second floor is more for Juniors to Senior clothing and this includes dresses, underwear, pijamas, and other clothes. The third floor has home decorations (for bed, kitchen, etc), babies and kids clothing. When I walked to Macy's today I loved how it smelled like all the perfumes they have and I loved that the staff interacted with the people in a good manner. I bought makeup from MAC which I love it and the customer service was brilliant because they were really friendly and kind to me. Then I bought some jeans and a shirt in a really good Labor Day discount! Made a pick up order and decided to do curbside pick up. After 10 min of waiting I was alerted that my order had been picked up... while I was still waiting for it. Went inside the order pick up booth , the lady at the desk said is "is your name ___" I answered yes and she handed me my order. Did not ask me for my ID. I decided to go shop here and see what they have. They were having a big sale on clothing, jewelry and bags. I picked up pink shorts, a dress for my daughter and two cute tops. I even looked at bags and they had Michael Kors bags for half off. Some were cute while others looked beat up. I definitely saved some money shopping for deals on clothing. The sales were up on the third floor. I enjoyed my shopping experience and the cashier was really nice. Everything was organized by size. A major plus. I love shopping here. I mainly come here for the footwear and the clothing when they have good sales obviously lol. Been coming here for years. But lately it's all curb side pick up. Signs blasted all over the store "stay in your car don't come out and leave your trunk up" you call the store the automated system before the employee pick up say stay in your car don't get out and live your trunk open. The employee answers the phone and repeats what the signs and automated system says. I get it bro staying in my car and not getting out. I visited the fine Jewelry section of Macy's on August 28th at 1:45pm. I was waiting for an employee to help me out for approximately 30 minutes. There was no other customers when I arrived, the two employees that were there one, with a Red tag decided to help another customer that arrived after me, than the other employee said I'll help you out in a minute, that minute turned to 30 minutes before she finally called one of the Managers over to help. The manager, Letty was very nice even offered for me to call the Store Manager in two days because the Store Manager was off. My son was at Macys tonight wanting to buy a jacket for his big bear trip on Christmas day. He went to the Chula Vista Macy's on Hst Street and Broadway. He was discriminated against by an employee in the men's department name, She assumed my son did not speak Spanish and assumed he was Anglo, which is white, and she proceeded to profile him as someone who was going to steal from Macys, even though he was at the register, asking for a jacket from the area that was locked, and she proceeded to tell the customer that she was helping at the time in Spanish that They lock the jackets up because of fucking bastards like him that steal. Went in to buy make-up. I waited at the Lancôme counter for someone to show up for about 10-15 mins. Finally someone at the Mac counter noticed I had been waiting and told me a lady at the Clinique counter could help. I brought my make up there to purchase. The lady at the Clinique counter told me it would a few mins. I waited another 10 mins- still nobody would ring up my purchase. I finally just put the make down and and left. Very unfortunate staff members at Michael Kors at Macy's. The lady working there (had a San Diego tattoo on her neck didn't get her name) saw my mom & I looking at two purses and after deciding not to get one of them she said she needed a key to put it back in its display and took it from my mom's hands without asking for it back. I decided I didn't want the second purse either but after the uncomfortable interaction with the lady I didn't want to talk to her because of her attitude. As we walked away from the Michael Kors section we were followed by workers and I found out they thought we were stealing, it upset me so much to know that above the bad attitude of the worker they had the audacity to think we'd steal when really we were actually turned off by the rude treatment. Since the pandemic I haven't been wearing too much makeup, but with things seeming to be getting back to somewhat normal, I thought I would go to Macy's to get a new spring/summertime blush and lipstick. I went to the Clinique counter and Jessica called over Stephany since she was assisting another customer. Stephany worked at the Estee Lauder counter, but was very knowledgeable about other brands as well! She and I worked together to find just the right blush and lipstick. She even went to another brand since she didn't think that she had a good shade of lipstick for me. I was impressed with that! I guess Stephany and Jessica work as a team because Stephany said that Jessica would check me out. I do like teamwork! I was extremely pleased with my experience today at Macy's because it was just the little pick me up that I wanted and it was such a great shopping experience. The customer service before 3:00pm is not bad. After 3:00 pm there is a noticeable difference between the quantity and quality of staff. Store personnel look completely bored and uninterested in their jobs. Employees texting on their phones, Checkout lines 7 deep with one cashier in the men's department. When I finally checked out in a different department due to slow service, the cashier didn't even greet me or bother to look up.
